Using the multipoles method, we formulate the problems of radiation (both heave and sway) of water waves by a submerged sphere
in deep as well as in uniform finite depth water with an ice-cover, with the ice-cover being modelled as an elastic plate
of very small thickness. In each case this leads to an infinite system of linear equations which are solved numerically by
standard techniques. The added-mass and damping coefficients for a heaving and swaying sphere are obtained and depicted graphically
against the wave number for various values of the radius of the submerged sphere and flexural rigidity of the ice-cover to
show the effect of the presence of ice-cover on these quantities. When the flexural rigidity is taken to be zero, the numerical
results for the added-mass and damping coefficient for water with a free surface are recovered. 相似文献

The paper presents a general method to find asymptotics for a (multi-)wedge system containing a thin wedge. It employs separation
of the symmetric and anti-symmetric parts of the boundary displacements and tractions of the wedge. The method is applicable
when the angle of the thin wedge turns to zero. A physical interpretation of the derived equations is obtained by using power
expansions of non-polynomial functions, which appear after the Mellin transform. We establish that the first term in the expansion
of the symmetric part corresponds to shear, while the first term of the anti-symmetric part describes deflection of the wedge
axis. Numerical experiments, performed by using a code developed on the basis of the theory, show that using only the first
terms of the expansions insignificantly influence accuracy: the approximate results coincide with the exact values of roots

The coprecipitation of azo compounds based on 4-nitrophenyl- and 4-sulfophenyldiazonium naphthol sulfonates as their diphenylguanidinium ion-pair complexes with analogous compounds of naphthalene-2-sulfonic acid and 4-phenylsulfodiazonium is investigated. The optimization of the coprecipitation is considered based on the notions of the driving force of the cocrystallization of impurities. The optical characteristics of colored ion-pair complexes are measured. It is found that the water solubility is decreased most substantially for azosulfonates with hydrophobic nitro groups and with no more than two sulfo groups in different aromatic nuclei, which can lead to a decrease in the detection limit due to preconcentration by coprecipitation, which stimulates the thermodynamic flux of concentrate elution. Coprecipitation is combined with flow-injection analysis in the on-line mode, and new procedures are developed for determining naphthol sulfonates and related azo compounds with the detection limit equal to 0.003–0.006 mg/50 mL. 相似文献

Light‐emitting diodes based on organic materials [organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs)] have attracted much interest over the past decade. Several different attempts have been made to realize multicolor OLEDs. This article describes a new approach based on energy transfer in a donor/acceptor system. A copolymer containing both donor and acceptor compounds as comonomer units is prepared. The polymer consists of a derivative of a luminescent dye [4‐dicyanmethylene‐2‐methyl‐6‐4H‐pyran (DCM); acceptor compound], which is copolymerized with fluorene (donor compound) to combine the properties of an electroactive polymer with a highly luminescent dye. Photochemical processing is achieved by UV irradiation of this copolymer in the presence of gaseous trialkylsilanes. This reagent selectively saturates the C?C bonds in the DCM comonomer units while leaving the fluorene units essentially unaffected. As a result of the photochemical process, the red electroluminescence of the acceptor compound vanishes, and the blue‐green electroluminescence from the polyfluorene units is recovered. Compared with previous approaches based on polymer blends, this copolymer approach avoids problems associated with phase‐separation phenomena in the active layer of OLEDs. © 2006Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Solid solutions Cd1?x MnxGeP2 (x=0?0.19) have been synthesized and identified. In these solutions, the unit cell parameters decrease with an increase in the manganese content. The solid solution Cd0.81Mn0.19GeP2 is a ferromagnet with the Curie temperature T C ≈ 311 K. The paramagnetic moment of Mn2+ ions equal to 5.8 μB, as well as the spontaneous magnetization constituting 76% of the total magnetization of a crystal, has been determined with the use of the Langevin function. The origin of ferromagnetism in CdGeP2:Mn is exchange mediated by charge carriers (holes). These holes are caused by cationic defects in the structure of chalcopyrite. 相似文献

By the reaction of 2-nitrochalcone with hydrazine hydrate, 5-(2-nitrophenyl)-3-phenyl-1H-2-pyrazoline (I) and the hydrazone of 3-(5-(2-nitrophenyl)-3-phenyl-2-pyrazolin-1-yl)-3-(2-nitrophenyl)propiophenol (II) have been prepared. The acylation of both compounds I and II leads to N-acyl derivatives of the first. The acylating ability of formamide and N,N-dimethylformamide was observed in reactions with pyrazoline I.
