The reaction of p-phenylenediamine with excess PCl 3 in the presence of pyridine affords p-C 6H 4[N(PCl 2) 2] 2 ( 1) in good yield. Fluorination of 1 with SbF 3 produces p-C 6H 4[N(PF 2) 2] 2 ( 2). The aminotetra(phosphonites) p-C 6H 4[N{P(OC 6H 4OMe- o) 2} 2] 2 ( 3) and p-C 6H 4[N{P(OMe) 2} 2] 2 ( 4) have been prepared by reacting 1 with appropriate amount of 2-(methoxy)phenol or methanol, respectively, in the presence of triethylamine. The reactions of 3 and 4 with H 2O 2, elemental sulfur, or selenium afforded the tetrachalcogenides, p-C 6H 4[N{P(O)(OC 6H 4OMe- o) 2} 2] 2 ( 5), p-C 6H 4[N{P(S)(OMe) 2} 2] 2 ( 6), and p-C 6H 4[N{P(Se)(OMe) 2} 2] 2 ( 7) in good yield. Reactions of 3 with [M(COD)Cl 2] (M = Pd or Pt) (COD = cycloocta-1,5-diene) resulted in the formation of the chelate complexes, [M 2Cl 4- p-C 6H 4{N{P(OC 6H 4OMe- o) 2} 2} 2] ( 8, M = Pd and 9, M = Pt). The reactions of 3 with 4 equiv of CuX (X = Br and I) produce the tetranuclear complexes, [Cu 4(mu 2-X) 4(NCCH 3) 4- p-C 6H 4{N(P(OC 6H 4OMe- o) 2) 2} 2] ( 10, X = Br; 11, X = I). The molecular structures of 1- 3, 6, 7, and 9- 11 are confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The weak intermolecular P...P interactions observed in 1 leads to the formation of a 2D sheetlike structure, which is also examined by DFT calculations. The catalytic activity of the Pd(II) 8 has been investigated in Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions.  相似文献

The thioether-functionalized metalloligand ferrocenyl-bis(phosphonite), Fe(C5H4PR)2 (4, R=-OC10H6(micro-S)C10H6O-) is synthesized in three steps starting from ferrocene, and its coordination behavior toward various transition-metal derivatives is described. The reactions of 4 with [Rh(CO)2Cl]2 or M(COD)Cl2 afforded the chelate complexes, cis-[Rh(CO)Cl{Fe(C5H4PR)2-kappaP,kappaP}] (5) or cis-[MCl2{Fe(C5H4PR)2-kappaP,kappaP}] (6, M=PdII; 7, M=PtII), respectively. However, treatment of 4 with CuX (X=Cl, Br, and I) produces binuclear complexes, [Cu2(micro-X)2(MeCN){Fe(C5H4PR)2-kappaP,kappaP}] (8, X=Cl; 9, X=Br; 10, X=I) where the sulfur atom on one side of the ligand is involved in a weak interaction with the copper center. Reaction of 4 with 1 equiv of Ag(PPh3)OTf gives the mononuclear chelate complex [Ag(OTf)PPh3{Fe(C5H4PR)2-kappaP,kappaP}] (11), whereas treatment with 2 equiv of AuCl(SMe2) produces the dinuclear gold complex [Au(Cl){Fe(C5H4PR)2-kappaP,kappaP}Au(Cl)] (12). The crystal structures of 10 and 12 are reported, where a strong metallophilic interaction is observed between the closed-shell metal centers. The palladium complex 6 catalyzes the Suzuki cross-coupling reactions of aryl bromides with phenylboronic acid with excellent turnover numbers (TON up to 1.36x10(5)).  相似文献

A photoactive float was fabricated with the modified titania to cause a feasible disinfection of water, contaminated with E. coli. The commercially available titania was doped with neodymium by pulverization technique to enhance its activity in sunlight and a multiapproach technique was used to evaluate the extended efficiency of the doped sample. X‐ray diffraction patterns depicted the retention of anatase phase on doping and the existence of neodymium was confirmed by the energy dispersive atomic X‐ray analysis and the X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Transmission electron microscopy and Bruner–Emmett–Teller analysis depicted a marginal increase in the particle size and a decrease in the surface area, respectively. Doping induces semiconductor behavior with lower band energy that could respond to visible light and exhibit better disinfection activity. The “f” and “d” transitions of the lanthanide in doped sample caused new electronic behavior of trapping/detrapping effect together with bandgap narrowing. The amount of malondialdehyde, protein, DNA and RNA released on destruction of E. coli was observed to be 0.915 × 10?3 μg mL?1, 859.912 μg mL?1, 20.173 μg mL?1 and 1146.073 μg mL?1, respectively. The above analytical methods along with standard plate count method substantiated the enhanced disinfection efficiency of the doped sample in sunlight.  相似文献

