Molecular modeling approaches are used in a versatile way to investigate the properties of diverse organic and inorganic structures such as proteins, biomolecules, nanomaterials, functionalized nanoparticles, and membranes. However, more detailed studies are needed to understand the molecular nature of interactions established in gelatin biofilms impregnated with bioactive compounds. Because of this, we used computational methods to evaluate how the major compounds of Piper divaricatum essential oil can interact with the gelatin biofilm structure. For this, we used as inspiration the paper published, where various properties of the essential oil impregnated gelatin biofilm P. divaricatum are reported. After our computer simulations, we related our molecular observations to biofilm’s structural and mechanical properties. Our results suggest that the major compounds of the essential oil were able to interrupt intermolecular interactions between the chains of the biofilm matrix. However, the compounds also established interactions with the amino acid residues of these chains. Our molecular analyses also explain changes in the structural and mechanical properties of the essential oil-impregnated biofilm. These results can support the planning of functional packaging impregnated with bioactive compounds that can protect food against microorganisms harmful to human health. 相似文献

The synthesis, characterization, and thermal decomposition of the [Ni(SCN)2(H+SCN)2(4-mepy)2] compound with an octahedral structure in polymeric chain were reported, in which SCN groups form bridges among Ni(II) ions. The compound decomposes in water resulting in a pH<4 solution. The FT-IR spectrum presented doublet bands at 2117; 2128 cm−1, 788; 773 cm−1 assigned to ν(C---N) and ν(C---S) stretching modes, respectively, and δ(SCN) deformation modes at 468; 476 cm−1. The Raman spectrum of the compound presented the ν(C---N) stretching as a strong doublet at 2122; 2128 cm−1, ν(C---S) at 783; 770 cm−1, and δ(SCN) at 468; 477 cm−1. No significant changes were observed in the 4-mepy ligand bands compared with the vibrational frequencies of the pure compound or the compound in aqueous solution 0.2 mol l−1. The crystal UV–vis reflectance spectrum presented two bands centered in 626 and 424 nm tentatively assigned to the d→d type transitions, 3A2g→3T1g and 3A2g→3T1g, for a symmetry close to Oh. The TG curve showed a mass loss between 120 and 200 °C assigned to the loss of the two 4-mepy molecules; from 200 to 265 °C, the loss of the two H+SCN groups; and from 265 to 450 °C, the loss of the two SCN groups that formed the bridges among the nickel atoms. Based on these mass loss data, a mechanism of thermal decomposition for the compound was proposed. 相似文献

The adduct ions of two tetramolecular G‐quadruplexes formed from the d(TGGGGT) and d(TTGGGGGT) single strands with a group of cationic porphyrins, with different charges and substituents, and one neutral porphyrin, were investigated by ESI‐MS and ESI‐MS/MS in the negative ion mode. Formation of [Q + nNH4++Pp+‐(z + n + p)H+]z‐ adduct ions (where Q = quadruplex, n = number of quartets minus 1, P = porphyrin and p+ =0,1,2,3,4) indicates that the porphyrins are bound outside the quadruplexes providing an additional stabilization to those structures. The fragmentation pathways of the [Q + nNH4++Pp+‐(z + n + p)H+]z‐ adduct ions depend on the number of positive charges (p+) of the porphyrins and on the overall complex charge (z‐), but do not show a significant dependence on the type of the substituent groups in the porphyrins. Formation of the ‘unfilled’ ions [Q + Pp+‐(z + p)H+]z‐ predominates for porphyrins with a higher number of positive charges. Strand separation with the formation of [T + Pp+‐(z‐2 + p)H+](z‐2)‐ and (SS‐2H+)2‐ ions, where T = [d(TG4T)]3 and [d(T2G5T)]3 and SS = d(TG4T) and d(T2G5T) is only observed for the complexes with a higher overall negative charge. Porphyrin loss with the formation of [Q + nNH4+‐(z + n)H+]z‐ ions occurs predominantly for the neutral and monocharged porphyrins. The predominant formation of the ‘unfilled’ ions, [Q + Pp+‐(z + n)H+]z‐, for porphyrins with a higher number of charges shows that these porphyrins can prevent strand separation and preserve, at least partially, the quadruplex structure. Two new isomeric aminomethyl corrole derivatives of [5,10,15‐tris(pentafluorophenyl)corrolato]gallium(III) were synthesized with pyridine (py) molecules as axial ligands. When investigated by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, in the positive and the negative ion modes, these compounds showed an unusual gas‐phase behavior that could be used for their differentiation. In the positive ion mode, the differentiation was achieved through the formation of diagnostic fragment ions formed from [M‐py + H]+ precursors, by (CH3)2NH and HF losses. An unusual addition of water to the main fragment ions provides an alternative route for isomer identification. Semi‐empirical calculations were performed to elucidate the structures and stabilities of the main ionic species formed in the positive ion mode. In the negative ion mode isomer discrimination is accomplished via the fragmentation of the methoxide adduct ions [M‐py + CH3O]‐ through (CH3)2 N. and HF losses. AbstractHyptis pectinata is a herb popularly used in Brazil for the treatment of inflammations, pain, bacterial infections and cancer. In the present study, inflorescences (MPIn), leaves (MPL), branches (MPB), root (MPR) extracts and three compounds isolated from MPIn were assayed against breast tumor cell lines. The structures of the three compounds (pectinolide J, hyptolide and pectinolide E) were determined by means of spectroscopic analysis. Pectinolide J was isolated for the first time. The MPIn, MPL and MPR exhibited specific antiproliferative activity on tumor cell lines when compared to normal cell lines with IC50 of 52.01?±?0.64, 45.91?±?0.02?μg/mL and 82.84?±?0.03?μg/mL, respectively. Although the isolated substances did not present good antiproliferative activity, when the three were associated, a greater biological effect was observed, suggesting a synergistic effect. Hyptolide (5.6?±?0.4?μg/mL) showed IC50 sufficiently low to be considered as a drug prototype. 相似文献

