Propagation of thickness-twist waves in a multi-sectioned piezoelectric plate of 6 mm crystals

We study thickness-twist vibrations and waves in an unbounded, multi-sectioned piezoelectric plate of crystals with 6 mm symmetry or polarized ceramics. An exact solution from the three-dimensional equations of piezoelectricity is obtained. Basic vibration and wave propagation characteristics are calculated based on the solution. The results are useful in the understanding and design of plate resonators, filters and acoustic wave sensors of ZnO, AlN and polarized ceramics.     

An algorithm for decomposing a polynomial system into normal ascending sets

We present an algorithm to decompose a polynomial system into a finite set of normal ascending sets such that the set of the zeros of the polynomial system is the union of the sets of the regular zeros of the normal ascending sets.If the polynomial system is zero dimensional,the set of the zeros of the polynomials is the union of the sets of the zeros of the normal ascending sets.     

In situ observation of NaBi(WO4)2 dendrite growth and the study on microstructure of solidification

The dendrite growth process of transparent NaBi(WO₄)₂ with small prandtl and high melting point was studied by using the in-situ observation system. According to the dynamic images and detailed information, there are two kinds of restriction effect on the dendrite growth, the competition between arms and branches and the convection in the melt. The dendrite growth rate was time dependent, and the rate of arm growth reached the maximum 5.8 mm/s in the diffusive-advective region and rapidly decreased in the diffusive-convective region. The growth rate of branch had the same change trends as the arm’s. Based on the EPMA-EDS data of solidification structure of quenched NaBi(WO₄)₂ melt, it was found that there were component differences from stoichiometric concentration in the melt near the interface during the growth process. 纳米WO3的制备及其光解水析氧性能研究

用溶胶凝胶法,灼烧法合成了纳米级WO3,采用X-射线衍射、紫外可见漫反射光谱对WO3进行表征.在Fe3 为电子受体、溶液酸度pH为2.0情况下,研究了纳米级WO3在365nm紫外辐射下光解水析氧的光催化活性,并讨论了不同方法制备的催化剂活性差异的原因.结果表明,结晶程度越高、尺寸越小、比表面积越大的纳米级WO3具有更高的光分解水析氧活性,电子受体的浓度、溶液的酸度对析氧活性有明显的影响.     

Graphitic nanofillers in PMMA nanocomposites—An investigation of particle size and dispersion and their influence on nanocomposite properties

Mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties of graphite/PMMA composites have been evaluated as functions of particle size and dispersion of the graphitic nanofiller components via the use of three different graphitic nanofillers: “as received graphite” (ARG), “expanded graphite,” (EG) and “graphite nanoplatelets” (GNPs) EG, a graphitic materials with much lower density than ARG, was prepared from ARG flakes via an acid intercalation and thermal expansion. Subsequent sonication of EG in a liquid yielded GNPs as thin stacks of graphitic platelets with thicknesses of ～10 nm. Solution‐based processing was used to prepare PMMA composites with these three fillers. Dynamic mechanical analysis, thermal analysis, and electrical impedance measurements were carried out on the resulting composites, demonstrating that reduced particle size, high surface area, and increased surface roughness can significantly alter the graphite/polymer interface and enhance the mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties of the polymer matrix. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. La掺杂浓度对PLZT薄膜红外光学性质的影响

采用溶胶-凝胶法在Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si衬底上制备了不同La掺杂浓度PLZT(x/40/60)薄膜- x射线衍射分析表明制备的PLZT(x/40/60)薄膜是具有单一钙钛矿结构的多晶薄膜- 通过红外椭圆偏振光谱仪测量了波长为2-5—12-6μm范围内PLZT薄膜的椭偏光谱，采用经典色 散模型拟合获得PLZT薄膜的红外光学常数，同时也拟合获得PLZT薄膜的厚度- 随着La掺杂浓 度的增大，折射率逐渐减小- 而消光系数除PLZT(4/40/60)薄膜外，呈现逐渐增大的趋势- 分析表明这些差异主要与PLZ 关键词： PLZT薄膜 红外光学性质 红外椭圆偏振光谱     

Some results on controllability of a nonlinear degenerate parabolic system by bilinear control

In this paper, we discuss the controllability of a nonlinear degenerate parabolic system with bilinear control. Based on the shrinking property of the solutions, we prove that the system is not globally approximately controllable. Furthermore, we give an approximate null controllability result. We also prove that the system is not globally exactly null controllable by a comparison principle.     

Construct non-graded bi-Frobenius algebras via quivers

Using the quiver technique we construct a class of non-graded bi-Frobenius algebras. We also classify a class of graded bi-Frobenius algebras via certain equations of structure coefficients.     

Small-world and the growing properties of the Chinese railway network

By using the tools of statistical physics and recent investigations of the scaling properties of different complex networks, the structural and evolving properties of the Chinese railway network (CRN) is studied. It has been verified that the CRN has the same small-world properties of the Indian railway network (IRN). According to the class of small-world networks, we believe the CRN is a single scale. In addition, a novel result is obtained. Measurements on the CRN indicate that the rate at which nodes acquire links depends on the node’s degree and follows a power law.
