Various Mie scattering systems, each having a transparent matrix, are studied in the mid-infrared region. Our three theoretical scattering systems correspond to a lossless scatterer, an anomalous dispersive dielectric scatterer and a metal scatterer, each in a non-air usual matrix. The refractive-index effects of the matrix on scattering and extinction efficiencies in the mid-infrared region are found to be quite different in different cases. Although the non-air usual matrix reduces scattering and extinction efficiencies in the first kind of system, it may or may not help scatter and extinguish the mid-infrared radiation in the second, and it has little effect on them in the third. 相似文献

This paper details the study of the aeroelastic effect on modal interaction and dynamic behavior of acoustically excited square metallic panels with fully clamped edges using finite element method. The first-order shear deformation plate theory and von Karman nonlinear strain–displacement relationships are employed to consider the structural geometric nonlinearity caused by large vibration deflections. Piston aerodynamic theory and Gaussian white noise are used to simulate the aerodynamic load and the acoustic load, respectively. Motion equations are derived by the principle of virtual work in the physical coordinates and then transformed into the truncated modal coordinates with reduced orders. Runge–Kutta method is employed to obtain the system response, and the modal interaction mechanism is quantitatively valued by the modal participation distribution. Results show that in the pre-/near-flutter regions, in addition to the dominant fundamental resonant mode, the first twin companion antisymmetric modes can be largely excited by the aeroelastic coupling mechanism; thus, aeroelastic modal participation distribution and the spectrum response can be altered, while the dynamic behavior still exhibits linear random vibrations. In the post-flutter region, the dominant flutter motion can be enriched by highly ordered odd order super-harmonic motion occurs due to 1:1 internal resonances. Correspondingly, the panel dynamic behavior changes from random vibration to highly ordered motions in the fashion of diffused limit-cycle oscillations (LCOs). However, this LCOs motion can be affected by the intensifying acoustic excitation through changing the aeroelastic modal interaction mechanism. Microtubule-associated proteins (MAPs) are important proteins in cells. They can regulate the organization, dynamics and function of microtubules. We measure the binding force between microtubule and a new plant MAP, i.e. AtMAP65-1, by dual-optical tweezers. The force is obtained to be 14.6 ± 3.5 pN from the data statistics and analysis. This force measurement is helpful to understand the function and mechanism of MAPs from the mechanical point of view and lays the groundwork for future measurements of the mechanical properties of other biological macro-molecules. 相似文献

Five InAs/InxGa1-xAs quantum dots in a well (DWELL) with different indium concentration x are grown by solid source molecular beam epitaxy. The high quantum dot density is observed in the InAs/In0.3Ga0.7As DWELL. The photoluminescence (PL) experiments indicate that the ground state peaks of InAs/In0.15 Ga0.85As and InAs/In0.22 Ga0.78As DWELLs shift to 1.31 and 1.33μm, respectively.
