Appending an amine to a C═C double bond drastically increases the nucleophilicity of the β-carbon atom of the alkene to form an enamine. In this report, we present the synthesis and characterization of a novel CF(3)-ONO(3-) trianionic pincer-type ligand, rationally designed to mimic enamines within a metal coordination sphere. Presented is a synthetic strategy to create enhanced nucleophilic tungsten-alkylidene and -alkylidyne complexes. Specifically, we present the synthesis and characterization of the new CF(3)-ONO(3-) trianionic pincer tungsten-alkylidene [CF(3)-ONO]W═CH(Et)(O(t)Bu) (2) and -alkylidyne {MePPh(3)}{[CF(3)-ONO]W≡C(Et)(O(t)Bu)} (3) complexes. Characterization involves a combination of multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, combustion analysis, DFT computations, and single crystal X-ray analysis for complexes 2 and 3. Exhibiting unique nucleophilic reactivity, 3 reacts with MeOTf to yield [CF(3)-ONO]W═C(Me)(Et)(O(t)Bu) (4), but the bulkier Me(3)SiOTf silylates the tert-butoxide, which subsequently undergoes isobutylene expulsion to form [CF(3)-ONO]W═CH(Et)(OSiMe(3)) (5). A DFT calculation performed on a model complex of 3, namely, [CF(3)-ONO]W≡C(Et)(O(t)Bu) (3'), reveals the amide participates in an enamine-type bonding combination. For complex 2, the Lewis acids MeOTf, Me(3)SiOTf, and B(C(6)F(5))(3) catalyze isobutylene expulsion to yield the tungsten-oxo complex [CF(3)-ONO]W(O)((n)Pr) (6). 相似文献

The observation of biological activity in solvent-free protein-polymer surfactant hybrids challenges the view of aqueous and nonaqueous solvents being unique promoters of protein dynamics linked to function. Here, we combine elastic incoherent neutron scattering and specific deuterium labeling to separately study protein and polymer motions in solvent-free hybrids. Myoglobin motions within the hybrid are found to closely resemble those of a hydrated protein, and motions of the polymer surfactant coating are similar to those of the hydration water, leading to the conclusion that the polymer surfactant coating plasticizes protein structures in a way similar to hydration water. 相似文献

Self-assembled colloidal crystals have attracted major attention because of their potential as low-cost three-dimensional (3D) photonic crystals. Although a high degree of perfection is crucial for the properties of these materials, little is known about their exact structure and internal defects. In this study, we use tomographic scanning transmission X-ray microscopy (STXM) to access the internal structure of self-assembled colloidal photonic crystals with high spatial resolution in three dimensions for the first time. The positions of individual particles of 236 nm in diameter are identified in three dimensions, and the local crystal structure is revealed. Through image analysis, structural defects, such as vacancies and stacking faults, are identified. Tomographic STXM is shown to be an attractive and complementary imaging tool for photonic materials and other strongly absorbing or scattering materials that cannot be characterized by either transmission or scanning electron microscopy or optical nanoscopy. 相似文献

Spatially selective excitation pulses have been designed to produce uniform flip angles in the presence of the RF and static field inhomogeneities typically encountered in MRI studies of the human brain at 7 T. Pulse designs are based upon non-selective, composite pulses numerically optimized for the desired performance over prescribed ranges of field inhomogeneities. The non-selective pulses are subsequently transformed into spatially selective pulses with the same field-insensitive properties through modification of the spectral composition of the individual sub-pulses which are then executed in conjunction with an oscillating gradient waveform. An in-depth analysis of the performance of these RF pulses is presented in terms of total pulse durations, slice profiles, linearity of in-slice magnetization phase, sensitivity to RF and static field variations, and signal loss due to T(2) effects. Both simulations and measurements in phantoms and in the human brain are used to evaluate pulses with nominal flip angles of 45° and 90°. Target slice thickness in all cases is 2mm. Results indicate that the described class of field-insensitive RF pulses is capable of improving flip-angle uniformity in 7 T human brain imaging. There appears to be a subset of pulses with durations ?10 ms for which non-linearities in the magnetization phase are minimal and signal loss due to T(2) decay is not prohibitive. Such pulses represent practical solutions for achieving uniform flip angles in the presence of the large field inhomogeneities common to high-field human imaging and help to better establish the performance limits of high-field imaging systems with single-channel transmission. 相似文献

We report growth of InAs/GaAs quantum dots (QDs) by molecular beam epitaxy with low density of 2 μm?2 by conversion of In nanocrystals deposited at low temperatures. The total amount of InAs used is about one monolayer, which is less than the critical thickness for conventional Stranski–Krastanov QDs. We also demonstrate the importance of the starting surface reconstruction for obtaining uniform QDs. The QD emission wavelength is easily tunable upon post-growth annealing with no wetting layer signal visible for short anneals. Microphotoluminescence measurements reveal well separated and sharp emission lines of individual QDs. 相似文献

Two-stroke mopeds are a popular and convenient mean of transport in particular in the highly populated cities. These vehicles can emit potentially toxic gaseous and aerosol pollutants due to their engine technology. The legislative measurements of moped emissions are based on offline methods; however, the online characterization of gas and particulate phases offers great possibilities to understand aerosol formation mechanism and to adapt future emission standards. The purpose of this work was to study the emission behavior of two mopeds complying with different European emission standards (EURO-1 and EURO-2). A sophisticated set of online analyzers was applied to simultaneously monitor the gas phase and particulate phase of exhaust on a real time basis. The gaseous emission was analyzed with a high resolution Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR; nitrogen species) and a resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer (REMPI-ToF-MS; polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons: PAH), whereas the particulate phase was chemically characterized by a high-resolution time-of-flight aerosol mass spectrometer (HR-ToF-AMS; organic, nitrate and chloride aerosol) and a multiangle absorption photometer (MAAP; black carbon). The physical characterization of the aerosol was carried out with a condensation particle counter (CPC; particle number concentration) and a fast mobility particle sizer (FMPS; size distribution in real time). In order to extract underlying correlation between gas and solid emissions, principal component analysis was applied to the comprehensive online dataset. Multivariate analysis highlighted the considerable effect of the exhaust temperature on the particles and heavy PAH emissions. The results showed that the after-treatment used to comply with the latest EURO-2 emission standard may be responsible for the production of more potentially harmful particles compared to the EURO-1 moped emissions. 相似文献
