In this paper the technology of producing solid solutions of Csx(NH4)1?xLiSO4 using the slow evaporation method is presented. Appropriate conditions were chosen to grow large samples. The ammonium ion content in the solid solutions was determined using the Kjeldahl method. It was found that the real ammonium ion concentration is twice lower than the one applied in the initial substances. At room temperature, the base crystal, lithium cesium sulfate (CsLiSO4), is paraelastic, whereas lithium ammonium sulfate (NH4LiSO4) is ferroelectric. It is expected that as a result of substituting Cs+ ions with $ N{\text{H}}_{4}^{ + } $ N H 4 + ions, instead of the Cs+ ions, the modification of the ferroic properties of solid solutions of Csx(NH4)1?xLiSO4 will take place. Tests conducted with the use of the differential scanning calorimetry method (DSC) allowed the detection of the ferroelastic phase transition which takes place in these compounds. A gradual increase of temperature transition was observed from 202 K for the pure CsLiSO4 to 203.8 K for Cs0.90(NH4)0.10LiSO4 and 230.1 K for Cs0.85(NH4)0.15LiSO4 with the increase of $ N{\text{H}}_{4}^{ + } $ N H 4 + ions concentration. Using polarized light microscopy, a ferroelastic domain structure was detected in the examined solid solutions, which appeared below the structural phase transition temperature.  相似文献

Coccidiostats are a group of pharmacologically active substances widely used in veterinary practice. Their residues are detected relatively often in poultry tissues and egg samples analyzed as part of official residue control programs in the European Union. Therefore, accuracy of quantitative results needs to be monitored through internal and external quality control studies. In addition, the use of materials containing incurred residues would be welcome to for ongoing monitoring of the method accuracy. Unfortunately, in the field of veterinary drug residues, certified reference materials are often unavailable. Therefore, in-house quality control material of incurred lyophilized eggs containing narasin and nicarbazin has been produced and characterized. The eggs originated from hens receiving feed with coccidiostat premix Maxiban were mixed to obtain presumed concentrations of residues and freeze-dried. Homogeneity of the material was verified by the duplicate analysis of ten random samples, and the results proved that the between samples variation was negligible in comparison with the method repeatability. No measurable loss of analytes was observed within 1 year; the slope of the regression line of the results of stability measurements was not significantly different from zero. The assigned values were expressed as medians of the results of inter-laboratory comparison performed in four different European laboratories; the uncertainty of the material was estimated, taken into consideration all above tests, resulting in (14.4 ± 2.53) µg/kg for nicarbazin and (7.91 ± 1.52) µg/kg for narasin.  相似文献

Elements that enter the aquatic environment may pose a health risk to wildlife and humans. The aims of this study were: to determine how the introduction of activated carbon for a water purification system will improve the quality of the water produced; and to investigate the sorption of metals on activated carbons, including determination of the accumulation, as well as changes in concentrations of elements in carbons. The tests were carried out on three types of activated carbons with different granular structure. All samples were collected from Water Treatment Plant Goczalkowice, Poland. Concentrations of elements were measured using an optical emission spectrometer with inductively coupled plasma. The experiment showed that metals accumulating in the activated carbons during the operation included: Ca, Mn, Zn, and Cu. In each of the three types of carbons, it can distinguish such elements as Ba, Al, Cr, Ni, Ti, which are characterized by irregular accumulation during the operation of the filter. The introduction of carbon sorbent for water treatment largely contributed to improvement in the quality of raw material supplied to customers, mainly with regard to taste and smell, as well as to reduction of basic parameters: color, absorbance in the UV range and oxidability.   相似文献

