4′‐Substituted derivatives of 2,2′:6′,2′′‐terpyridine with N‐containing heteroaromatic substituents, such as pyridyl groups, might be able to coordinate metal centres through the extra N‐donor atom, in addition to the chelating terpyridine N atoms. The incorporation of these peripheral N‐donor sites would also allow for the diversification of the types of noncovalent interactions present, such as hydrogen bonding and π–π stacking. The title compound, C24H16N4, consists of a 2,2′:6′,2′′‐terpyridine nucleus (tpy), with a pendant isoquinoline group (isq) bound at the central pyridine (py) ring. The tpy nucleus deviates slightly from planarity, with interplanar angles between the lateral and central py rings in the range 2.24 (7)–7.90 (7)°, while the isq group is rotated significantly [by 46.57 (6)°] out of this planar scheme, associated with a short Htpy…Hisq contact of 2.32 Å. There are no strong noncovalent interactions in the structure, the main ones being of the π–π and C—H…π types, giving rise to columnar arrays along [001], further linked by C—H…N hydrogen bonds into a three‐dimensional supramolecular structure. An Atoms In Molecules (AIM) analysis of the noncovalent interactions provided illuminating results, and while confirming the bonding character for all those interactions unquestionable from a geometrical point of view, it also provided answers for some cases where geometric parameters are not informative, in particular, the short Htpy…Hisq contact of 2.32 Å to which AIM ascribed an attractive character.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to present the generalized biparabolic distribution (GBP) as a good candidate to be utilized as the distribution underlying to PERT methodology (Malcolm et al. in Oper. Res. 7:646–669, 1959). To do this and following the criteria established by Taha (Investigación de Operaciones, 1981) and Herrerías (Estudios de Economía Aplicada, pp. 89–112, 1989), we will compare the mean and variance estimates derived from each proposed density function, viz beta, two-sided power (TSP) and GBP distributions. Also we will compare the estimates contributed by the mesokurtic and of constant variance families of the aforementioned distributions. The main conclusion is that the GBP distribution is the most convenient to be used in the PERT methodology because its mean is almost as moderate as that of trapezoidal and its variance is much higher than that of the rest of distributions. As a consequence, it can be stated that the GBP distribution is an alternative to the other four-parameter distributions.  相似文献

A double approach was followed in the search of novel inhibitors of the surface choline‐binding proteins (CBPs) of Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumococcus) with antimicrobial properties. First, a library of 49 rationally‐designed esters of alkyl amines was screened for their specific binding to CBPs. The best binders, being esters of bicyclic amines (EBAs), were then tested for their in vitro effect on pneumococcal growth and morphology. Second, the efficiency of EBA‐induced CBP inhibition was enhanced about 45 000‐fold by multivalency effects upon synthesizing a poly(propylene imine) dendrimer containing eight copies of an atropine derivative. Both approaches led to compounds that arrest bacterial growth, dramatically decrease cell viability, and exhibit a protection effect in animal disease models, demonstrating that the pneumococcal CBPs are adequate targets for the discovery of novel antimicrobials that overcome the currently increasing antimicrobial resistance issues.  相似文献

This study aimed to obtain a third-generation snack from native rice starch (NS), rice starch modified by extrusion (MS), nopal flour (NF) and xanthan gum (XG). These raw materials were characterized by proximal analysis, pH, particle size distribution, water absorption index (WAI) and water solubility index (WSI), degree of substitution (DS), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), rheology, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The analysis of the response variables in the nine formulations of the snack: expansion index (EI), apparent density (AD), hardness (H), luminosity (L*) and tendency to green-red (a*), was performed through a composite central design (CCD), the selected formulations were characterized by SEM. Results showed an increase in WAI, 4.69 ± 0.04, and WSI, 12.61 ± 0.10, for MS, higher than NS values due to chemical modification. According to the color analysis the NF obtained a value of 60.73 ± 0.008 in L* and −6.51 ± 0.004 in a* with green tendency. The DS value obtained was 0.09 ± 0.005, being within the FDA’s permissible range for food use. By FTIR analysis, the acetyl group was corroborated. Finally, employing microwave cooking, snacks made from NS with concentrations of NF (5%) and XG (0%) obtained the highest EI value, 4.47, as well the low Dap and D value (0.37 g/cm3, 2.25 N, respectively), corroborated by SEM analysis.  相似文献

