Dopamine (DA) is an important neurotransmitter, which is created and released from the central nervous system. It plays a crucial role in human activities, like cognition, emotions, and response to anything. Maladjustment of DA in human blood serum results in different neural diseases, like Parkinson's and Schizophrenia. Consequently, researchers have started working on DA detection in blood serum, which is undoubtedly a hot research area. Electrochemical sensing techniques are more promising to detect DA in real samples. However, utilizing conventional electrodes for selective determination of DA encounters numerous problems due to the coexistence of other materials, such as uric acid and ascorbic acid, which have an oxidation potential close to DA. To overcome such problems, researchers have put their focus on the modification of bare electrodes. The aim of this review is to present recent advances in modifications of most used bare electrodes with carbonaceous materials, especially graphene, its derivatives, and carbon nanotubes, for electrochemical detection of DA. A brief discussion about the mechanistic phenomena at the electrode interface has also been included in this review.  相似文献

Compton scattering tomography is widely used in numerous applications such as biomedical imaging, nondestructive industrial testing and environmental survey, etc. This paper proposes the use of the genetic algorithm (GA), which utilizes bio-inspired mathematical models, to construct an image of the insides of a test object via the scattered photons, from a voxel within the object. A NaI(Tl) scintillation detector and a 185 MBq 137Cs gamma ray source were used in the experimental measurements. The obtained results show that the proposed GA based method performs well in constructing images of objects.  相似文献

Heating diazoaminobenzene with active methylene compounds 1–3 in microwave oven in acetic acid, in the presence of hydrochloric acid, afforded the corresponding arylhydrazones 5–7. These reaction products were condensed with ethyl cyanoacetate in a domestic microwave oven after 1–2 minutes heating to yield the pyridazinones 8–12. Compounds 8c and 12 reacted with sulfur in basic DMF solution, in microwave oven using MORE technology to yield the thienopyridazinone 14 and 16 respectively. While 17 was produced when 8b was treated like wise with sulfur and DMF in the presence of piperidine. Compounds 16 coupled with aromatic diazonium salts to yield arylazo derivatives 21a–c.  相似文献

The supramolecular interactions of the ocular drug tropicamide (TR) with cucurbit[7]uril (CB7) and cucurbit[8]uril (CB8) were investigated in aqueous solutions by using 1H NMR, ESI-MS and UV–vis spectroscopic techniques. The results indicate a 1:1 binding stoichiometry of TR with CB7 and CB8. The binding constants of TR in its protonated form were higher (e.g. K = 4 × 106 M? 1 with CB8) than in its neutral form (e.g. K = 1.4 × 104 M? 1 with CB8), which led to a complexation-induced increase in its pK a value of ca. 0.5 and 2 units with CB7 and CB8, respectively. In the presence of about 1% (w/v) CB8, the ionisation degree of 0.1% (w/v) TR was increased from 2% to 62% at neutral pH. The increase in the pK a value and thus stabilisation of the protonated TR species at neutral pH is discussed in the context of supramolecular drug delivery of ophthalmologic drugs.  相似文献

Malaria affects over 500 million people worldwide leading to 1–2 million deaths each year, the majority of whom are children. Four Plasmodium species cause malaria in humans. To properly diagnose, and correctly treat malarial infections, accurate diagnosis of infection is required. Proper diagnosis of infection will result in a reduction of morbidity, mortality, and of drug resistant parasites. However, the current tests for malaria diagnosis do not efficiently identify the appropriate human and parasite biomarkers associated with disease. Detection of specific inflammatory mediators such as cytokines associated with malaria pathogenesis will aid the determination of disease progression, disease prognosis, and the early diagnosis of malaria infection. In this study, we used dielectric thermal analysis (DETA), thermogravimetric analysis, and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) to characterize five human cytokines (IL-1α, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, and IL-10), to demonstrate how their thermoanalytical properties can be investigated for sensor design. Analysis for DETA was performed at a frequency range of 0.1–300,000 Hz. Permittivity and loss factor measurements were used to calculate tan δ values. Peak frequencies were used to determine dielectric signatures for each cytokine. The peak frequencies were different for each cytokine analyzed. In addition, activation energies were frequency dependent for IL-2 but frequency independent for the remaining four cytokines. Cytokines were also examined using DSC which established variance in heat of crystallization and heat of fusion of solvent among the five cytokines. A noticeable differentiation was observed with IL-1α among the other four cytokines when analyzed using trend analysis. Detection of unique dielectric signals will aid development of sensitive dielectric sensors capable of detecting cytokines in various human samples.  相似文献

Conjugated alkynes are recurring building blocks in natural products and in a wide range of important compounds, such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, or molecular materials. The palladium-catalysed cross-coupling reaction between the sp2-hybridized carbon atoms of aryl, heteroaryl, and vinyl halides with the sp-hybridized carbon atoms of terminal alkynes is one of the most important developments in the field of alkyne chemistry over the past 50 years. Room for improvement still exists in these important reactions of direct arylation of terminal alkynes. In this prospect, the present authors have developed several strategies aiming at improving the reactivity, the selectivity, and several aspects of processes involving the palladium-catalysed alkyne arylation and heteroarylation reactions, in relation with sustainable chemistry. Various original approaches have thus been adopted: (i) the development of catalytic systems efficient at low metal loading below 1 mol% of palladium and copper (to reduce metal contamination) from polydentate ligands chemistry, (ii) the limitation of diyne formation by undesired side-reaction, this from a better mechanistic understanding and the innovating use of copper adducts, (iii) and the development of cost-efficient catalytic reactions in ionic liquid solvents. These topics have been developed with the general outlook of a large scope in organic synthesis. In addition, the investigation of recycling opportunities and the unprecedented production of extendedly conjugated bis(aryl)diynes has been also achieved. The present account reviews all this work, as it has been presented by the corresponding author at GECOM–CONCOORD 2012 as recipient of the 2012 European journal of Inorganic Chemistry Young Investigator Award.  相似文献

The antimicrobial activity of thirteen newly synthesized 4‐thiazolidinones (TZONs) and four dithiolane derivatives was assessed against susceptible and resistant bacteria, including MRSA, as well as Candida albicans. The structure‐activity relationships revealed that 4‐Thiazolidinone derivatives harboring p‐chlorophenyl and dicarboxyethyl at the 2‐ethenyl and 5‐arylidine positions of the thiazolidinone ring display considerable antibacterial properties. No antifungal activity was recorded by all tested compounds against Candida albicans. The possible potentiative (synergistic) effect of the most active compounds to a few commercial antibiotics was also investigated.  相似文献

The antifungal and antioxidant activities of thirty newly synthesized 4‐thiazolidinone (TZON) derivatives were assessed against some fungal species including Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger. The introduction of different arylidene moieties at 5‐positions of the thiazolidinone ring successfully enhanced its biological activity. The structure–activity relationships revealed that 4‐thiazolidinone derivatives harboring dicarboxyethyl (at the 2‐ethenyl) and p‐nitrophenylhydrazyl arm (at the 5‐arylidine positions of the thiazolidinone ring) display considerable antifungal and antioxidant properties.  相似文献
