A classical molecular mechanics force field, able to simulate coordination polymers (CP) based on ruthenium carboxylates (Ru2(O2CReq)4Lax) (eq = equatorial group containing aliphatic chains, Lax= axial ligand), has been developed. New parameters extracted from experimental data and quantum calculations on short aliphatic chains model systems were included in the generalized AMBER force field. The proposed parametrization was evaluated using model systems with known structure, containing either short or long aliphatic chains; experimental results were reproduced satisfactorily. This modified force field, although in a preliminary stage, could then be applied to long chain liquid crystalline compounds. The resulting atomistic simulations allowed assessing the relative influence of the factors determining the CP conformation, determinant for the physical properties of these materials. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

Highly selective tandem nucleophilic addition/cross‐coupling reactions of alkynes have been developed using visible‐light‐promoted dual gold/photoredox catalysis. The simultaneous oxidation of AuI and coordination of the coupling partner by photo‐generated aryl radicals, and the use of catalytically inactive gold precatalysts allows for high levels of selectivity for the cross‐coupled products without competing hydrofunctionalization or homocoupling. As demonstrated in representative arylative Meyer–Schuster and hydration reactions, this work expands the scope of dual gold/photoredox catalysis to the largest class of substrates for gold catalysts and benefits from the mild and environmentally attractive nature of visible‐light activation.  相似文献

An approximately linear correlation has been found between the enthalpy of complexation and the area of overlap of the chromophores using published structural and thermodynamical data on the self- and hetero-association of aromatic molecules measured under similar solution conditions. This finding is consistent with the assumption that short-range van-der-Waals forces dominate over other contributions to the enthalpy of stacking of aromatic molecules. It provides a ‘model-independent’ approach for a priori estimation of the enthalpy of aromatic–aromatic stacking interactions from knowledge of the structural properties or vice versa.  相似文献

As a new type of bifunctional catalyst, the Lewis acid transition-metal (LA-TM) catalysts have been widely applied for hydrogen activation. This study presents a mechanistic framework to understand the LA-TM-catalyzed H2 activation through DFT studies. The mer(trans)-homolytic cleavage, the fac(cis)-homolytic cleavage, the synergetic heterolytic cleavage, and the dissociative heterolytic cleavage should be taken as general mechanisms for the field of LA-TM catalysis. Four typical LA-TM catalysts, the Z-type κ4-L3B-Rh complex tri(azaindolyl)borane-Rh, the X-type κ3-L2B-Co complex bis-phosphino-boryl (PBP)-Co, the η2-BC-type κ3-L2B-Pd complex diphosphine-borane (DPB)-Pd, and the Z-type κ2-LB-Pt complex (boryl)iminomethane (BIM)-Pt are selected as representative models to systematically illustrate their mechanistic features and explore the influencing factors on mechanistic variations. Our results indicate that the tri(azaindolyl)borane-Rh catalyst favors the synergetic heterolytic mechanism; the PBP-Co catalyst prefers the mer(trans)-homolytic mechanism; the DPB-Pd catalyst operates through the fac(cis)-homolytic mechanism, whereas the BIM-Pt catalyst tends to undergo the dissociative heterolytic mechanism. The mechanistic variations are determined by the coordination geometry, the LA-TM bonding nature, the electronic structure of the TM center, and the flexibility or steric effect of the LA ligands. The presented mechanistic framework should provide helpful guidelines for LA-TM catalyst design and reaction developments.  相似文献

Miscanthus is resistant to dry, frosty winters in Poland and most European Union countries. Miscanthus gives higher yields compared to native species. Farmers can produce Miscanthus pellets after drying it for their own heating purposes. From the third year, the most efficient plant development begins, resulting in a yield of 25–30 tons of dry matter from an area of 1 hectare. Laboratory scale tests were carried out on the processes of drying, compacting, and torrefaction of this biomass type. The analysis of the drying process was conducted at three temperature levels of the drying agent (60, 100, and 140 °C). Compaction on a hydraulic press was carried out in the pressure range characteristic of a pressure agglomeration (130.8–457.8 MPa) at different moisture contents of the raw material (0.5% and 10%). The main interest in this part was to assess the influence of drying temperature, moisture content, and compaction pressure on the specific densities (DE) and the mechanical durability of the pellets (DU). In the next step, laboratory analyses of the torrefaction process were carried out, initially using the Thermogravimetric Analysis TGA and Differential Scaning Calorimeter DSC techniques (to assess activation energy (EA)), followed by a flow reactor operating at five temperature levels (225, 250, 275, 300, and 525 °C). A SEM analysis of Miscanthus after torrefaction processes at three different temperatures was performed. Both the parameters of biochar (proximate and ultimate analysis) and the quality of the torgas (volatile organic content (VOC)) were analyzed. The results show that both drying temperature and moisture level will affect the quality of the pellets. Analysis of the torrefaction process shows clearly that the optimum process temperature would be around 300–340 °C from a mass loss ratio and economical perspective.  相似文献
