The "one-pot" synthesis and characterization of a large 28-mer macrocycle (H(4)L(2)) with oxamido units capable of complexing guest ions through oxygen or nitrogen donor atoms is reported. Single-crystal structure determination of H(8)L(2)(NO(3))(4) and (Cu(2)[H(2)L(2)](H(2)O)(2))(NO(3))(2) demonstrated that the macrocycle contains two sites capable of complexing two nitrate anions or two copper(II) ions, involving a large structural reorganization in the conformation of the macrocyclic framework on coordination of the copper(II) ions when compared to the nitrate. Electrochemical and magnetic susceptibility measurements on the dinuclear Cu(II) complex and the related mononuclear and trinuclear Cu(II) complexes derived from the related 14-mer macrocycle were carried out and illustrate the role of the oxamido groups in mediating metal-metal interaction and delocalization. 相似文献

The catalytic efficiency of adenylyl cyclase activity of edema factor (EF) from Bacillus anthracis is enhanced by approximately 1000-fold upon its binding to mammalian protein calmodulin (CaM). A tandem cell-based and protein binding-based screen of a 10,000 member library identified a molecule that inhibits the EF-CaM interaction and therefore the adenylyl cyclase activity. A combination of fluorescence spectroscopy and photolabeling studies showed that the molecule targets the CaM binding region of EF. A series of related compounds were synthesized and evaluated to identify one compound, 4-[4-(4-nitrophenyl)-thiazolylamino]-benzenesulfonamide, that maintained activity against EF but showed minimal toxicity to two cultured cell lines. This compound represents an important reagent to study the role of EF in anthrax pathology and may represent a drug lead against anthrax infection. 相似文献

We review the processes which have been observed from collisions between alkali-halide clusters and solid surfaces. Soft impact of nanocrystalline NanF n?1 + clusters against solid surfaces causes them to cleave along the lowest energy (100) plane. At higher collision energies (Ei>1 eV/atom), an evaporative cascade occurs which is characteristic of a transformation of the nanocrystal to a molten state. Efficient F? transfer from the cluster to the surface can occur for the larger clusters (>60 atoms) scattering from Si(111), in direct competition with the cleaving channel at low energies. In this regime, strong bonds can form between the F? and silicon surface. The reaction probability increases with cluster size indicating that an impact-initiated shock wave is needed to enhance the reactive process. 相似文献

Metal complexes of general formula M(L)X2 and M(L)X3 [L = (4S,5S)-2,2-dimethyl-4,5-bis{6-[(4,5-dihydro-4-(S)-(1-methylethyl)oxazol-2-yl)pyridin-2-yl]}-1,3-dioxolane] were obtained by reacting, respectively, CoII, CuII, NiII, and ZnII nitrate salts and the RhIII chloride salt, with a chiral C2-symmetric bis(oxazolinylpyridinyl)dioxolane (L) ligand, in MeOH/CHCl3 solution. A single crystal X-ray analysis was carried out on [Ni(L)(OH2)2](NO3)2 · 2H2O and the molecular structure of L was also determined. In the free ligand the two symmetric arms are essentially planar and oriented nearly perpendicular to the dioxolane average plane. In the Ni complex one seven-membered and two five-membered chelation rings are formed. The metal atom also lies on the C2 axis, and two symmetry-related water molecules complete the octahedral coordination environment. Both compounds crystallize in chiral space groups; the ligand crystallizes in orthorhombic system, space group C 2 2 21, Z = 4; the nickel complex crystallizes in tetragonal system, space group P 43 21 2, Z = 4. 相似文献

A mass spectrometric method for extensive detection and semi-quantitative determination of flavonoid glycosides in stem and leaves of young Triticum durum plants is presented. About 100 g of sample were lyophilized and ground, and the compounds of interest were then extracted, cleaned-up, and fractionated using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Tandem mass spectrometry analyses were performed using a quadrupole-linear ion trap instrument with an information-dependent data acquisition (IDA) protocol that looped two experiments, enhanced MS scan and enhanced product ion scan. Various glycoconjugates, which are all derivatives of only four flavones, apigenin, luteolin, chrysoeriol and tricin, were identified and belong to the following categories: 7 monoglycosides, 31 diglycosides, 15 triglycosides and 1 tetraglycoside. Among these some acylated glycosides were found. Tricin derivatives are present exclusively as O-glycosides, while apigenin and luteolin are present always as C-glycosides. Semi-quantitative estimation was performed by using the monoglycoside and diglycoside of quercetin as internal standards. 相似文献

Pressurized Fluid Extraction (PFE) was evaluated for the extraction of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and nitro-derivatives from diesel particulate matter. Extraction conditions were set up by performing several tests in which temperature, solvent strength, pressure, and static time were gradually increased. The results obtained on a laboratory test material made of a "lean" (low content of soluble fraction) Diesel particulate matter indicate that very severe conditions were needed in order to obtain better recoveries of the higher molecular weight molecules. Moreover, extraction efficiency seems to be influenced by the amount of soluble matter in the particulate, so that a "lean" particulate appears more difficult to extract. Recoveries of the deuterated standards of certain PAHs (i.e. indeno[1,2,3- cd]pyrene) were incomplete even with the toughest conditions tested. Experiments carried out on a certified material (SRM 1650 from NIST) also indicate that PFE can perform a better extraction of some of the PAHs than the method used for certification, but still incomplete. Comparison of results obtained on the SRM with different extraction techniques suggests that the composition of the extract varies considerably with the extraction technique and conditions. It is relevant to notice that recent Diesel engines produce leaner particulate: for future materials more drastic extraction conditions will be required. 相似文献

Traditional hydrodistillation (HD), supercritical fluid extraction (SFE), organic solvent extraction (SE), and water microwave assisted hydrodistillation (MAHD) techniques were compared and evaluated for their effectiveness in the isolation of rosemary essential oil. The microwave assisted hydrodistillation technique was optimized in terms of both delivered power and time duration. The extracts/distillates were analyzed by GC and GC-MS. Microwave distillation, which exploits the physical action of microwaves on plants, showed a series of advantages over the other approaches: low cost, use of water in sample pre-treatment step, greatly reduced isolation time, and attainment of high quality essential oil distillate. Complexes of Pt(II), Pd(II), and Ni(II) with the condensation derivative of 2-(diphenylphosphino)benzaldehyde and semioxamazide
were synthesized, characterized, and their antimicrobial activity was evaluated. The ligand and the complexes were characterized
by spectroscopic methods with the particular accent on NMR spectral analysis. For the palladium(II) complex, the crystal structure
was determined by X-ray analysis. In all the complexes the ligand is coordinated as a tridentate via a P, N, O donor set. The Pd(II) and Pt(II) complexes have a square planar geometry, whereas the geometry of the Ni(II) complex
is tetrahedral. The ligand showed antibacterial and antifungal activity, which was enhanced upon complexation. 相似文献
