Recent experimental advances in ultracold Fermi gases allow for exploring response functions under different dynamical conditions. In particular, the issue of obtaining a "quasirepulsive" regime starting from a Fermi gas with an attractive interparticle interaction while avoiding the formation of the two-body bound state is currently debated. Here, we provide a calculation of the density and spin response for a wide range of temperature and coupling both in the attractive and quasirepulsive regime, whereby the system is assumed to evolve nonadiabatically toward the "upper branch" of the Fermi gas. A comparison is made with the available experimental data for these two quantities.  相似文献

Enzymatic complexes, constructed by linear‐dendritic copolymers and laccase, are used for the unprecedented one‐pot biotransformation of fullerene (C60) into epoxide‐ and hydroxyl‐derivatives under mild and environmentally friendly reaction conditions (45 °C and aqueous medium). The reaction is catalyzed by mediator pairs ‐ N‐hydroxy‐5‐norbornene‐2,3‐dicarboxylic acid imide/1‐Hydroxybenzotriazole or 2,2′‐Azino‐bis(3‐ethylbenzothiazoline‐6‐sulfonic acid)/1‐Hydroxybenzotriazole used in equimolar amounts. After 24 and 48 h, the biotransformation products ? C60On, C60(OH)n, C60(H)n(OH)n, and/or C60On(H)m(OH)m range between 50 and 78%, respectively. Their structure is revealed by FTIR, NMR, and mass‐spectrometry. The mechanism of the process is discussed and elucidated. The reaction procedure allows the repeated usage of the enzyme/linear‐dendritic complex, which retains its catalytic activity after several cycles. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The problem of chaos suppression by parametric perturbations is considered. Despite the widespread opinion that chaotic behavior may be stabilized by perturbations of any system parameter, we construct a counterexample showing that this is not necessarily the case. In general, chaos suppression means that parametric perturbations should be applied within a set of parameters at which the system has a positive maximal Lyapunov exponent. Analyzing the known Duffing-Holmes model by a Melnikov method, we showed that chaotic dynamics cannot be suppressed by harmonic perturbations of a certain parameter, independently from the other parameter values. Thus, to stabilize the behavior of chaotic systems, the perturbation and parameters should be carefully chosen.  相似文献

Age-related injuries are often connected to alterations in redox homeostasis. The imbalance between free radical oxygen species and endogenous antioxidants defenses could be associated with a growing risk of transient ischemic attack and stroke. In this context, a daily supply of dietary antioxidants could counteract oxidative stress occurring during ischemia/reperfusion injury (I/R), preventing brain damage. Here we investigated the potential antioxidant properties of coffee-derived circulating metabolites and a coffee pulp phytoextract, testing their efficacy as ROS scavengers in an in vitro model of ischemia. Indeed, the coffee fruit is an important source of phenolic compounds, such as chlorogenic acids, present both in the brewed seed and in the discarded pulp. Therefore, rat brain endothelial cells, subjected to oxygen and glucose deprivation (OGD) and recovery (ogR) to mimic reperfusion, were pretreated or not with coffee by-products. The results indicate that, under OGD/ogR, the ROS accumulation was reduced by coffee by-product. Additionally, the coffee extract activated the Nrf2 antioxidant pathway via Erk and Akt kinases phosphorylation, as shown by increased Nrf2 and HO-1 protein levels. The data indicate that the daily intake of coffee by-products as a dietary food supplement represents a potential nutritional strategy to counteract aging.  相似文献
