Sorption of vapors of four organic compounds in two glassy polymers, cellulose triacetate (CTA) and poly[(trimethylsilyl)propyne] (PTMSP), has been reported and analyzed in terms of Guggenheim‐Anderson‐De Boer (GAB) model. These two structurally and physicochemically different glassy polymers both independently showed that one sorption site was formed by about three monomeric units. This finding held true for vapors of all characterized compounds; that is, for methanol, for its derivatives dimethyl carbonate and methyl acetate, and for acetone. The “rule of three” might thus also be applicable to other sorbates and glassy polymers. Further, an original modification of the GAB model for the sorption of alcohols in PTMSP was derived and successfully tested. Overall, the analyses of the sorption isotherms, heats of sorption and diffusion coefficients supported the view that the sorption of vapors in glassy polymers has adsorptive nature. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Nuclear magnetic relaxation data for both proton and carbon-13 nuclei in solid lysozyme are analysed together to obtain information on local internal motions in protein. For this analysis the “model-free” approach is used. Three types of internal motion appear to determine the observed nuclear relaxation in protein. They may be attributed to local rotations of methyl groups around symmetry axes, the motion of main and side chain atoms like in rigid lattice, and large-amplitude motions of side groups (mainly, methylene groups). Conclusions on hydrated water influence on local dynamics of protein are made.  相似文献

We study exactly solvable Dicke-like model describing a system of spatially distributed two-level atoms coupled to a single mode cavity field. We study the model in one excitation sub-space, when the field is supposed to be initially in the vacuum state and just one atom of the atomic sample is excited. We show that depending on the particular spatial distribution of atoms the system under consideration can exhibit super-radiation or subradiation. Moreover, we investigate the dynamics of the two-atom system interacting with the cavity field initially prepared in an arbitrary state. Co-operative effects are discussed in this case.  相似文献

Attempts were made to plasma deposit an oriented π-conjugated polymer of pyrrole (Py) on paper surfaces in order to produce electrically conductive layers. The N/C atomic ratio of 0.13–0.24 was observed for all treatment conditions. This implies the nature of the deposition formed on the paper surface via pulsed plasma is different from that of pyrrole monomer. An increase in conductivity of all pyrrole-plasma treated papers was observed. The 50 W RF-power with 5 min plasma exposed paper sample shows 8.15 × 10−9 S·cm−1 conductivity. The conductivity measurements indicated a plasma-enhanced ring-opening reaction mechanism of pyrrole.   相似文献

Differential molar adsorption enthalpies (DMAE) were determined by gas chromatographic measurements of specific retention volume of vapors on the surface of two forms of Mg–Al hydrotalcite. A linear dependence of the DMAE on the number of the carbon atoms in hydrocarbons was observed for both form of hydrotalcite. The dependence of the differential molar adsorption enthalpies on the number of chlorine atoms in organic molecules is discussed. A linear dependence of DMAE on the molecular weight of chloroderivatives of methane and ethylene on the basic form in an order monochloromethane < dichloromethane < trichloromethane or vinylidene chloride < 1,1-dichloroethylene < trichloroethylene was found.  相似文献

Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infections are the major cause of cervical cancers. To achieve a better therapeutic efficacy and patient compliance in the treatment for HPV-induced cervical cancers, anticancer agent 5-fluorouracil has been formulated in a vaginal gel using the thermosensitive polymer Pluronic® F127 together with alternative mucoadhesive polymers e.g., hyaluronic acid, Carbopol 934 and hydroxypropylmethylcellulose. To increase its aqueous solubility and to achieve the complete release of 5-FU from the gel, the drug was incorporated as its inclusion complex with 1:1 molar ratio with either β-cyclodextrin or hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin. Following the characterization of drug:CD complexes, thermosensitive gel formulations containing different mucoadhesive polymers and the drug in free or complexed form were characterized in vitro by determining the gelation temperature and the rheological behavior of different formulations along with the in vitro release profiles of these formulations in pH 5.5 citrate buffer. It was observed that complexation with cyclodextrin accelerated the release of 5-FU with the exception of formulation containing Carbopol 934 as mucoadhesive polymer. As far as rheological properties are concerned, favorable thermosensitive in situ gelling properties were obtained with formulations containing HPMC as mucoadhesive polymer. Complete release of 5-FU from gels were obtained with both complexes of β-CD and HP-β-CD and cytotoxicity studies against HeLa human cervical carcinoma cells demonstrated that 1% 5-FU:CD complexes were equally effective as 1% free 5-FU indicating better therapeutic efficacy with lower dose.  相似文献

Summary. The phase diagram of the system Na3AlF6–NaVO3 was determined by means of thermal analysis. The system is a simple binary eutectic one. The eutectic point was estimated at x(NaVO3) = 0.975 and t eut = 617°C. The XRD patterns of samples after thermal analysis revealed the presence of cryolite and NaVO3 only supporting the above assumption of a simple eutectic binary system.  相似文献
