Dioxo-2,5 pipérazines. 1. La synthèse des carboxythiazolo dioxo-2,5 pipérazines

A new and general synthesis of 2,5-dioxopiperazine condensed with the thiazolidine ring is described. The synthesis involves the use of N-ethoxy carbonyl-2-ethoxy-1-2-dihydroquinoleine (EEDQ) as activating agent to form the 2,5-diketopiperazine (EEDQ) as activating agent to form the 2,5-diketopiperazine ring. By this method 9-carbobutoxy-7,7-dimethyl-2,5-dioxo-8-this-1,4-diazabicyclo[4.3.0] nonane (6) and 9-carboxy-8,8 dimethyl-2,5-dioxo-7-thia-1,4-diazabicy clo [4.3.0] nonane (8) were obtained, with near quantitative yield, from 4-carboxy-2-carbobutoxy-5,5 dimethylthiazolidine (4). The former was transformed into acid 7 by hydrolysis with barium bydroxyde and the latter was esterified with diazornethane thus producing a methylester 9. The use of the ethy lester of N-(2-cabobutoxy-4-carboxy-5,5-dimethyl-thiazolidine)glycine (10) for synthesis of 6 was also successful. The spectromethric data were interpreted and confirm the proposed structure of the new compounds.

¹⁰³Rh Chemical shifts of a variety of mono- and di-nuclear rhodium carbonyl complexes are reported together with the modifications to the probe and decoupler unit of a JEOL PS-100 PFT spectrometer which enable these ¹⁰³Rh-decoupled ¹³C NMR measurements to be made. These data are discussed in conjunction with ¹³C NMR data on other rhodium carbonyls.

Control and Nash Games with Mean Field Effect

Mean field theory has raised a lot of interest in the recent years (see in particular the results of Lasry-Lions in 2006 and 2007, of Gueant-Lasry-Lions in 2011, of Huang-Caines-Malham in 2007 and many others). There are a lot of applications. In general, the applications concern approximating an infinite number of players with common behavior by a representative agent. This agent has to solve a control problem perturbed by a field equation, representing in some way the behavior of the average infinite number of agents. This approach does not lead easily to the problems of Nash equilibrium for a finite number of players, perturbed by field equations, unless one considers averaging within different groups, which has not been done in the literature, and seems quite challenging. In this paper, the authors approach similar problems with a different motivation which makes sense for control and also for differential games. Thus the systems of nonlinear partial differential equations with mean field terms, which have not been addressed in the literature so far, are considered here.

We prove that if k is a positive integer and d is a positive integer such that the product of any two distinct elements of the set {k + 1, 4k, 9k + 3, d} increased by 1 is a perfect square, then d = 144k ³ + 192k ² + 76k + 8.      

Global solution to a phase transition model based on a microforce balance

Our aim in this article is to prove the existence and the uniqueness of a global solution to a nonisothermal Ginzburg-Landau (Allen-Cahn) system. This system is obtained by considering, in addition to the fundamental laws of thermodynamics, a balance law for internal microforces proposed by M. Gurtin.

The functional equation P(f)=Q(g) in a p-adic field

Let K be a complete ultrametric algebraically closed field of characteristic π. Let P,Q be in K[x] with P′Q′ not identically 0. Consider two different functions f,g analytic or meromorphic inside a disk |x−a|<r (resp. in all K), satisfying P(f)=Q(g). By applying the Nevanlinna's values distribution Theory in characteristic π, we give sufficient conditions on the zeros of P′,Q′ to assure that both f,g are “bounded” in the disk (resp. are constant). If π≠2 and deg(P)=4, we examine the particular case when Q=λP (λ∈K) and we derive several sets of conditions characterizing the existence of two distinct functions f,g meromorphic in K such that P(f)=λP(g).
