Thermally induced changes in surface wettability, dewetting behavior, and proton transport of “self‐assembled” nanothin Nafion® films (4–300 nm) on SiO2 substrate is reported. Thermal annealing induces switching of the surface wettability of 55 nm and thinner films from hydrophilic to super‐hydrophobic. Thickness dependence of this behavior is observed with higher annealing temperature required for lower thickness films, indicating highly restrictive mobility of Nafion® ionomer as film thickness decreases. Dewetting is only observed for 4‐nm thin film. Significant suppression in proton conductivity upon thermal annealing was noted. Similarly, two other bulk properties, water uptake and swelling, were found to decrease upon annealing. Photoinduced intramolecular electron-transfer events of the newly synthesized subphthalocyanine-triphenylamine-fullerene triad (SubPc-TPA-C60) and subphthalocyanine-triphenylamine-bisfullerene tetrad (SubPc-TPA-(C(60))(2)) were studied. The geometric and electronic structures of the triad were probed by ab initio B3LYP/3-21G method, which predicts SubPc-TPA(*+)-C(60)(*-) as a stable charge-separated state. The photoinduced events via the excited singlet state of SubPc were monitored by time-resolved emission measurements as well as transient absorption techniques. Efficient charge-separations via the excited states of SubPc were observed with the rates of approximately 10(10) s(-)1. Compared with the SubPc-TPA dyad, a long-lived charge-separated state was observed for the SubPc-TPA-C(60) triad with the lifetime of the radical ion pairs (tau(RIP)) of 670 ns in benzonitrile. Interestingly, further charge stabilization was achieved in the charge-separated state of SubPc-TPA-(C(60))(2), in which the tau(RIP) was found to be 1050 ns in benzonitrile. 相似文献

The current study was undertaken to validate the performance for the determination of both TBA and beta-trenbolone (beta-TB) residues in porcine muscle at concentrations required to monitor compliance with the maximum residue limit (MRL). The method involves a one phase liquid-liquid extraction, cleanup with low-temperature fat precipitation, separation of the respective compounds by HPLC on a Capcell pak C(18) column, use of a methanol-water isocratic system as an eluent, and measurement by UV absorbance detection at 340 nm. Both compounds were confirmed using LC-MS/MS with electrospray interface (ESI) and a triple quadrupole (QqQ) analyzer. The method was found to be precise and accurate, with a linearity range of 1-10 microg/kg (r(2) >0.973). The intra- and interday precision showed good reproducibility with RSDs < or =13.25%. The LODs were 0.12 and 0.22 microg/kg, and the LOQs were 0.37 and 0.66 microg/kg, for TBA and beta-TB, respectively. The applicability of the method was demonstrated by analyzing real samples collected from major cities in the Republic of Korea. No residues of the selected compounds were detected in any of the samples. The advantages of our method are that it is: selective, sensitive, requires a short time for analysis (13 min), and performs simple sample extraction and clean-up procedure with low-temperature fat precipitation as compared to the previously published methods. 相似文献

Novel blue emitters, oligo-MCPPs (tri-MCPP, tetra-MCPP, and penta-MCPP), have been synthesized and characterized. The introduction of cyclopenta[def]phenanthrene (CPP) units into the structure of oligo-MCPPs gave LEDs with high efficiency and pure blue emission. UV-visible absorption spectra of the thin films of these compounds appear at 333-354 nm, and their maximum PL emission at 416-447 nm. Multilayer organic EL devices with oligo-MCPPs as an emitting layer showed the turn-on voltage of about 4.8 V, the maximum brightness of 1076 cd/m2 (at 8.2 V), the maximum luminescence efficiency of 0.81 cd/A, and the CIE coordinates of (0.17, 0.14) with blue color. 相似文献

This study was undertaken to investigate whether an additional column clean-up procedure can affect the accuracy of an analytical method developed for the determination of imidacloprid residues in Chinese cabbage. Thereafter, the residue levels and the degradation rates of imidacloprid were investigated in experimental Chinese cabbage plots after treatment with two different commercial formulations: emulsifiable concentrate (EC) and wettable powder (WP). The analyte was determined using high-performance liquid chromatography-ultraviolet detection (HPLC-UVD) and confirmed by high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS) in the select ion-monitoring mode. The mean recoveries ranged from 75.34 to 98.00% and 96.95 to 100.97%, with relative standard deviations of 0.86-4.14 and 1.22-3.52%, in samples treated with and without additional column clean-up procedures, respectively. The minimum detectable amount of imidacloprid was 4 ng, while the limits of detection and quantitation were 0.2 and 0.5 ppm, respectively. The degradation of pesticide was monitored throughout a period of 13 days under greenhouse conditions. Although the behaviors of the EC and WP formulations appear to be similar, the absolute residue levels obtained with EC and WP treatments differed slightly. When imidacloprid formulations were applied (as foliar treatments) according to the recommended rate, the final residues (13 days post-treatment) in Chinese cabbage were much lower than the maximum residue limit (MRL = 3.5 ppm) established by the Korean Food and Drug Administration. Taken together, our study suggests that the analysis of imidacloprid can be performed without an additional column clean-up procedure, and the decline curve and the residue levels in Chinese cabbage could change if the same active ingredient is used in different formulations. 相似文献

Methane adsorptions on various synthesized and commercial activated carbons were assessed in a volumetric apparatus for the design of an efficient adsorbed natural gas storage system. Based on the methane adsorption equilibrium results from different carbon based materials, a monolith was also produced from RP-20. Dynamic studies were also performed for the prepared monolith and the pelletized commercial Norit-B4 activated carbon. The temperature variation in RP-20 monolith was analyzed and compared with those of Norit-B4 and a blank test, which consisted of a run without a sample. The temperature variation in RP-20 monolith was quite high compared to that observed with Norit-B4 and the blank test because of a higher isosteric heat of adsorption and a high packing density. 相似文献

Solvato-PL switching and shrinking-and-opening process: we present two CuI coordination polymers of calix[4]-bis-monothiacrown (L) obtained in the absence (1) and presence (2) of KI. The structures show not only very unusual CuI-based network arrangements but also unique reversible photolunimescence switching behavior induced by removal of coordinated solvent. Furthermore, upon inclusion of K+ ions the crown ring shrinks leading to "opening" of opposite aromatic rings in the host calixarene unit, rare behavior for this class of compound. 相似文献

The temperature-dependent assembly of two 3-D CuI coordination polymers containing calix[4]-bis-thiacrown with different networking motifs are reported. Upon removal of the coordinated solvent molecules the initial solvent-coordinated polymer undergoes a unique single-crystal-to-single-crystal transformation to the desolvated polymer. Structural characteristics observed in the solvent-coordinated and the desolvated polymers also reveal related solvato-photolunimescence "off-on" behavior. 相似文献
