The rosemary extract was encapsulated in polyethylene or in covalently-based network gels. The covalent gels were obtained by the reaction of isocyanate end-capped polyethylene glycol (PEG) with β-cyclodextrin or glycerol. The 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay was used to evaluate the antioxidant activity (AA) of rosemary extract entrapped in polymeric structures and in ethanol or water solutions. The AA of the rosemary extract was determined using a DPPH radical for samples prepared in ethanol, and a water-soluble derivative, the sulphonated DPPH radical (DPPH-SO3Na), for the rosemary extract in water. Formulation of the rosemary extract in polymeric gels ensures a rapid release which determines the AA values similar to those in solution.  相似文献

The oxidation of polymers is characterized by the generation of free radicals, and the kinetic parameters depicting the progress of oxidation are specific for each material structure and formulation. The durability of materials depends intrinsically on the molecular structure, and degradation mechanism influences the long-term stability of products. The intimate transformations of macromolecules can be reliably characterized by chemiluminescence (CL), which depicts the evolution of oxidation state by the reaction of free radicals with molecular oxygen. The isothermal and nonisothermal CL spectra are complementary proofs for the interpretation of oxidation behavior involving hydroperoxide as the initiators of oxidation. The degradation of PLA takes place by decomposition and fragmentation to lactide. The values of five kinetic parameters (initial CL intensity, CL intensity at the first peak, temperature corresponding to the first peak, oxidation induction time and oxidation rate) obtained for oxidative degradation of PLA lead to the activation energies ranged between 49 and 99 kJ mol?1. The evolution of thermal degradation for poly(lactic acid) is an excellent example for the explanation of the decay fate of radical intermediates.  相似文献

The main purpose of the paper is the study of the total space of a holomorphic Lie algebroid E. The paper is structured in three parts. In the first section, we briefly introduce basic notions on holomorphic Lie algebroids. The local expressions are written and the complexified holomorphic bundle is introduced. The second section presents two approaches on the study of the geometry of the complex manifold E. The first part contains the study of the tangent bundle \(T_{\mathbb {C}}E=T'E\oplus T''E\) and its link, via the tangent anchor map, with the complexified tangent bundle \(T_{\mathbb {C}}(T'M)=T'(T'M)\oplus T''(T'M)\). A holomorphic Lie algebroid structure is emphasized on \(T'E\). A special study is made for integral curves of a spray on \(T'E\). Theorem 2.8 gives the coefficients of a spray, called canonical, obtained from a complex Lagrangian on \(T'E\). In the second part of section two, we study the holomorphic prolongation \(\mathcal {T}'E\) of the Lie algebroid E. In the third section, we study how a complex Lagrange (Finsler) structure on \(T'M\) induces a Lagrangian structure on E. Three particular cases are analysed by the rank of the anchor map, the dimensions of manifold M, and those of the fibres. We obtain the correspondent on E of the Chern–Lagrange nonlinear connection from \(T'M\).  相似文献

We give lower bounds for the degree of the syzygies involving the partial derivatives of a homogeneous polynomial defining an even dimensional nodal hypersurface. This implies the validity of formulas due to M. Saito, L. Wotzlaw and the author for the graded pieces with respect to the Hodge filtration of the top cohomology of the hypersurface complement in many new cases. A classical result by Severi on the position of the singularities of a nodal surface in \(\mathbb {P}^3\) is improved and applications to deformation theory of nodal surfaces are given.  相似文献

