A clique (resp, independent set) in a graph is strong if it intersects every maximal independent set (resp, every maximal clique). A graph is clique intersect stable set (CIS) if all of its maximal cliques are strong and localizable if it admits a partition of its vertex set into strong cliques. In this paper we prove that a clique C in a vertex-transitive graph Γ is strong if and only if ◂=▸◂⋅▸CI=V(Γ) for every maximal independent set I of Γ. On the basis of this result we prove that a vertex-transitive graph is CIS if and only if it admits a strong clique and a strong independent set. We classify all vertex-transitive graphs of valency at most 4 admitting a strong clique, and give a partial characterization of 5-valent vertex-transitive graphs admitting a strong clique. Our results imply that every vertex-transitive graph of valency at most 5 that admits a strong clique is localizable. We answer an open question by providing an example of a vertex-transitive CIS graph which is not localizable.  相似文献

In the present work, CoOOH films are synthesized from the electrochemical oxidation of α-Co(OH)2 as precursor. The substrate influences on the material electrochemical properties are studied. The samples are structural and morphologically characterized using techniques of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electronic microscopy (SEM). The cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge-discharge, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy techniques are used for the electrochemical characterization. The films deposited on steel substrate grew in the vertical hexagonal platelet form. Meanwhile, films on Ti plate presented morphology in agglomerated sphere form. After electrochemical oxidation, the film initial morphology is maintained. The films deposited on steel plate have a structure which favors charge storage showing a high specific capacity value (110.92 mA h g?1) and cyclic stability of 92% after 1000 cycles. Finally, the relaxation time constant value calculated was 5.6 s. This fact is making this material as a possible good candidate for application as electrode material or additive for other materials, in energy storage devices.  相似文献

Thin solid films of bis benzimidazo perylene (AzoPTCD) were fabricated using physical vapor deposition (PVD) technique. Thermal stability and integrity of the AzoPTCD PVD films during the fabrication ( approximately 400 degrees C at 10(-6) Torr) were monitored by Raman scattering. Complementary thermogravimetric results showed that thermal degradation of AzoPTCD occurs at 675 degrees C. The growth of the PVD films was established through UV-vis absorption spectroscopy, and the surface morphology was surveyed by atomic force microscopy (AFM) as a function of the mass thickness. The AzoPTCD molecular organization in these PVD films was determined using the selection rules of infrared absorption spectroscopy (transmission and reflection-absorption modes). Despite the molecular packing, X-ray diffraction revealed that the PVD films are amorphous. Theoretical calculations (density functional theory, B3LYP) were used to assign the vibrational modes in the infrared and Raman spectra. Metallic nanostructures, able to sustain localized surface plasmons (LSP) were used to achieve surface-enhanced resonance Raman scattering (SERRS) and surface-enhanced fluorescence (SEF).  相似文献

