An investigation of porosity and isothermal crystallization kinetics of amorphous ice produced either by background water vapour deposition (ASW) or by hyperquenching of liquid droplets (HGW) is presented. These two types of ice are relevant for astronomical ice research (Gálvez et al., Astrophys. J., 2010, 724, 539) and are studied here for the first time under comparable experimental conditions. From CH(4) isothermal adsorption experiments at 40 K, surface areas of 280 ± 30 m(2) g(-1) for the ASW deposits and of 40 ± 12 m(2) g(-1) for comparable HGW samples were obtained. The crystallization kinetics was studied at 150 K by following the evolution of the band shape of the OD stretching vibration in HDO doped ASW and HGW samples generated at 14 K, 40 K and 90 K. Comparable rate constants of ~7 × 10(-4) s(-1) were obtained in all cases. However a significant difference was found between the n Avrami parameter of the samples generated at 14 K (n~ 1) and that of the rest (n > 2). This result hints at the possible existence of a structurally different form of amorphous ice for very low generation temperatures, already suggested in previous literature works.  相似文献

The stereochemical outcome of glycosylations with 2-azido-2-deoxy-D-gluco- and D-galactopyranosyl trichloroacetimidates as glycosyl donors has been investigated by using a series of chiro-inositol derivatives as glycosyl acceptors. The influence of the absolute configuration, the conformation and the conformational flexibility of the glycosyl acceptor has been studied by using different glycosyl donors under similar pre-established experimental conditions. Although the structure of the acceptor may play a role in governing the stereochemistry of these glycosylations, the results show that, in general terms, the relative influence of these factors is difficult to evaluate. For a given set of experimental conditions, the stereochemical course of these glycosylations depends on structural features of both glycosyl donor and glycosyl acceptor. It is a balance of these factors, where the structure of the glycosyl donor always plays a major role, which determines the stereochemistry of the coupling reaction. Therefore, the examples reported in the literature in which the structure of the glycosyl acceptor appears to be crucial in determining the stereochemistry of the reaction constitute particularly favorable cases which do not presently allow any further generalization.  相似文献

The chemical composition and the in vitro antifungal and antioxidant activity of the essential oil and the methanolic leaf extracts of Teucrium sauvagei Le Houerou, an endemic medicinal plant growing in Tunisia, have been studied. More than 35 constituents having an abundance >or=0.2% were identified in the oil. beta-Eudesmol, T-cadinol, alpha-thujene, gamma-cadinene, and sabinene were the prevalent constituents. Results of the antifungal activity tests indicated that the methanolic extract inhibited the in vitro growth of seven dermatophytes, whereas the essential oil showed average inhibition against only three dermatophytes. In vitro antioxidant properties of the essential oil and the methanolic extract were determined by DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) and ABTS (2,2'-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid)) assays and compared to those of the synthetic antioxidant Trolox. Due to their antifungal and antioxidant properties, the essential oil and the methanolic extract of T. sauvagei may be of use as natural preservative ingredients in food and/or pharmaceutical industries.  相似文献

Luminescence properties of Tb(III) and Eu(III) complexes of quinolonecarboxylic acid derivatives were studied. Optimal conditions of luminescence were determined, and the influence of surfactants and diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid on the luminescence properties of the complexes was studied. It was demonstrated that species-specific immunoglobulins labeled with terbium ions can be determined with the detection limit of the lanthanide label 5 x 10-14 M.  相似文献

Cathodic reduction of N-(2-acyl(or aroyl)phenyl)-2,2,2,-trichloro-N-alkylacetamide at -1.2 V (vs SCE) under aprotic conditions yields 3-chloro-1,4-disubstituted-2(1H)-quinolinones (1) as the major product. When the reaction is carried out at -0.8 V (vs SCE), 3,3-dichloro-4-hydroxy-1,4-disubstituted-3,4-dihydro-2(1H)-quinolinones (2) and 1,4-disubstituted-1,4-dihydro-quinoline-2,3-dione (3) are formed. Ring contraction of 2 and 3 in aqueous sodium hydroxide resulted in the formation of 3-hydroxy-1,3-dihydroindol-2-ones (5). The most plausible reaction mechanisms are proposed.  相似文献

Electrocatalysts based on platinized titania modified with ruthenia (0–9 mol %) were studied. The synthesized materials were investigated as working electrodes in potentiometric sensors sensitive to hydrogen and carbon monoxide. All electrocatalysts showed reproducible behavior at pure gas concentrations from 400 to 4000 ppm. In CO-H2 mixtures with comparable concentrations of both gases, the sensors were selective toward hydrogen at ≥0.05 mol % Ru, but not selective to hydrogen or CO at less than 0.05 mol % Ru in the substrate.  相似文献

The essential oils of fifteen Eucalyptus species harvested from the Jbel Abderrahman and Korbous arboreta (North East Tunisia) were screened for their antibacterial activities by the agar disc diffusion method. Eighteen major components as identified by GC/FID and GC/MS were selected for a study of the chemical and biological activity variability. The main one was 1,8-cineole, followed by spathulenol, trans-pinocarveol, α-pinene, p-cymene, globulol, cryptone, β-phellandrene, viridiflorol, borneol, limonene and isospathulenol. The chemical principal component analysis identified five species groups and subgroups, where each group constituted a chemotype, however that of the values of zone diameter of the inhibition (zdi) identified six groups of Eucalyptus oils, characterized by their antibacterial inhibition ability. The strongest activity was shown by E. platypus oil against Enterococcus faecalis and by E. lamannii oil against Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli. A correlation between the levels of some major components and the antibacterial activities was observed.  相似文献
