Temperature dependence of photoluminescence (PL) spectra of an electrostatically prepared modulation-doped quantum dot array is investigated. We report a strong temperature dependence of the enhanced PL near the Fermi energy between 0.4 and 4.2 K under a negative bias condition, where an interconnected quantum dot array is formed. This strong temperature dependence suggests that the Fermi-surface-mediated many-body interaction between a photo-created hole and the electron-gas plays an important role in the observed enhanced PL near the Fermi energy. 相似文献

A two-stage process with temperature-shift has been developed to enhance the anthocyanin yield in suspension cultures of strawberry cells. The effect of the temperature-shift interval and the shift-time point was investigated for the optimization of this strategy. In this process, strawberry cells were grown at 30℃ (the optimum temperature for cell growth) for a certain period as the first stage, with the temperature shifted to a lower temperature for the second stage. In response to the temperature shift-down, anthoeyanin synthesis was stimulated and a higher content could be achieved than that at both boundary temperatures but cell growth was suppressed. When the lower boundary temperature was deereased, cell growth was lowered and a delayed, sustained maximum anthocyanin content was achieved. Anthocyanin synthesis was strongly influeneed by the shift-time point but cell growth was not. The apparent diffusion coefficients of tris(2,2'-bipyridyl)ruthenium ([Ru(bpy(3))](2+)) are estimated in silica-nanochannels which are assembled inside columnar alumina pores in an anodic alumina membrane, and are modified with alkylsilanes such as trimethylchlorosilane (C1), butyldimethylchlorosilane (C4), and dodecyldimethylchlorosilane (C12). The estimation is performed by observing the lag-time, which is defined as the time required for [Ru(bpy)(3)](2+) to diffuse through alkylsilane-modified silica-nanochannels in the alumina membrane. When ethanol is used as a solvent, the apparent diffusion coefficients of [Ru(bpy)(3)](2+) are estimated as 2.1 x 10(-10) and 3.2 x 10(-10) cm(2) s(-1) in the C1- and C4-modified silica-nanochannels, respectively. These values are about 10(4) times smaller than that obtained in bulk ethanol. Based on the experimental results on the solvent dependency of the lag-time, the hydrogen-bonding interaction between ethanol molecules is considered to be stronger in the C1- and C4-modified silica-nanochannels than in bulk ethanol, and the hydrogen-bonding interaction plays a critical role for the slow diffusivity in those nanochannels. In contrast, the apparent diffusion coefficient in the C12-modified silica-nanochannel is at least two orders of magnitude larger than those in the C1- and C4-modified silica-nanochannels. This relatively fast diffusion is most likely explained by the presence of a long alkyl chain of C12, which reduces a hindrance effect that is originates in the hydrogen-bonding interaction. 相似文献

Chiral diaminophosphines 4 were prepared from (S)-prolinol-derived aminophosphine oxide 5 by bromination with ring expansion followed by amination with ring contraction and reduction, using trichlorosilane. A thermally reversible crystal transition was found for γ-helical poly(γ-n-alkyl L -glutamate)s (alkyl = ethyl, propyl, butyl, and amyl). The transition temperature is higher than that of the side-chain mechanical dispersion, and decreases from 115 to ?5°C, as the alkyl groups become longer. The transition in poly(γ-n-propyl L -glutamate) is clearly first order. The structures were analyzed by x-ray diffraction at various temperatures. It is noteworthy that the pseudohexagonal form observed below the transition temperature is less ordered than the hexagonal form at higher temperatures. Magnetic phase diagrams for antiferroquadrupole (AFQ) phase II and antiferromagnetic (AFM) phase III in Ce0.50La0.50B6 with a Gamma(8) ground state have been investigated by ultrasonic measurements. The hybrid magnet (Gama) in the National Institute for Materials Science was employed for high-field measurements up to 30 T and a 3He-4He dilution refrigerator was used for low-temperature experiments down to 20 mK. The phase boundary from paramagnetic phase I to AFQ phase II under [001] magnetic fields closes at H(I-II) approximately 29 T, while the boundary is still open under fields along the [110] and [111] directions even up to 30 T. This anisotropic character of phase II in fields is consistent with the theoretical calculation based on the O(xy)-type AFQ ordering. We also found that AFM phase III reduces considerably in fields turning from the [001] to [110] and [111] directions. 相似文献
