A FNAL E799 Collaboration has carried out a search for the lepton-family number violating decay π0 → μ±e using π0's produced from KL → π0π0π0 decays in flight. No events were observed. Assuming that lepton-family number violation is charge independent, the 90% confidence level upper limit on was determined to be 8.6 × 10−9.  相似文献

We have investigated the effects of grafted polymer chains [poly(ethylene oxide)-poly(propylene oxide)-poly(ethylene oxide)] on the bending modulus and the intermembrane interactions of lamellar membranes (C(12)E(5) water) by means of a neutron spin-echo and a small-angle x-ray scattering technique. In this study the hydrophilic chain takes the mushroom configuration on the membrane. The bending modulus of the polymer-grafted membranes increases in proportion to the square of the end to end distance of the polymer chain, which agrees well with the theoretical prediction of Hiergeist and Lipowsky [J. Phys. II 6, 1465 (1996)]. From the interlamellar interaction point of view, the mushroom layer is renormalized to the membrane thickness, which enhances the repulsive Helfrich interaction. When the size of the decorated polymer chain increases to the interlamellar distance, however, the mushroom is squeezed so as to optimize the interlamellar potential. Further increase of the grafted polymer size brings a lamellar-lamellar phase separation, where the grafted polymer chains are localized in the dilute lamellar phase and the concentrated lamellar phase forms the onionlike texture.  相似文献

Three new resveratrol oligomers, cotylelophenol C (1) (resveratrol tetramer) and cotylelosides A (2) and B (3) (O-glucosides of resveratrol trimer), together with four known glucosides of resveratrol oligomers (vaticasides A, B, C, D) and piceid, were isolated from an acetone soluble part of stem of Cotylelobium lanceolatum (Dipterocarpaceae). The structures of new compounds were determined by spectral data analysis. The characteristic properties observed in the NMR spectra of 1 were also discussed.  相似文献

A new experiment named MTV-G, probing a large electron spin-precession due to a possible strong gravitational field, which predicted by large extra dimension model, is started at TRIUMF from 2011. In an electron-nuclear scattering experiment, a strong gravitational field is tested as a large spin precession effect caused by geodetic precession predicted by general relativity theory as a result of a warped space-time around nuclei. Experimental design using spin polarized electron source and Mott-spin analyzer, commissioning experiment and the preliminary results are described.  相似文献

The shear-induced ordering of lamellar and gyroid structures of a nonionic surfactant C16E7/D2O system in a Couette shear cell ( 0.001 < < 10 s-1, : shear rate) has been investigated by using a small angle neutron scattering technique. In the lamellar phase, the steady shear flow having > 0.01 s-1 suppresses undulation fluctuations of lamellae (Maxwell effect). This suppression of fluctuations brings two effects; 1) shear-induced lamellae ordering toward a parallel orientation and 2) obstruction of a lamellar↦gyroid transition. It is quite interesting to note that there is a characteristic shear rate range ( 0.01 < < 0.3 s-1), where both effects take place. We have also investigated the shear effects on the gyroid phase. Below the characteristic shear rate range, the gyroid structure keeps three-dimensional network lattice, while above the characteristic shear rate range, the gyroid structure transforms to the parallel orientation lamellae (shear-induced gyroid-lamellar transition). Thus the shear flow having the characteristic shear rate plays very important roles in shear ordering phenomena. Received 26 June 2000 and Received in final form 12 January 2001  相似文献

The transient behaviour of the population of excited state helium atoms (2 3S1, 2 1S0, 2 3P) and molecules (2sσ3Σ+u) under a fast pulsed discharge excitation in pure helium has been studied experimentally using the optical interferometric method and the absorption method with nanosecond time-resolution. Experimental results are presented of the time dependent behaviour of these populations in the afterglow over a wide range of gas pressure from 35 Torr to 3 atm.  相似文献

Fourteen flavonol glycosides including two new compounds were isolated from the leaves of two Diospyros plants (D. cathayensis and D. rhombifolia). The structures of isolated compounds were determined by spectroscopic analysis. The scavenging activity of 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical of the isolated compounds was also investigated.  相似文献
