A comprehensive study has been conducted to compare the adsorptions of alkali metals (including Li, Na, and K) on the basal plane of graphite by using molecular orbital theory calculations. All three metal atoms prefer to be adsorbed on the "middle hollow site" above a hexagonal aromatic ring. A novel phenomenon was observed, that is, Na, instead of Li or K, is the weakest among the three types of metal atoms in adsorption. The reason is that the SOMO (single occupied molecular orbital) of the Na atom is exactly at the middle point between the HOMO and the LUMO of the graphite layer in energy level. As a result, the SOMO of Na cannot form a stable interaction with either the HOMO or the LUMO of the graphite. On the other hand, the SOMO of Li and K can form a relatively stable interaction with either the HOMO or the LUMO of graphite. Why Li has a relatively stronger adsorption than K on graphite has also been interpreted on the basis of their molecular-orbital energy levels.  相似文献

Orthogonal signal correction (OSC) was a data preprocessing algorithm. It ensured that the filtered information was irrelevant to concentration data while using it to filter the noise from the original data. This paper extended the OSC application range from two-way data to three-way data. Two drug data sets, Enoxacin, Norfloxacin, Ciprofloxacin and Betamethasone, cortisone acetate, prednisone acetate, showed that the application of the OSC algorithm to three-way HPLC data was feasible and needed further research.  相似文献

The chemical adsorption of H atoms on an (8,0) zigzag boron nitride nanotube is studied using the density functional theory with the supercell method. One to four H atoms per 32 B and 32 N are considered. The results show that H atoms prefer to adsorb on the top sites of adjacent B and N atoms to form an armchair chain along the tube axis. An even-odd oscillation behavior of the adsorption energy of H atoms on the tube is found, and the average adsorption energy of even H atoms is obviously bigger than that of odd H atoms. The results can be understood with the frontier orbital theory. Based on this adsorption behavior, several high-symmetric structures of H adsorbed boron nitride nanotubes with 50% and 100% coverages are studied. The pairs of lines' pattern with 50% coverage has the biggest average adsorption energy per H(2) among the chosen configurations, corresponding to approximately 4 wt % hydrogen storage.  相似文献

The Ml-Mg-Ni-based (Ml = La-rich mixed lanthanide) hydrogen storage alloy Ml0.88Mg0.12Ni3.0-Mn0.10Co0.55Al0.10 was prepared by inductive melting. The micro-structure was analyzed by XRD and SEM. The alloy consists mainly of CaCu5-type phase, Ce2Ni7-type phase and Pr5Co19-type phase. The electrochemical measurements show that the maximum discharge capacity is 386 mAh/g, 16.3% higher than that of the commercial AB5-type alloy (332 mAh/g). At discharge current density of 1 100 mA/g, high rate dischargeability is 62%, while that of the AB5-type alloy is only 45%. Morin was successful as a chemical modifier to improve the reactivity of the nanometer SiO2 surface in terms of selective binding and extraction of heavy metal ions. This new functionalized nanometer SiO2 (nanometer SiO2-morin) was used as an effective sorbent for the solid-phase extraction (SPE) of Cd(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Pb(II), Zn(II) in solutions prior to its determination by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). Experimental conditions for effective adsorption of trace levels of metal ions were optimized with respect to different experimental parameters using static and dynamic procedures in detail. The pH 4.0 was chosen as the optimum pH value for the separation of metal ions on the newly sorbent. Complete elution of the adsorbed metal ions from the nanometer SiO2-morin was carried out using 2.0 mL of 0.5 mol L−1 of HCl. Common coexisting ions did not interfere with the separation and determination at pH 4.0. The maximum static adsorption capacity of the sorbent at optimum conditions was found to be 22.36, 36.8, 40.37, 33.21 and 25.99 mg metal/g SiO2-morin for Cd(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Pb(II) and Zn(II), respectively. The time for 95% sorption for Cu(II) and Ni(II) and 70% sorption for Cd(II), Pb(II) and Zn(II) was less than 2 min. The relative standard deviation (RSD) of the method under optimum conditions was lower than 5.0% (n = 11). The procedure was validated by analyzing the certified reference river sediment material (GBW 08301, China), the results obtained were in good agreement with standard values. The nanometer SiO2-morin was successfully employed in the separation and preconcentration of trace Cd(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Pb(II) and Zn(II) from the biological and natural water samples yielding 75-folds concentration factor.  相似文献

Abstract  A facile procedure for the synthesis of quinoxalines is being reported starting from 3-(2-bromoacetyl)coumarins or 3-(2-bromobutanoyl)coumarins and substituted o-phenylenediamines. The reactions were carried out under catalyst-free and microwave irradiation conditions producing the title compounds in moderate to excellent yields in a short time with easy workup. The structures of all new compounds have been confirmed on the basis of their IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and HRMS data. Graphical Abstract     相似文献

SiO2–Al2O3–Na2O glass coated cubic boron nitride (cBN) abrasive particles were prepared by sol–gel technique. The results indicated that SiO2–Al2O3–Na2O glass was excellent material for oxidation protection of cBN abrasive grains because coefficient of thermal expansion of this glass closely matched that of cBN materials. The single particle compressive strength and impact toughness of this glass coated cBN abrasive particles were significantly increased. For the application of glass coated cBN abrasives to vitrified grinding wheels, it was evident that the glass coating provided high bonding strength between cBN abrasive grains and vitrified bond system.  相似文献

We proposed a strategy to synthesize mesoporous inorganic salt particles using the special properties of ionic liquid (IL) mixtures, and hollow mesoporous LaF3, NdF3, and YF3 particles were synthesized and characterized using different techniques. The size of the mesopores in the salt particles was about 4 nm, and the materials were full of crystal defects. The LaF3, NdF3 and YF3 particles were used as the catalysts for the cyanosilylation reaction of benzaldehyde using trimethylsilyl cyanide, and Ru/LaF3 and Ru/NdF3, in which Ru nanocatalysts were supported on the LaF3 and NdF3 particles with mesopores, were used to catalyze hydrogenations of benzene to cyclohexane and levulinic acid (LA) to γ-valerolactone (GVL). It was discovered that the activities of these catalysts were unprecedentedly high for these reactions. Detailed study showed that both the crystal defects and the mesopores in the salt particles played crucial roles for the extremely high catalytic activity.  相似文献

研究了阴离子分散剂聚丙烯酸钠对质量分数为10%的酸化膨润土分散体系流变性的影响. 结果表明, 添加0.4%分散剂的分散体系的剪切应力、表观黏度和屈服应力最低. 其它体系流体均表现为从假塑型到胀流型流体的转变, 而含0.4%分散剂的体系始终表现为胀流型流体. 采用Herschel-Bulkley模型对各体系的流变曲线进行了拟合, 得到较好的拟合曲线, 同时探讨了酸化膨润土分散体系的流变机理.  相似文献

Headspace SPME was applied to investigation of tomato plant defence response to tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) by determination of compounds emitted from tomato plants at the extraction conditions of 25 °C and 15 min. It was found that TMV-inoculated tomato plant released large amount of methyl salicylate (MeSA) as response to TMV and MeSA concentration changed dramatically with time after inoculation. Gaseous MeSA as a signaling compound could induce in surrounding tomato plants to produce salicylic acid (SA) and synthesize and release MeSA. These results show that MeSA might be an airborne plant-signalling molecule in tomato plant response to TMV. The present method provided low detection limit of 2.0 ng L–1 and needed little sample preparation time (15 min), so the method makes it easy to find the critical times of tomato plant response to TMV by fast determination of MeSA released from tomato plant.  相似文献
