The class of quantum languages Q() over an alphabet is the class of languages accepted by quantum automata. We study properties of Q() and compare Q() with the class of regular languages R(). It is shown that Q() is closed under union, intersection, and reversal but is not closed under complementation, concatenation, or Kleene star. It is also shown that Q() and R() are incomparable. Finally, we prove that L Q() if and only if L admits a transition amplitude function satisfying a certain property and a similar characterization is given for R(). 相似文献

The double spin asymmetry in the (-->)e(-->)p --> e(prime)pi(+)n reaction has been measured for the first time in the resonance region for four-momentum transfer Q2 = 0.35-1.5 GeV(2). Data were taken at Jefferson Lab with the CLAS detector using a 2.6 GeV polarized electron beam incident on a polarized solid NH3 target. Comparison with predictions of phenomenological models shows strong sensitivity to resonance contributions. Helicity-1/2 transitions are found to be dominant in the second and third resonance regions. The measured asymmetry is consistent with a faster rise with Q(2) of the helicity asymmetry A1 for the F(15)(1680) resonance than expected from the analysis of the unpolarized data. 相似文献

This paper is concerned with the mixed sensitivity H∞ design in the most general, i.e., the four-block, case. This problem involves in a crucial manner the so-called four-block operator Γ, the norm of which is the achievable feedback tolerance. Our objective in this paper is to provide an interpretation for all singular values of Γ. These singular values are given an Adamjan-Arov-Krein interpretation in terms of the L∞ distance of an L∞ function to H∞(l). Intuitively, the singular values of Γ are the various tolerance levels that can be achieved if we allow a various number of unstable poles in the closed loop. Summary A small experiment, ?MiniMax?, has been set up in the C0 intersection region of the Fermilab Tevatron to seek evidence for
disoriented chiral condensates and to study other forward physics phenomena. The experiment consists of a proportional wire

Mean lifetimes of levels in 22Ne have been measured by the Doppler-shift attenuation method using the inverse reaction 4He(19F, pγ)22Ne. The Doppler-broadened lineshapes observed at 0° were analyzed using scaled experimental stopping powers and give the following results for each of the following levels (energy in keV and lifetime in fs): 4457 ( < 15), 5147 (1300 ± 500), 5522 (27 ± 4), 5641 ( < 20), 6311 (70 ± 10), 6345 ( < 15), 6636 ( < 20) and 6817 ( < 15). The lifetime of the 6311 keV 6+ level is particularly interesting for testing model predictions. The large basis shell model calculations of Preedom and Wildenthal are in good agreement with the experimental B(E2) values for the 2+, 4+ and 6+ members of the ground-state band. 相似文献
