This article reports on the synthesis, characterization, and properties of various anthracene‐containing poly (p‐phenylene‐ethynylene)‐alt‐poly(p‐phenylene‐vinylene) (PPE‐PPV) polymers (AnE‐PVs) bearing statistical distributions of various side chains. Primarily, the ratio of linear octyloxy and branched 2‐ethylhexyloxy side chains at the poly(p‐phenylene vinylene) (PPV) parts was varied, leading to the polymers stat, stat1, and stat2. Furthermore, polymers also containing asymmetric substituted PPV and poly(p‐phenylene ethynylene) units (bearing methoxy and 2‐ethylhexyloxy side chains) were prepared yielding stat3, stat4, and stat5. These materials exhibit a broad variation in their photovoltaic properties. It is once more shown that side chains and their distribution can crucially affect the photovoltaic device performance. The introduction of units with asymmetric substitution into these systems seems to be harmful for their utilization in photovoltaic applications. Organic field‐effect transistors were fabricated to investigate hole mobilities in these new materials. Large variance was observed, falling in the range of almost two orders of magnitude, indicating rather different π–π stacking behavior of the polymer backbones owing to side‐chain modifications. Moreover, a selection of the new polymeric systems was investigated regarding their potential for light‐emitting diode (LED) applications. Polymer LEDs using the polymers AnE‐PVstat, ‐stat3, ‐stat4, and ‐stat5, as the active layer showed turn‐on voltage of ~2 V and exhibited red light emission. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This research aims to investigate the interaction between phytohemagglutinin-L (PHA-L) and sialic acid, which is abundant on the breast cancer cell (MCF-7) surface and displays monosaccharide characteristics, by experimental and computational methods. Experimentally, CdSe/CdS nanoparticles (QDs) were synthesized; PHA-L was conjugated with QDs and labeled with 125I. Radiolabeling yield was found to be 97 ± 1.2 %. Afterwards, in vitro bioaffinities of radiolabeled PHA-L conjugated QDs have been investigated on MCF-7 cells and it has been observed that the cell incorporation increased with time. The results indicated that 125I labeled QD-PHA-L conjugates represent significant affinity on MCF-7 cells. In the second step of the study, the crystal structure of carbohydrate interaction surface of PHA-L was extracted from the crystal structure of PHA-L. The interactions between this surface and sialic acid were calculated by computational tools. These calculations revealed specific interactions between PHA-L and sialic acid. Semi-empirical methods, PM3 and AM1, were used in these calculations. Significant outcomes have been obtained from the experimental and computational studies and these results demonstrated that PHA-L may be an effective agent for imagining MCF-7 cells. 相似文献

Functionalized bis(amino)phosphines of the type PhP(NHR)2 ( 1a–c ) and aminophosphines of the type Ph2PNHR ( 2a–c ) have been synthesized by treating PhPCl2 or Ph2PCl with corresponding primary amines of H2N-R where R = -CH2SO3H, -C6H4SO3H, and benzo-15-crown-5. The molybdenum(0) complex of the aminophosphine ( 3 ) has been obtained by reacting cis-[Mo(CO)4(bipy)] with aminophosphine ( 2c ). In this study, dodecyltrimethylammonium (DTMA) bromide was used to modify natural sepiolite via an ion exchange reaction to form DTMA-sepiolite. Sepiolite and DTMA-sepiolite were then characterized by using Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET), elemental analysis, XRD, FT-IR, thermogravimetric (TG) and zeta potential analysis techniques. The BET surface area of sepiolite significantly decreased from 152.14 m2 g–1 to 88.63 m2 g–1, after the modification, due to the coverage of the pores of sepiolite. DTMA was located onto sepiolite according to the differential thermogravimetric (dTG) peaks of DTMA-sepiolite. XRD results confirmed the interaction between DTMA+ cations and sepiolite. FT-IR spectra indicated the existence of DTMA functional groups on sepiolite surface. After the characterization was accomplished, adsorption isotherm studies of naphthalene, which is the first member of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), were carried out. The maximum adsorption capacity of DTMA-sepiolite for naphthalene was determined from Langmuir isotherm equation at pH 6 and 20 °C as 1.88 × 10–4 mol g?1 or 24.09 mg g?1. 相似文献

The increasing clinical importance of drug-resistant fungal and bacterial pathogens has lent additional urgency to microbiological research and new antimicrobial compound development. For this purpose, new pyrazoline derivatives were synthesized and evaluated for antimicrobial activity. Some 1-[(N, N-disubstitutedthiocarbamoylthio)acetyl]-3,5-diaryl-2-pyrazolines derivatives were synthesized by reacting 1-(chloroacetyl)-3,5-diaryl-2-pyrazolines with appropriate potassium salts of secondary amine dithiocarbamic acids. The chemical structures of the compounds were elucidated by IR, 1 H-NMR, and FAB+-MS spectral data. Their antimicrobial activities against Staphylococcus aureus (B-767), Escherichia coli (B-3704), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 27853), Proteus vulgaris (NRLL B-123), and Candida albicans (NRRL-27077) were investigated. 2-Nitrodiene compound 1 was stirred with p-fluorothiophenol for a long time and compound 3 was obtained. Compound 1 gave bis(thio)substituted 2-nitrodiene compound 4 and tris(thio)substituted compound 5 with 2 moles of p-fluorothiophenol in the presence of NaOH in ethanol. The compounds 9a–g have been prepared from 8a–g and 3. Compound 7 was obtained from the reaction of mono(thio)substituted 2-nitrodiene with morpholine. Compound 3 gives 11a–d in the reaction with piperidines in CH2Cl2 (or ether). Compound 13a–b have been obtained from the reaction of compound 3 with primary amines 12a–b. Compound 3 gives 15 and 16 in the reaction with 2,5-dimethylpiperazine in CH2Cl2. 相似文献
