2-local superderivations on a superalgebra $${{\rm M}_{\rm n}({\mathbb C})}$$

The aim of this paper is to show that every 2-local superderivation on an associative superalgebra is a superderivation.      

Jordan τ-Derivations of Locally Matrix Rings

Let R be a prime, locally matrix ring of characteristic not 2 and let Q _ms (R) be the maximal symmetric ring of quotients of R. Suppose that ${\delta}\colon R\to Q_{ms}(R)$ is a Jordan τ-derivation, where τ is an anti-automorphism of R. Then there exists a?∈?Q _ms (R) such that δ(x)?=?xa???aτ(x) for all x?∈?R. Let X be a Banach space over the field ${\mathbb F}$ of real or complex numbers and let ${\mathcal B}(X)$ be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on X. We prove that $Q_{ms}({\mathcal B}(X))={\mathcal B}(X)$ , which provides the viewpoint of ring theory for some results concerning derivations on the algebra ${\mathcal B}(X)$ . In particular, all Jordan τ-derivations of ${\mathcal B}(X)$ are inner if $\text{dim}_{\mathbb F}X>1$ .     

Elastic constants and state of stress of glass-reinforced strip

The author examines the problem of the state of stress of glass-reinforced strip under short-time loading, when viscoelastic effects are unimportant. The proposed model is composed of a system of parallel identical glass fibers the space between which is filled with a matrix—resin. The change in the elastic constants is found as a function of the volume content of glass reinforcing. Further, the stress distribution between the elementary fibers is investigated for a glass-reinforced plastic in the three-dimensional stress state.Mekhanika Polimerov, Vol. 2, No. 4, pp. 593–602, 1966     

Combined therapy of the antimetastatic compound NAMI-A and electroporation on B16F1 tumour cells in vitro

Ruthenium complex NAMI-A [ImH][trans-RuCl(4)(DMSO-S)Im] (Im = imidazole) is a potential chemotherapeutic drug in cancer treatment. Electroporation can be used to facilitate delivery of NAMI-A into cells. Suspension of B16F1 tumour cells from mouse melanoma in NAMI-A solution was exposed to a train of electric pulses. The effect of NAMI-A was determined by examining cell viability in clonogenic test. Our results show that electroporation increases the otherwise scarce in vitro effects of NAMI-A, i.e. reduces cell viability. At the conditions chosen for experiments 90% of cells survived in the presence of 1 microM NAMI-A, whereas in a combined treatment with 1 microM NAMI-A and electroporation only about 10% of cells survived.

Fundamentals of the theory of non-fabric glass-reinforced plastics

Starting from the known mechanical properties of the components (glass reinforcement and resin) the stress-strain relations for an anisotropic viscoelastic material (glass-reinforced plastic) are determined. Using Volterra's principle [2] of replacing the elastic constants in the solution of the problem of the theory of elasticity [5] by integral operators, relations for the given material are obtained and found to be in fairly good agreement with the experimental data. In a separate study the high-temperature behavior of GRP is investigated by calculating the integral operators, which are functions of the viscous properties of the resin and the temperature.Mekhanika polimerov, Vol. 1, No. 1, pp. 151–158, 1965     

On certain functional equations related to Jordan triple (q, f){(\theta, \phi)}-derivations on semiprime rings

The main purpose of this paper is to prove the following result. Let R be a 2-torsion free semiprime ring with symmetric Martindale ring of quotients Q _s and let q{\theta} and f{\phi} be automorphisms of R. Suppose T:R? R{T:R\rightarrow R} is an additive mapping satisfying the relation T(xyx)=T(x)q(y)q(x)-f(x)T(y)q(x)+f(x)f(y)T(x){T(xyx)=T(x)\theta (y)\theta (x)-\phi (x)T(y)\theta (x)+\phi (x)\phi (y)T(x)}, for all pairs x,y ? R{x,y\in R}. In this case T is of the form 2T(x)=qq(x)+f(x)q{2T(x)=q\theta (x)+\phi (x)q}, for all x ? R{x\in R} and some fixed element q ? Q_s{q\in Q_{s}}.
