A mild,efficient and selective iodination of aromatic compounds using iodine and 1,4-bis(triphenylphosphonium)-2-butene peroxodisulfate

A simple and efficient method for the iodination of aromatic compounds has been achieved in the presence of iodine and 1,4-bis(triphenylphosphonium)-2-butene peroxodisulfate.

A new biflavonoid from Selaginella labordei Hieron.ex Christ

A new biflavonoid,2,3-dihydro-5,5″,7,7″,4′-pentahydroxy-6,6″-dimethyl-[3′-O-4′″]-biflavone 1 and two known biflavonoids 2,3″-dihydroochnaflavone 2 and 2″,3″-dihydro-3′,3′″-biapigenin 3 were isolated from the herb of Selaginella labordei Hieron.ex Christ.Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods.

Synthesis and characterization of novel poly（aryl ether）s containing naphthyl moieties

Two poly(aryl ether)s containing naphthyl moieties were prepared from bis(3,5-dimethyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)naphthyl methane (monomer 1) via nucleophilic aromatic substitution polycondensation with bis(4-fluorophenyl) ketone and bis(4-fluorophenyl) sulfone.The structures of these polymers were confirmed by ~1H NMR.The M_n values of the two polymers were 96,200 and 88,600, respectively.The polymers exhibited good thermal stabilities with 5%mass loss at T>400℃and high glass-transition temperature(T_g) of T>250℃...     

Determination of sulfur anions by ion chromatography-postcolumn derivation and UV detection

A novel method for determination of formaldehyde sulfoxylate,sulfite,thiocyanate,and thiosulfate in foodstuffs by ion chromatography separation with postcolumn derivation and UV detection has been developed.All species are separated at Dionex IonPac AG22A and AS22A with mobile phase of a mixture of 4.5 mmol/L sodium carbonate and 0.8 mmol/L sodium bicarbonate at a flow-rate of 1.0mL/min.The postcolumn derivation solution was 0.24%iodine in 0.2%phosphate acid and the detection wavelength was set at 288 nm...     

β-Cyclodextrin promoted oxidation of aldehydes to carboxylic acids in water

A facile,efficient and substrate-selective oxidation of aldehydes to carboxylic acids with NaClO catalyzed byβ-cyclodextrin in water has been developed.A series of aldehydes which could form inclusion complex withβ-cyclodextrin(β-CD)were oxidized selectively with excellent yields.     

Microwave-assisted synthesis of asymmetric thiocarbonohydrazones under solvent-free conditions

Six new asymmetric thiocarbonohydrazones 3a-3f were synthesized from following steps:firstly hydrazine hydrate reacted with carbon disulfide to form thiocarbonohydrazide(1) under microwave irradiation.Then compound(1) reacted with ketone and different aldehydes step by step to give 3a-3f with excellent yields under solvent-free conditions using microwave irradiation.Their structures have been determined by elemental analysis,IR,MS and ~1H NMR data.     

Two new flavanone glycosides from Macrothelypteris torresiana （Gaud.） Ching

Two new flavanone glycosides 1 and 2 were isolated from the aerial parts oi Macrothelypteris torresiana(Gaud.)Ching.The structures of two products were identified as(2S)-5,7,2',5'-tetrahydroxyfiavanone-2'-O-β-D-6"-O-acetylglucopyranoside and(2S)- 5,7,2',5'-tetrahydroxyflavanone-2'-O-β-D-glucopyranoside on the basis of their chemical and spectral analysis,respectively.     

Synthesis and fluorescence properties of cerium-KMgF_3 through a solvothermal process
