The energy spectrum of cosmic rays above 2.5 x 10;{18} eV, derived from 20,000 events recorded at the Pierre Auger Observatory, is described. The spectral index gamma of the particle flux, J proportional, variantE;{-gamma}, at energies between 4 x 10;{18} eV and 4 x 10;{19} eV is 2.69+/-0.02(stat)+/-0.06(syst), steepening to 4.2+/-0.4(stat)+/-0.06(syst) at higher energies. The hypothesis of a single power law is rejected with a significance greater than 6 standard deviations. The data are consistent with the prediction by Greisen and by Zatsepin and Kuz'min.  相似文献

Structural and magnetic properties of CoCu films electrodeposited on polycrystalline Cu substrates were investigated as a function of cathode potential used for their deposition. The compositional analysis, performed by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, demonstrated that an increase in the deposition potential results in an increase in Co content of CoCu films. The crystal structure of the films was studied using the X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique. It was observed that they have a face centred cubic (fcc) structure, but also contain partly hexagonal close-packed phase. XRD results revealed that the (1 1 1) peak of fcc structure splits into two as Co (1 1 1) and Cu (1 1 1) peaks and the peak intensities change depending on the deposition potential and hence the film composition. The magnetic measurements were carried out at room temperature using a vibrating sample magnetometer. The magnetic findings indicated that coercivity decreases and saturation magnetisation increases with the increase of Co:Cu ratio caused by the deposition potential and also all films have planar magnetisation.  相似文献

A series of Co–Cu films with different Co:Cu ratio was electrodeposited at different electrolyte pH, deposition potential and film thickness, and their morphology, crystal structure and magnetic properties were investigated. Compositional analysis by energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy disclosed that the Co and Cu content were 75 and 25 wt%, respectively, at high pH (3.2) level, while for films at low pH (2.5) level the compositions are 61 Co and 39 wt% Cu, and further decrease of Co:Cu ratio occurred as the film thicknesses increased. The surface morphology of the films changed from an initial dendritic stage to expanded dendrites with increasing Cu content by the electrolyte pH. The dendrites became more obvious at 3 μm and the dendritic structures increased with further increase of film thickness as the Co:Cu ratio decreased. Hence, the increase of the Cu content is thought to be the cause of the increase of dentritic structure. Structural characterizations by x-ray diffraction (XRD) showed that all films have face-centered cubic structure. In the XRD patterns, the peak intensity of Co (111) is lower for the films grown at low pH compared to that of high pH, and the (111) peaks of Co and Cu slightly separated at 3 μm and then the intensity of the Cu (111) increased with increasing film thickness from 4 to 5 μm, so that the Co:Cu ratio changed at all deposition parameters. Magnetic measurements displayed that the saturation magnetization decreased and the coercivity increased as the Co:Cu ratio decreased with all deposition parameters. Also, the magnetic easy axis was found to be in the film plane for all films. It was seen that the variations in the properties of the films might be attributed to the change of Co:Cu ratio caused by the deposition parameters.  相似文献

The effects of a single-edge crack and its locations on the buckling loads, natural frequencies and dynamic stability of circular curved beams are investigated numerically using the finite element method, based on energy approach. This study consists of three stages, namely static stability (buckling) analysis, vibration analysis and dynamic stability analysis. The governing matrix equations are derived from the standard and cracked curved beam elements combined with the local flexibility concept. Approximation for the displacements using coupled interpolations based on the constant-strain, linear-curvature element (SC) has yielded results with reasonable accuracy. The numerical results obtained from the present finite element model are found to be in good agreement with those, both experimental and analytic, of other researchers in the existing literature. Results show that the reductions in buckling load and natural frequency depend not only on the crack depth and crack position, but also on the related mode shape. Analyses also show that the crack effect on the dynamic stability of the considered curved beam is quite limited.  相似文献

TiO2 nanorods (NRs) were synthesized on fluorine‐doped tin oxide (FTO) pre‐coated glass substrates using hydrothermal growth technique. Scanning electron microscopy studies have revealed the formation of vertically‐aligned TiO2 NRs with length of ~2 µm and diameter of 110–128 nm, homogenously distributed over the substrate surface. 130 nm thick Au contacts using thermal evaporation were deposited on the n‐type TiO2 NRs at room temperature for the fabrication of NR‐based Schottky‐type UV photodetectors. The fabricated Schottky devices functioned as highly sensitive UV photodetectors with a peak responsivity of 134.8 A/W (λ = 350 nm) measured under 3 V reverse bias.
