Vacuum Polarization in Self-Field Quantum Electrodynamics

We have evaluated analytically the vacuum polarization in a Coulomb field using the relativistic Dirac-Coulomb wave functions by a new method. The result is made finite by an appropriate choice of contour integrations and gives the standard result in the lowest order of iteration. We used the formalism of self-field quantum electrodynamics in the evaluation of the vacuum polarization which needs neither field quantization nor renormalization. There are no infrared or ultraviolet divergences.

Rigidity of Asymptotically Hyperbolic Manifolds

In this paper, we prove a rigidity theorem of asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds only under the assumptions on curvature. Its proof is based on analyzing asymptotic structures of such manifolds at infinity and a volume comparison theorem.The first author’s research is partially supported by NSF grant of China.The second author’s research is partially supported by an NSF grant and a Simon fund.     

Quantization of Classical Dynamical <Emphasis Type="Italic">r</Emphasis>-Matrices with Nonabelian Base

We construct some classes of dynamical r-matrices over a nonabelian base, and quantize some of them by constructing dynamical (pseudo)twists in the sense of Xu. This way, we obtain quantizations of r-matrices obtained in earlier work of the second author with Schiffmann and Varchenko. A part of our construction may be viewed as a generalization of the Donin-Mudrov nonabelian fusion construction. We apply these results to the construction of equivariant star-products on Poisson homogeneous spaces, which include some homogeneous spaces introduced by De Concini.Acknowledgement The authors thank J.