The synthesis of a poly(azo)urethane by fixing CO(2) in bis-epoxide followed by a polymerization reaction with an azodiamine is presented. Since isocyanate is not used in the process, it is termed "clean method" and the polymers obtained are named "NIPUs" (non-isocyanate polyurethanes). Langmuir films were formed at the air-water interface and were characterized by surface pressure vs mean molecular area per mer unit (Pi-A) isotherms. The Langmuir monolayers were further studied by running stability tests and cycles of compression/expansion (possible hysteresis) and by varying the compression speed of the monolayer formation, the subphase temperature, and the solvents used to prepare the spreading polymer solutions. The Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique was used to fabricate ultrathin films of a particular polymer (PAzoU). It is possible to grow homogeneous LB films of up to 15 layers as monitored using UV-vis absorption spectroscopy. Higher number of layers can be deposited when PAzoU is mixed with stearic acid, producing mixed LB films. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) absorption spectroscopy and Raman scattering showed that the materials do not interact chemically in the mixed LB films. The atomic force microscopy (AFM) and micro-Raman technique (optical microscopy coupled to Raman spectrograph) revealed that mixed LB films present a phase separation distinguishable at micrometer or nanometer scale. Finally, mixed and neat LB films were successfully characterized using impedance spectroscopy at different temperatures, a property that may lead to future application as temperature sensors. Multilayered nanostructured films have been widely investigated for electrochemical applications as modified electrodes, including the layer-by-layer (LbL) films where properties such as thickness and film architecture can be controlled at the molecular level. In this study, we investigate the electrochemical features of LbL films of poly(o-methoxyaniline; POMA) and tetrasulfonated phthalocyanines containing nickel (NiTsPc) or copper (CuTsPc). The films displayed well-defined electroactivity, with redox pairs at 156 and 347 mV vs SCE, characteristic of POMA, which allowed their use as modified electrodes for detecting dopamine and ascorbic acid at concentrations as low as 10−5 M. Four lignin samples were extracted from sugar cane bagasse using four different alcohols (methanol, ethanol, n-propanol, and 1-butanol) via the organosolv-CO2 supercritical pulping process. Langmuir films were characterized by surface pressure vs mean molecular area (Pi-A) isotherms to exploit information at the molecular level carrying out stability tests, cycles of compression/expansion (hysteresis), subphase temperature variations, and metallic ions dissolved into the water subphase at different concentrations. Briefly, it was observed that these lignins are relatively stable on the water surface when compared to those obtained via different extraction processes. Besides, the Pi-A isotherms are shifted to smaller molecular areas at higher subphase temperatures and to larger molecular areas when the metallic ions are dissolved into the subphase. The results are related to the formation of stable aggregates (domains) onto the water subphase by these lignins, as shown in the Pi-A isotherms. It was found as well that the most stable lignin monolayer onto the water subphase is that extracted with 1-butanol. Homogeneous Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films of this lignin could be produced as confirmed by UV-vis absorption spectroscopy and the cumulative transfer parameter. In addition, FTIR analysis showed that this lignin LB film is structured in a way that the phenyl groups are organized preferentially parallel to the substrate surface. Further, these LB films were deposited onto gold interdigitated electrodes and ITO and applied in studies involving the detection of Cd+2 ions in aqueous solutions at low concentration levels through impedance spectroscopy and electrochemical measurements. FTIR spectroscopy was carried out before and after soaking the thin films into Cd+2 aqueous solutions, revealing a possible physical interaction between the lignin phenyl groups and the heavy metal ions. The importance of using nanostructured systems is demonstrated as well by comparing both LB and cast films.  相似文献

We study relativistic quantum field theories in phase space, based on representations of the Poincaré group, using the Moyal product. We develop a perturbative theory for quantizing fields, with functional methods in phase space. The two-point function is related to relativistic Wigner functions for bosons and fermions. Metallic nanostructures, much smaller than the wavelength of visible light, which support localized surface plasmon resonances, are central to the giant signal enhancement achieved in surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and surface‐enhanced resonance Raman scattering (SERRS). Plasmonic driven SERS and SERRS is a powerful analytical tool for ultrasensitive detection down to single molecule detection. For all practical SERS applications a key issue is the development of reproducible and portable SERS‐active substrates, where the most widely used metals for nanostructure fabrication are silver and gold. Here, we report the fabrication of a ‘smart film’, containing gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), produced by in situ reduction of gold chloride III (Au+3) in natural rubber (NR) membranes for SERS and SERRS applications. The composite films (NR/AuNP membranes) show characteristic plasmon absorption of Au nanostructures, which notably do not influence the mechanical properties of the NR membranes. The term ‘smart film’ has to do with the fact that the SERS substrate (smart film) is flexible and standalone, which allows one to take it anywhere and to dip it into solutions containing the analyte to be characterized by SERS or SERRS technique. Besides, the synthesis of the AuNPs at the surface of NR films is much simpler than making an Au colloid and cast it onto a substrate surface or preparing an Au evaporated film. Recently, research on exact methods has been undertaken to solve forest management problems subject to constraints on the maximum clearcut area by using the area restriction model approach. Three main basic integer programming models for these problems have been discussed in the literature: the so-called cluster, path and bucket formulations. Solving these models via branch-and-bound, where all variables and constraints are used a priori, is adequately suited for real problems of a small to medium size, but is not appropriate for larger problems. In this paper, we describe a branch-and-price approach for the cluster model, and we show that this formulation dominates the bucket model, by completing the results of the dominance relationships between the bounds of the three models. Branch-and-price was tested on real and hypothetical forests ranging from 45 to 2945 stands and temporal horizons ranging from three to twelve periods were employed. Results show that the solutions obtained by the proposed approach stood within 1% of the optimal solution and were achieved in a short computation time. It was found that branch-and-bound was unable to produce solutions for most forests from 850 stands with either eleven or an average number of stands per clearcut greater or equal than eight.  相似文献
