The hydroxylation of fatty acids is an appealing reaction in synthetic chemistry, although the lack of selective catalysts hampers its industrial implementation. In this study, we have engineered a highly regioselective fungal peroxygenase for the ω-1 hydroxylation of fatty acids with quenched stepwise over-oxidation. One single mutation near the Phe catalytic tripod narrowed the heme cavity, promoting a dramatic shift toward subterminal hydroxylation with a drop in the over-oxidation activity. While crystallographic soaking experiments and molecular dynamic simulations shed light on this unique oxidation pattern, the selective biocatalyst was produced by Pichia pastoris at 0.4 g L−1 in a fed-batch bioreactor and used in the preparative synthesis of 1.4 g of (ω-1)-hydroxytetradecanoic acid with 95 % regioselectivity and 83 % ee for the S enantiomer. 相似文献

Stability issues could prevent lead halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) from commercialization despite it having a comparable power conversion efficiency (PCE) to silicon solar cells. Overcoming drawbacks affecting their long-term stability is gaining incremental importance. Excess lead iodide (PbI2) causes perovskite degradation, although it aids in crystal growth and defect passivation. Herein, we synthesized functionalized oxo-graphene nanosheets (Dec-oxoG NSs) to effectively manage the excess PbI2. Dec-oxoG NSs provide anchoring sites to bind the excess PbI2 and passivate perovskite grain boundaries, thereby reducing charge recombination loss and significantly boosting the extraction of free electrons. The inclusion of Dec-oxoG NSs leads to a PCE of 23.7 % in inverted (p-i-n) PSCs. The devices retain 93.8 % of their initial efficiency after 1,000 hours of tracking at maximum power points under continuous one-sun illumination and exhibit high stability under thermal and ambient conditions. 相似文献

underwent pyrolysis in diverse conditions. The samples were characterized by thermal analysis, scanning electronic microscopy
and infrared spectroscopy. When the pyrolysis temperature increased, mechanical anisotropy resistance tended to disappear.

In recent years, a strong emphasis has been given in deciphering the function of genes unraveled by the completion of several genome sequencing projects. In plants, functional genomics has been massively used in order to search for gene products of agronomic relevance. As far as root-pathogen interactions are concerned, several genes are recognized to provide tolerance/resistance against potential invaders. However, very few proteins have been identified by using current proteomic approaches. One of the major drawbacks for the successful analysis of root proteomes is the inherent characteristics of this tissue, which include low volume content and high concentration of interfering substances such as pigments and phenolic compounds. The proteome analysis of plant-pathogen interactions provides important information about the global proteins expressed in roots in response to biotic stresses. Moreover, several pathogenic proteins superimpose the plant proteome and can be identified and used as targets for the control of viruses, bacteria, fungi and nematode pathogens. The present review focuses on advances in different proteomic strategies dedicated to the challenging analysis of plant defense proteins expressed during bacteria-, fungi- and nematode-root interactions. Recent developments, limitations of the current techniques, and technological perspectives for root proteomics aiming at the identification of resistance-related proteins are discussed. 相似文献

Considering the importance of the polarizability of the rings of calixarenes in the entropy-driven interaction processes, we examined the effect of entropy compensation on the complex formation of cone and partial cone (paco) conformers of tetranitro-calix [4]arene, possessing O-ethyl substituents at the lower rim. Both calixarene conformers were fully characterized including X-ray crystallography. Various para-substituted phenols were used as guest molecules. Photoluminescence (PL) measurements and quantum-chemical (QC) investigations were used. A permittivity dependence of the molecular interactions was obtained in different alcohols as solvents. It was found that the cone conformer of the title calixarene derivative forms stable complexes with all phenols of the p-substituted series. The free enthalpy changes show very high complex stability of cone calixarene with p-nitro and p-chloro-substituted phenols. In the cases of parent phenol, p-cresol and p- tBu-phenol, the stability is significantly lower; however, it slightly increases with the increasing electron density on the aromatic ring of guest molecules. Similarly, the entropy changes are significantly different for these two separated groups: the entropy changes obtained in the former cases are nearly the same, while large differences in the formation entropy were obtained in the latter cases. Both the experimental and theoretical investigations revealed that no considerable interaction exists between phenols and the paco conformer of the title calixarene. A multiresidue method for determining 22 polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in air has been developed and validated by gas chromatography
(GC) coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) using a triple quadrupole analyzer (QqQ). The method was validated in terms
of both steps of sampling and analysis. The sampling method, which is based on active sampling using polyurethane foam (PUF)
as adsorbent, was validated by generating standard atmospheres. The retention capacity of this sampling sorbent allows up
to 5 m3 of air to be sampled without any breakthrough for most compounds. Two solvent extraction methods were compared: sonication
and Soxhlet extraction with a mixture of n-hexane:diethyl ether (95:5 v/v). Both extraction methods yielded similar results, but the first one required less solvent
and time. The method exhibited good accuracy (80.3–99.8%), precision (2.2–15.2%) and lower limits that allowed quantification
and confirmation at levels as low as 0.008 ng/m3. Finally, the method was applied to the analysis of PCBs in the air in areas near to a municipal solid-waste landfill and
directly above the refuse in the landfill, where it indicatedd the presence of some of the target compounds.

Ferrocene-BODIPY (Fc-BDP) conjugates in which one or two ferrocene entities are linked to the β-positions of the BODIPY core by an ethynyl bridge have been developed. These derivatives were easily and efficiently grafted onto a dual-clickable fullerene platform using CuAAC reactions, leading to a clickable Fc-BDP-C60 triad and a clickable [Fc]2-BDP-C60 tetrad which can be used for further derivatization with complex structures. Due to the extended π-conjugation and the presence of an intramolecular charge transfer band from Fc to BDP, all these conjugates display a broad absorption in the visible region, which is bathochromically shifted when two Fc are appended to the BDP core. Ultrafast multistep electron transfers leading to charge stabilization were demonstrated in the Fc-BDP-C60 triad and [Fc]2-BDP-C60 tetrad by femtosecond transient absorption studies. 相似文献