The chemical modification of porphyran hydrocolloid is attempted, with the objective of enhancing its antioxidant and antimicrobial activities. Sulfated galactan porphyran is obtained from commercial samples of the red algae Porphyra dioica using Soxhlet extraction with water at 100 °C and precipitation with isopropyl alcohol. The extracted porphyran is then treated with modified L-tyrosines in aqueous medium in the presence of NaOH, at ca. 70 °C. The modified tyrosines L1 and L2 are prepared through a Mannich reaction with either thymol or 2,4-di-tert-butylphenol, respectively. While the reaction with 2,4-di-tert-butylphenol yields the expected tyrosine derivative, a mixture of products is obtained with thymol. The resulting polysaccharides are structurally characterized and the respective antioxidant and antimicrobial activities are determined. Porphyran treated with the N-(2-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butyl-benzyl)-L-tyrosine derivative, POR-L2, presents a noticeable superior radical scavenging and antioxidant activity compared to native porphyran, POR. Furthermore, it exhibited some antimicrobial activity against S. aureus. The surface morphology of films prepared by casting with native and modified porphyrans is studied by SEM/EDS. Both POR and POR-L2 present potential applicability in the production of films and washable coatings for food packaging with improved protecting characteristics.  相似文献

Despite considerable progress on the study of the effect of standardized extract of Gingko biloba (EGb) on memory processes, our understanding of its role in the persistence of long-term memory (LTM) and the molecular mechanism underlying its effect, particularly episodic-like memory, is limited. We here investigated the effects of EGb on the long-term retention of recognition memory and its persistence and BDNF expression levels in the dorsal hippocampal formation (DHF). Adult male Wistar rats (n = 10/group) were handled for 10 min/5 day. On day 6, the animals were treated with vehicle or 0.4 mg/kg diazepam (control groups) or with EGb (250, 500 or 100 mg/kg) 30 min before the training session (TR1), in which the animals were exposed to two sample objects. On day 7, all rats underwent a second training session (TR2) as described in the TR1 but without drug treatment. Object recognition memory (ORM) was evaluated on day 8 (retention test, T1) and day 9 (persistence test, T2). At the end of T1or T2, animals were decapitated, and DHF samples were frozen at −80 °C for analyses of the differential expression of BDNF by Western blotting. EGb-treated groups spent more time exploring the novel object in T2 and showed the highest recognition index (RI) values during the T1 and T2, which was associated with upregulation of BDNF expression in the DHF in a dose-and session-dependent manner. Our data reveal, for the first time, that EGb treatment before acquisition of ORM promotes persistence of LTM by BDNF differential expression.  相似文献

Agro-industrial systems (e.g. dairy farms, feed lot, pig breeding and food processing plants) provide large quantity of organic wastes that could be recycled within the productive systems. However, the basic chemical characterisation is not enough to predict the effect that they may generate on the environment. In this study, a centrifugation process was applied at various speeds between 3000 and 15,000 rpm and carried out separately on two different livestock effluents (dairy farm and pig anaerobic digestate), in order to obtain supernatants and precipitates, which were studied separately. The more water soluble fractions, with lighter components and/or simpler structures, remained as liquid supernatants, while the more complex fractions, with higher molecular weight and/or water insoluble fractions, constituted the solid precipitates. An increase in the centrifugation rate did not produce the differential precipitation of dissimilar functional groups. Hence, 5000 rpm was the most adequate velocity since it generated clear supernatants without denaturation of the organic matter. A basic cost-effective chemical analysis, complemented with ultraviolet–visible and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, enables a set of properties to be established qualitatively and quickly for the multiple components of the organic matter for its later use as fertilisers or amendments. This rapid and economical technique allows for a characterisation prior to the reuse of the effluents, which is necessary to optimise their application and avoid environmental problems.  相似文献