The nature of water interaction with tungsten nanorods (WNRs) fabricated by the glancing-angle deposition technique (GLAD)-using RF magnetron sputtering under various Ar pressures and substrate tilting angles and then subsequent coating with Teflon-has been studied and reported. Such nanostructured surfaces have shown strong water repellency properties with apparent water contact angles (AWCA) of as high as 160°, which were found to depend strongly upon the fabrication conditions. Variations in Ar pressure and the substrate tilting angle resulted in the generation of WNRs with different surface roughness and porosity properties. A theoretical model has been proposed to predict the observed high AWCAs measured at the nanostructure interfaces. The unique pyramidal tip geometry of WNRs generated at low Ar pressure with a high oblique angle reduced the solid fraction at the water interface, explaining the high AWCA measured on such surfaces. It was also found that the top geometrical morphologies controlling the total solid fraction of the WNRs are dependent upon and controlled by both the Ar pressure and substrate tilting angle. The water repellency of the tungsten nanorods with contact angles as high as 160° suggests that these coatings have enormous potential for robust superhydrophobic and anti-icing applications in harsh environments.  相似文献

Recent developments in bioanalytical instrumentation, MS detection, and computational data analysis approaches have provided researchers with capabilities for interrogating the complex cellular glycoproteome, to help gain a better insight into the cellular and physiological processes that are associated with a disease and to facilitate the efforts centered on identifying disease-specific biomarkers. This review describes the progress achieved in the characterization of protein glycosylation by using advanced capillary and microfluidic MS technologies. The major steps involved in large-scale glycoproteomic analysis approaches are discussed, with special emphasis given to workflows that have evolved around complex MS detection functions. In addition, quantitative analysis strategies are assessed, and the bioinformatics aspects of glycoproteomic data processing are summarized. The developments in commercial and custom fabricated microfluidic front-end platforms to ESI- and MALDI-MS instrumentation, for addressing major challenges in carbohydrate analysis such as sensitivity, throughput, and ability to perform structural characterization, are further evaluated and illustrated with relevant examples.  相似文献

Abstract  

Two synthesis strategies were used for the generation of azulene-1-yl diazenes substituted at C-3 with a phenyl-chalcogenyl moiety, the synthesis of azulenes substituted at C-3 followed by azo-coupling and azulene substitution at C-3 in azulene-azo dyes. The last synthetic route seems to give more satisfactory results for the synthesis of the desired chalcogenic derivatives. Another target of this study was to investigate the changes induced by the phenyl-chalcogenic substitution on the NMR and UV-vis spectra, and also to compare this effect with the one exerted by halogen atoms and by strongly electron donating groups such as AcNH or PhCOO. Whereas the latter groups exhibit a strong influence on the NMR and UV-vis spectra, PhS, PhSe, or PhTe groups as well as halogen atoms produce only a small effect because of the moderate change in electron distribution over the entire molecule.  相似文献

In this note, we address the following question: Which 1-formal groups occur as fundamental groups of both quasi-K?hler manifolds and closed, connected, orientable 3-manifolds. We classify all such groups, at the level of Malcev completions, and compute their coranks. Dropping the assumption on realizability by 3-manifolds, we show that the corank equals the isotropy index of the cup-product map in degree one. Finally, we examine the formality properties of smooth affine surfaces and quasi-homogeneous isolated surface singularities. In the latter case, we describe explicitly the positive-dimensional components of the first characteristic variety for the associated singularity link.  相似文献

We determine the rank generating function, the zeta polynomial and the M?bius function for the poset NC (B) (p, q) of annular non-crossing partitions of type B, where p and q are two positive integers. We give an alternative treatment of some of these results in the case q = 1, for which this poset is a lattice. We also consider the general case of multiannular noncrossing partitions of type B, and prove that this reduces to the cases of non-crossing partitions of type B in the annulus and the disc.  相似文献

After a brief history of the aromaticity concept, the use of Clar sextet circles is reviewed for explaining various aspects of planar aromatic systems (benzenoids, heterocycles) and of tridimensional carbon aggregates. When folding a graphene sheet for obtaining nanotubes, nanotori, or nanocones, the congruence of Clar sextet circles allows the classification of all such aggregates into two classes (congruent or incongruent) with marked differences in properties; this is in agreement with the well-known condition h - k ≡ 0 (mod 3), equivalent to congruence, in terms of the chiral vectors h and k for graphene sheets.  相似文献
