Core-shell Au-Pt nanoparticles were synthesized by using a seed growth method and characterized by transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and UV-vis spectroscopy. Au(core)-Pt(shell)/GC electrodes were prepared by drop-coating the nanoparticles on clean glassy carbon (GC) surfaces, and their electrochemical behavior in 0.5 M H2SO4 revealed that coating of the Au core by the Pt shell is complete. The electrooxidation of carbon monoxide and methanol on the Au(core)-Pt(shell)/GC was also examined, and the results are similar to those obtained on a bulk Pt electrode. High quality surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectra of both adsorbed CO and thiocyanate were observed on the Au(core)-Pt(shell)/GC electrodes. The potential-dependent SERS features resemble those obtained on electrochemically roughened bulk Pt or Pt thin films deposited on roughened Au electrodes. For thiocyanate, the C-N stretching frequency increases with the applied potential, yielding two distinctly different dnu(CN)/dE. From -0.8 to -0.2 V, the dnu(CN)/dE is ca. 50 cm(-1)/V, whereas it is 90 cm(-1)/V above 0 V. The bandwidth along with the band intensity increases sharply above 0 V. At the low-frequency region, Pt-NCS stretching mode at 350 cm(-1) was observed at the potentials from -0.8 to 0 V, whereas the Pt-SCN mode at 280 cm(-1) was largely absent until around 0 V and became dominant at more positive potentials. These potential-dependent spectral transitions were attributed to the adsorption orientation switch from N-bound dominant at the negative potential region to S-bound at more positive potentials. The origin of the SERS activity of the particles is briefly discussed. The study demonstrates a new method of obtaining high quality SERS on Pt-group transition metals, with the possibility of tuning SERS activity by varying the core size and the shell thickness. 相似文献
Infrared (1.2-1.6 microm) luminescence in a ytterbium aluminium garnet (YbAG) crystal, doped with Cr (0.05at.%) ions, was investigated under CW laser diode pumping (lambda=940 nm). The Cr4+ emission band was observed with its peak at 1.34 microm and measured to be about 1.3 times with respect to Yb3+ IR luminescence (lambda=1.03 microm). We demonstrate that for the excitation wavelength of 940 nm Yb3+ ions act as sensitizers of the 3B2(3T2)-3B1(3A2) emission of Cr4+ ions. This crystal is promising as a high-efficient system for tunable laser (1.2-1.6 microm) output. 相似文献
Triangular halogen trimers (RX)3, where X = Br, I and R represents H, H3C, H2FC, HF2C, F3C, CH2=CH, CH[triple bond]C, and Ph, have been investigated using the density functional theory in the Perdew, Burke, and Ernzerhof method. We report herein the optimized geometries of the stable structures, their vibrational frequencies, and binding energies with the two- and three-body terms. All trimer structures possess a cyclic array of halogen atoms in the type II approach by virtue of the nonspherical atomic charge distribution around the halogens. The Br...Br interactions in trimers are very weak, whereas the I...I interactions in trimers are relatively stronger. While all bromine trimers and most of iodine trimers are predicted to be noncooperative, three of iodine trimers show weak cooperativity. The analysis of vibration modes reveals that all halogen trimers exhibit no especially remarkable frequency shifts. It is also shown that the electrostatic contribution plays a major role in the halogen...halogen interactions in halogen trimers. In contrast to bromine trimers, the relative contribution of charge-transfer component to the halogen...halogen interactions becomes more important for iodine trimers. 相似文献
High-quality CdSxSe1-x nanobelts of variable composition (0 = x = 1) were fabricated by a simple one-step thermal evaporation route. Photoluminescence measurements showed that all the CdSxSe1-x nanobelts have a single near-bandedge emission band, and their spectral maximum positions can be tuned from approximately 508 nm (for pure CdS) to approximately 705 nm (for pure CdSe). These kinds of nanobelts may have potential applications in adjustable nano/micro photoelectric devices in the visible region. 相似文献
[structure: see text] Total synthesis of a cyclic depsipeptide with proposed structure of palau'amide is achieved, which features a stereoselective elaboration of its 5,7-dihydroxy-2,6-dimethyldodec-2-en-11-ynoic acid unit. The synthetic compound has potent cytotoxicity against three tumor cell lines but different rotation and NMR data compared to those reported for palau'amide, which implies that its conformation is close to that of palau'amide but that some stereochemistry in palau'amide was misassigned. 相似文献
A chemically bonded cellulose tris(3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamate) chiral stationary phase (CSP) was prepared by a radical polymerization reaction. The prepared CSP was packed into fused-silica capillaries with inner diameter of 75 microm to perform enantiomer separations in CEC. The electrochromatographic behavior of the CSP was investigated. On the prepared CSP, high EOF could be generated under acidic mobile phases, which represented an advantage for the separation of acidic enantiomers. Several neutral, acidic, and basic enantiomers were resolved on the prepared CSP under aqueous mobile phases. The column efficiencies were between 20,000 and 100,000 plates/m, which were much higher than those of HPLC. In addition, it was observed that the separation of some enantiomers benefited from the adoption of THF as mobile phase modifier. 相似文献
The J-V characteristics of AltGa1 tN/GaN high electron mobility transistors(HEMTs) are investigated and simulated using the self-consistent solution of the Schro dinger and Poisson equations for a two-dimensional electron gas(2DEG) in a triangular potential well with the Al mole fraction t = 0.3 as an example.Using a simple analytical model,the electronic drift velocity in a 2DEG channel is obtained.It is found that the current density through the 2DEG channel is on the order of 10^13 A/m^2 within a very narrow region(about 5 nm).For a current density of 7 × 10^13 A/m62 passing through the 2DEG channel with a 2DEG density of above 1.2 × 10^17 m^-2 under a drain voltage Vds = 1.5 V at room temperature,the barrier thickness Lb should be more than 10 nm and the gate bias must be higher than 2 V. 相似文献
In rock grouting, idealized 2D-radial laminar flow of yield stress fluids (YSF) is a fundamental flow configuration that is used for cement grout spread estimation. A limited amount of works have presented analytical and numerical solutions on the radial velocity profiles between parallel disks. However, to the best of our knowledge, there has been no experimental work that has presented measured velocity profiles for this geometry. In this paper, we present velocity profiles of Carbopol (a simple YSF), measured by pulsed ultrasound velocimetry within a radial flow model. We describe the design of the physical model and then present the measured velocity profiles while highlighting the plug-flow region and slip effects observed for three different apertures and volumetric flow rates. Although the measured velocity profiles exhibited wall slip, there was a reasonably good agreement with the analytical solution. We then discuss the major implications of our work on radial flow.
