Template reactions of 2,4-dihydroxy-, 2,5-dihydroxy-, 2-hydroxy-3-methoxy- and 2-hydroxy-4-methoxy-benzaldehyde with methoxy- and hydroxy-substituted salicylaldehyde S-methylthiosemicarbazones in the presence of NiCl2 and FeCl3 resulted in the corresponding hydroxy- and methoxy-substituted N1,N4-diarylidene-S-methylthiosemi-carbazone complexes. Characterization of the compounds, [Fe(L)Cl] and [Ni(L)], was accomplished by means of elemental analysis, conductivity and magnetic measurements, i.r. and 1H-n.m.r. spectra. Synthesis and proton conductivity studies of polystyrene‐based triazole functional polymer membranes

In this study, poly(vinylbenzylchloride) (PVBC) was produced by free‐radical polymerization of 4‐vinylbenzylchloride, and then it was functionalized with 3‐amino‐1,2,4‐triazole (ATri) and 1H‐1,2,4‐triazole (Tri). The composition of the polymers was verified by elemental analysis, and the structure was characterized by Fourier transform infrared and 13C‐nuclear magnetic resonance spectra. PVBC was modified by ATri with 68% and Tri with 50% yield. The polymers were doped with trifluoromethanesulfonic acid (TA) at various molar ratios, X = 0.5, 1, 2, and 3 with respect to aminotriazole and triazole units. Proton transfer from TA to the triazole rings was proved with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Thermogravimetric analysis showed that the samples are thermally stable up to approximately 200 °C. Differential scanning calorimetry results illustrated the homogeneity of the materials. Under anhydrous conditions, PVBCATri3TA and PVBCTri3TA showed highest proton conductivity of 0.086 and 0.042 S/cm, respectively. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. An oestrogen derivative 3,17-a-oestradiolyl propyl 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecanyl-1-(4-methylbenzoic acid)ester (ESTCPTA) that is 3,17-a-oestradiolyl propinol coupled to 1-(4-methylbenzoic acid)1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane (CPTA) was synthesized in five steps. The product was purified by recrystallization in ethyl alcohol, and analysed by NMR and IR spectroscopy. ESTCPTA was labeled with 99mTc and radio thin layer chromatography (RTLC) and radio-paper electrophoresis were used to determine the radiochemical yields. Specific activity was approximately 23.7 GBq/mmol and the labeling yield was over 95%. The biodistribution studies were performed on female Albino Wistar rats. The rats were sacricified by ether narcotization at certain time intervals and the activity of the organs was counted by a gamma counter. Pomegranate pulp has been used as novel adsorbent for removing Cu(II) ions from aqueous solution. The optimum conditions for removal of Cu(II) ions were found to be pH 5.32, biosorbent dose 0.1 g, contact time 120 minutes, initial concentration 50 mg/L, and temperature 30°C. The kinetic data were well fitted to the pseudo-second-order model. The biosorption process agreed with the Langmuir isotherm model. Maximum monolayer biosorption capacity was 7.30 mg/g. Thermodynamic parameters suggest that the biosorption process is spontaneous and exothermic. Desorption studies were carried out with different desorbing agents. 相似文献

Phosphonic acid functional polymers are currently of interest because of their high proton conductivity in humidified and anhydrous systems. In addition, heterocyclic compounds are used in anhydrous proton conducting polymer membranes. In that study, a new copolymer based on 1‐vinyl‐1,2,4‐triazole (VTri) and diisopropyl‐p‐vinylbenzyl phosphonate (VBP) was synthesized, and their thermal, chemical, and proton conducting properties were investigated. The copolymers were synthesized by free radical copolymerization of the corresponding monomers at several monomer feed ratios to obtain P(VTri‐co‐VBP) copolymers. The copolymer samples were then hydrolyzed to produce poly(vinyl triazole‐co‐vinyl phosphonic acid) copolymers. The composition of the copolymers was determined by elemental analysis. The copolymerization and hydrolysis reactions were verified by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and ion exchange capacity measurements. Thermogravimetry analysis indicates that the copolymers are thermally stable up to 300°C. In order to increase the proton conductivity, the copolymers were doped with H3PO4 at several stoichometric ratios. The proton conductivity increases with triazole and phosphoric acid content. In the absence of humidity, the copolymer electrolyte, P(VTri‐co‐VBPA)1:0.5 X = 2, showed a proton conductivity of 0.005 S/cm at 150°C. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

This research aims to investigate the interaction between phytohemagglutinin-L (PHA-L) and sialic acid, which is abundant on the breast cancer cell (MCF-7) surface and displays monosaccharide characteristics, by experimental and computational methods. Experimentally, CdSe/CdS nanoparticles (QDs) were synthesized; PHA-L was conjugated with QDs and labeled with 125I. Radiolabeling yield was found to be 97 ± 1.2 %. Afterwards, in vitro bioaffinities of radiolabeled PHA-L conjugated QDs have been investigated on MCF-7 cells and it has been observed that the cell incorporation increased with time. The results indicated that 125I labeled QD-PHA-L conjugates represent significant affinity on MCF-7 cells. In the second step of the study, the crystal structure of carbohydrate interaction surface of PHA-L was extracted from the crystal structure of PHA-L. The interactions between this surface and sialic acid were calculated by computational tools. These calculations revealed specific interactions between PHA-L and sialic acid. Semi-empirical methods, PM3 and AM1, were used in these calculations. Significant outcomes have been obtained from the experimental and computational studies and these results demonstrated that PHA-L may be an effective agent for imagining MCF-7 cells. 相似文献

Using integer and noninteger n-Slater type orbitals in single- and double-zeta approximations, the Hartree-Fock-Roothaan calculations were performed for the ground states of first ten cationic members of the isoelectronic series of He atom. All the noninteger parameters and orbital exponents were fully optimized. In the case of noninteger n-Slater type orbitals in double zeta basis sets, the results of calculations obtained are more close to the numerical Hatree-Fock values and the average deviations of our ground state energies do not exceed 2×10-6 hartrees of their numerical results. 相似文献

The preparation and H2S sensing potential of thick‐films of a mixed oxide, Fe2O3? Fe2(MoO4)3, were investigated. A Fourier‐transform infrared (FTIR) study confirmed the existence of sulfur species at the surface after the interaction of H2S gas with the mixed oxide. The starting material, β‐FeMoO4, was synthesized by a solvothermal method, followed by supercritical drying. Heat treatment of this material (oxidation) above 500 °C resulted in the formation of Fe2O3? Fe2(MoO4)3 mixed oxide, where Fe2O3 was a by‐product. An increase in the conductivity of the films in the presence of H2S gas (concentration range 1–20 ppm in air) was observed with the simultaneous formation of water and sulfide ions at 225 °C. An improvement of the H2S sensing potential is obtained, using an intermediate short heat treatment at higher temperature (500 °C) in the beginning of recovery (desorption) phase. This intermediate high temperature, used before every expected exposure to H2S gas, may contribute the formation of an initial surface coverage of O2?. 相似文献