A new chelating sorbent has been developed using Amberlite XAD-2 resin anchored with pyrocatechol through –N=C– group. This sorbent, characterised by elemental analysis and infrared (IR) spectra, was used as packing for the minicolumn in an on-line system preconcentration system for cadmium, cobalt, copper and nickel determination. Metal ions were sorbed in the minicolumn, from which it could be eluted directly to the nebulizer–burner system of the flame atomic absorption spectrometer (FAAS). Elution of all metals from minicolumn can be made with 0.50 mol L− 1 HCl or HNO3. The enrichment factors obtained were 16 (Cd), 24 (Co), 15 (Cu) and 19 (Ni), for 60 s preconcentration time, and 39 (Cd), 69 (Co), 36 (Cu) and 41 (Ni), if used 180 s preconcentration time. Under the optimum conditions, the proposed procedure allowed the determination of cadmium, cobalt, copper and nickel with detection limits of 0.31, 0.32, 0.39 and 1.64 μg L− 1, respectively, when used preconcentration periods of 180 s. The accuracy of the developed procedure was sufficient and evaluated by the analysis of the certified reference materials NIST 1515 apple leaves and NIST 1570a spinach leaves. Microwave assisted micellar extraction (MAME) coupled with solid phase microextraction (SPME) and HPLC-UV determination have been used for the determination of five organochlorine pesticides from agricultural soil samples. A non-ionic surfactant, Polyoxyethlylene 10 Lauryl Ether was used, and the different variables for the optimization of MAME and SPME procedures were studied. This method was applied successfully to the determination of these pesticides in several kinds of agricultural soil samples with different characteristics. Most of the compounds studied can be recovered in good yields with R.S.D. lower than 9% and detection limit ranged between 56-96 ng g−1 for the pesticides studied. 相似文献

A simple and effective extraction method based on matrix solid-phase dispersion (MSPD) was developed to determine bifenthrin,
buprofezin, tetradifon, and vinclozolin in propolis using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry in selected ion monitoring
mode (GC–MS, SIM). Different method conditions were evaluated, for example type of solid phase (C18, alumina, silica, and Florisil), the amount of solid phase and eluent (n-hexane, dichloromethane, dichloromethane–n-hexane (8:2 and 1:1, v/v) and dichloromethane–ethyl acetate (9:1, 8:2 and 7:3, v/v)). The best results were obtained using 0.5 g propolis, 1.0 g silica as dispersant sorbent, 1.0 g Florisil as clean-up sorbent,
and dichloromethane–ethyl acetate (9:1, v/v) as eluting solvent. The method was validated by analysis of propolis samples fortified at different concentration levels
(0.25 to 1.0 mg kg−1). Average recoveries (four replicates) ranged from 67% to 175% with relative standard deviation between 5.6% and 12.1%. Detection