Mesocyclic thioether-aminophosphonite ligands, {-OC10H6(mu-S)C10H6O-}PNC4H8O (2a, 4-(dinaphtho[2,1-d:1',2'-g][1,3,6,2]dioxathiaphosphocin-4-yl)morpholine) and {-OC10H6(mu-S)C10H6O-}PNC4H8NCH3 (2b, 1-(dinaphtho[2,1-d:1',2'-g][1,3,6,2]dioxathiaphosphocin-4-yl)-4-methylpiperazine) are obtained by reacting {-OC10H6(mu-S)C10H6O-}PCl (1) with corresponding nucleophiles. The ligands 2a and 2b react with (PhCN)2PdCl2 or M(COD)Cl2 (M = Pd(II) or Pt(II)) to afford P-coordinated cis-complexes, [{(-OC10H6(mu-S)C10H6O-)PNC4H8X-kappaP}2MCl2] (3a, M = Pd(II), X = O; 3b, M = Pd(II), X = NMe; 4a, M = Pt(II), X = O; 4b, M = Pt(II), X = NMe). Compounds 2a and 2b, upon treatment with [Pd(eta3-C3H5)Cl]2 in the presence of AgOTf, produce the P,S-chelated cationic complexes, [{(-OC10H6(mu-S)C10H6O-)PNC4H8X-kappaP,kappaS}Pd(eta3-C3H5)](CF3SO3) (5a, X = O and 5b, X = NMe). Treatment of 2a and 2b with (PhCN)2PdCl2 in the presence of trace amount of H2O affords P,S-chelated anionic complexes, [{(-OC10H6(mu-S)C10H6O-)P(O)-kappaP,kappaS}PdCl2](H2NC4H8X) (6a, X = O and 6b, X = NMe), via P-N bond cleavage. The crystal structures of compounds 1, 2a, 2b, 4a, and 6a are reported. Compound 6a is a rare example of crystallographically characterized anionic transition metal complex containing a thioether-phosphonate ligand. Most of these palladium complexes proved to be very active catalysts for the Suzuki-Miyaura reaction with excellent turnover number ((TON), up to 9.2 x 10(4) using complex 6a as a catalyst).  相似文献

Human islet amyloid polypeptide (hIAPP) forms cytotoxic fibrils in type-2 diabetes and insulin is known to inhibit formation of these aggregates. In this study, a series of insulin-based inhibitors were synthesized and assessed for their ability to slow aggregation and impact hIAPP-induced membrane damage. Computational studies were employed to examine the underlying mechanism of inhibition. Overall, all compounds were able to slow aggregation at sufficiently high concentrations (10× molar excess); however, only two peptides showed any inhibitory capability at the 1:1 molar ratio (EALYLV and VEALYLV). The results of density functional calculations suggest this is due to the strength of a salt bridge formed with the Arg11 side chain of hIAPP and the inhibitors' ability to span from the Arg11 to past the Phe15 residue of hIAPP, blocking one of the principal amyloidogenic regions of the molecule. Unexpectedly, slowing fibrillogenesis actually increased damage to lipid membranes, suggesting that the aggregation process itself, rather than the fibrilized peptide, may be the cause of cytotoxicity in vivo.  相似文献

The crystal polymorphism of the anthelmintic drug, triclabendazole ( TCB ), is described. Two anhydrates (Forms I and II), three solvates, and an amorphous form have been previously mentioned. This study reports the crystal structures of Forms I ( 1 ) and II ( 2 ). These structures illustrate the uncommon phenomenon of tautomeric polymorphism. TCB exists as two tautomers A and B. Form I (Z′=2) is composed of two molecules of tautomer A while Form II (Z′=1) contains a 1:1 mixture of A and B. The polymorphs are also characterized by using other solid‐state techniques (differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), PXRD, FT‐IR, and NMR spectroscopy). Form I is the higher melting form (m.p.: 177 °C, ΔHf=≈105±4 J g?1) and is the more stable form at room temperature. Form II is the lower melting polymorph (m.p.: 166 °C, ΔHf=≈86±3 J g?1) and shows high kinetic stability on storage in comparison to the amorphous form but it transforms readily into Form I in a solution‐mediated process. Crystal structure analysis of co‐crystals 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 , 11 further confirms the existence of tautomeric polymorphism in TCB . In 3 and 11 , tautomer A is present whereas in 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 the TCB molecule exists wholly as tautomer B. The DFT calculations suggest that the optimized tautomers A and B have nearly the same energies. Single point energy calculations reveal that tautomer A (in Form I) exists in two low‐energy conformations, whereas in Form II both tautomers A and B exist in an unfavorable high‐energy conformation, stabilized by a five‐point dimer synthon. The structural and thermodynamic features of 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 , 11 are discussed in detail. Triclabendazole is an intriguing case in which tautomeric and conformational variations co‐exist in the polymorphs.  相似文献

In this "Emerging Area", the strategic classification of one-pot catalysis, i.e. cooperative, relay and sequential catalysis, is described. In order to illustrate this classification, we take the readers through a series of recent examples which utilize either metal-metal, metal-organo and organo-organo catalysts. The compilation clearly demonstrates the explosive growth and power of this field, which has become, in the last few years, an important technique particularly in the case of enantioselective catalysis.  相似文献

Three new types of siloxane‐based photoactive liquid crystalline polymers containing azo side groups were synthesized through the click chemistry route. The polymers having molecular weight range of 14,000–34,000 g mol?1 were soluble in most of the polar solvents like chloroform, tetrahydrofuran, dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulfoxide, and dichloromethane. The photoresponsive trans–cis photoisomerization under UV radiation and cis–trans relaxation process in dark for the polymers were studied. The isomerization rate constants were found to be 0.01–0.04 sec?1 and 1.16*10?4–4.67*10?4 sec?1, respectively. It has been noted that the polymers showed high intensity absorption for n‐π* in chloroform. Both trans and cis forms of azide monomers having azo moiety exhibited molar extinction coefficient ( ? max) in the range of 22,000–33,000 L mol?1 cm?1. The thermotropic behavior of the polymers was studied by polarizing optical microscope (POM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) experiments. Polymer P1 showed liquid crystalline textures of nematic droplets, whereas P2 showed smectic focal conic texture and nematic droplets. Polymer P1 was also studied for photomechanical bending on exposure to UV radiation. The polymers showed initial degradation temperature in the range of 210–275°C. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
