Taking advantage of computational chemistry, the best diamine for the synthesis of a multi‐dentate ligand from the reaction with 3‐(trimethoxysilyl) propylisocyanate (TEPI) was selected. Actually, predictive Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations provided the right diamino chain, i.e. ethylenediamine, capable to sequester a palladium atom, together with the relatively polar solvent toluene, and then undergo the experiments as a selective catalytic agent. The ligand was then prepared and applied for the decoration of the halloysite (Hal) outer surface to furnish an efficient support for the immobilization of Pd nanoparticles. The resulting catalyst exhibited high catalytic activity for hydrogenation of nitroarenes. Moreover, it showed high selectivity towards nitro functional group. The study of the catalyst recyclability confirmed that the catalyst could be recycled for several reaction runs with only slight loss of the catalytic activity and Pd leaching. Hot filtration test also proved the heterogeneous nature of the catalysis. 相似文献

Highly substituted Δ3-1,2,3-triazolines can be prepared by reaction of triarylvinyl Grignard reagents with functionalized organic azides. The heterocycles are fluorescent in the solid state, and—depending on the substituents—they can display aggregation-induced emission. Upon oxidation, the triazolines form stable radical cations with altered photophysical properties. Various CBB‐based methods for staining proteins separated by 2‐D gel electrophoresis were compared with regard to sensitivity and resolution. A modified Kang's CBB staining protocol, which we have modified, includes phosphoric acid in a concentration of 8% instead of the original 2%. This proved to be the best approach. Protein amounts as low as 2 ng and ∼2300 spots in the gel can be detected by employing this protocol. The modified procedure takes less time to carry out. Moreover, this practice is more sensitive and resolves more protein spots than most protocols reported to date and is compatible with subsequent mass spectrometric analysis. 相似文献

The cyclic cationic antimicrobial peptide gramicidin S (GS) is an effective topical antibacterial agent that is toxic for human red blood cells (hemolysis). Herein, we present a series of amphiphilic derivatives of GS with either two or four positive charges and characteristics ranging between very polar and very hydrophobic. Screening of this series of peptide derivatives identified a compound that combines effective antibacterial activity with virtually no toxicity within the same concentration range. This peptide acts against both Gram‐negative and Gram‐positive bacteria, including several MRSA strains, and represents an interesting lead for the development of a broadly applicable antibiotic. 相似文献