The healthy prostate contains the highest concentration of mobile zinc in the body. As this level decreases dramatically during the initial development of prostate cancer, in vivo detection of prostate zinc content may be applied for diagnosis of prostate cancer. Using 19F ion chemical exchange saturation transfer magnetic resonance imaging (iCEST MRI) and TF‐BAPTA as a fluorinated Zn‐binding probe with micromolar sensitivity, we show that iCEST MRI is able to differentiate between normal and malignant prostate cells with a 10‐fold difference in contrast following glucose‐stimulated zinc secretion in vitro. The iCEST signal decreased in normal prostate cells upon downregulation of the ZIP1 zinc transporter. In vivo, using an orthotopic prostate cancer mouse model and a transgenic adenocarcinoma of the mouse prostate (TRAMP) model, a gradual decrease of >300 % in iCEST contrast following the transition of normal prostate epithelial cells to cancer cells was detected.  相似文献

The liquid crystalline (LC) properties of two supercoiled plasmid DNA samples, pBSK (2958 bp) and pGEM (3000 bp), have been studied using polarised light microscopy (PLM), circular dichroism (CD) and UV–Vis spectroscopy. The influence of methods of isolation on plasmid LC behaviour is described, and using PLM we have demonstrated the spontaneous formation of cholesteric fingerprint-like textures. Preliminary studies of LC phase transitions in pGEM show the irreversibility of LC phase formation, as a consequence of changes in the tertiary structure of supercoiled plasmids. Using UV–Vis spectroscopy a hyperchromic effect was observed with increasing temperature. The CD spectra clearly showed structural changes, and probably mismatching of DNA bases, during cooling. Finally, we have observed an irreversible phase transition in plasmid DNA which is very different from that previously reported in linear DNA.  相似文献

Racemic phosphocarnitine 3 has been synthesized starting from diethyl 3-chloro-2-oxopropanephosphonate 4 in three steps involving reduction of 4 to the corresponding 2-hydroxyphosphonate 5, conversion of the latter to phosphonic acid 6, and final reaction with trimethylamine, affording the trimethylammonium salt of 3. Baker's yeast reduction of 4 and enzymatic kinetic resolution of (+/-)-5 afforded the enantiomerically pure precursors of phosphocarnitine, (R)-(+)-5 and (S)-(-)-5, which were converted to (S)-(-)- and (R)-(+)-phosphocarnitine 3, respectively.  相似文献

The paper presents a new method for the generation of acetaldehyde in the amounts that allow to calibrate the measuring system. The method is based on thermal decomposition of surface compounds at the range 130-190 °C, in which an acetaldehyde as the decomposition product is released. The synthetic pathway leading to the desired surface compounds is described. Investigations demonstrated that the synthesis of the compounds on the surface of the support material (silica gel) was carried out homogeneously. The technique proposed was used for the generation of gaseous standard mixtures containing acetaldehyde for the calibration of a thermal desorber-gas chromatograph-flame ionization detector system.  相似文献

Al2O3 insulator layers were deposited step by step by the physical vapor deposition (PVD) method onto gallium nitride in the wurtzite form, n‐type and (0001)‐oriented. The substrate surface and the early stages of Al2O3/n‐GaN(0001) interface formation were characterized in situ under ultra‐high vacuum conditions by X‐ray and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS, UPS). The electron affinity (EA) of the substrate cleaned by annealing was 3.6 eV. Binding energies of the Al 2p (76.0 eV) and the O 1s (532.9 eV) confirmed the creation of the Al2O3 compound in the deposited film for which the EA was 1.6 eV. The Al2O3 film was found to be amorphous with a bandgap of 6.9 eV determined from the O 1s loss feature. As a result, the calculated Al2O3/n‐GaN(0001) valence band offset (VBO) is ?1.3 eV and the corresponding conduction band offset (CBO) 2.2 eV.  相似文献

Analysis of the literature shows that the development of synthetic approaches to Tapentadol, an agonist of the μ-opioid receptor and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, has followed four, partially overlapping, phases. The most advanced approaches, based on stereoselective syntheses, appeared only after 2010. The majority of the chemistry examples presented in this review come from patent applications and as such have not been subjected to rigorous peer review, but may serve well as an inspiration to organic chemists for solving analogous synthetic problems.  相似文献
