The experimental details are reported of Laser Ablation Molecular Isotopic Spectrometry (LAMIS) and its application for performing optical isotopic analysis of solid strontium-containing samples in ambient atmospheric air at normal pressure. The LAMIS detection method is described for strontium isotopes from samples of various chemical and isotopic compositions. The results demonstrate spectrally resolved measurements of the three individual 86Sr, 87Sr, and 88Sr isotopes that are quantified using multivariate calibration of spectra. The observed isotopic shifts are consistent with those calculated theoretically. The measured spectra of diatomic oxide and halides of strontium generated in laser ablation plasmas demonstrate the isotopic resolution and capability of LAMIS. In particular, emission spectra of SrO and SrF molecular radicals provided clean and well resolved spectral signatures for the naturally occurring strontium isotopes. A possibility is discussed of using LAMIS of strontium isotopes for radiogenic age determination.  相似文献

In this study, extracts of the flowers of the folk medicinal plant Bombax malabaricum DC were biologically and chemically screened. Chemical constituents in the n-hexane fraction from the flowers of B. malabaricum DC were investigated using gas-liquid chromatography (GLC) analysis, affording 14 compounds, including cholesterol, stigmasterol, campesterol and α-amyrin, while the residual 10 compounds are hydrocarbons. GLC analysis of the fatty acid (FA) esters established the majority abundance of the saturated FA over their unsaturated analogues. The polar methanol fraction afforded seven flavones: vicenin 2 (1), linarin (2), saponarin (3), cosmetin (4), isovitexin (5), xanthomicrol (6) and apigenin (7). Structures 1-7 were established by intensive studies of various spectral data (H-NMR, mass spectroscopy and UV) and comparison with authentic samples. Compounds 1-7 are described here for the first time from this plant. Extracts of n-hexane and methanol exhibited significant antioxidant and antimicrobial activities.  相似文献

Laser Ablation Molecular Isotopic Spectrometry (LAMIS) was recently reported for optical isotopic analysis of condensed samples in ambient air and at ambient pressure. LAMIS utilizes molecular emissions which exhibit larger isotopic spectral shits than in atomic transitions. For boron monoxide 10BO and 11BO, the isotopic shifts extend from 114 cm−1 (0.74 nm) to 145–238 cm−1 (5–8 nm) at the B2Σ+ (v = 0) → X2Σ+ (v = 2) and A2Πi (v = 0) → X2Σ+ (v = 3) transitions, respectively. These molecular isotopic shifts are over two orders of magnitude larger than the maximum isotopic shift of approximately 0.6 cm−1 in atomic boron. This paper describes how boron isotope abundance can be quantitatively determined using LAMIS and how atomic, ionic, and molecular optical emission develops in a plasma emanating from laser ablation of solid samples with various boron isotopic composition. We demonstrate that requirements for spectral resolution of the measurement system can be significantly relaxed when the isotopic abundance ratio is determined using chemometric analysis of spectra. Sensitivity can be improved by using a second slightly delayed laser pulse arriving into an expanding plume created by the first ablation pulse.  相似文献

Oxidation of N,N,N′,N′-tetrakis(diphenylphosphino)ethylendiamine (1) with elemental sulfur and selenium gives the corresponding sulfide and selenide, respectively, [(Ph2P(E))2NCH2CH2N(P(E)Ph2)2] (E: S 1a, Se 1b). Complexes of 1 [(M2Cl4){(Ph2P)2NCH2CH2N(PPh2)2}] (M: Ni(II) 1c, Pd(II) 1d, Pt(II) 1e) were prepared by the reaction of 1 with NiCl2 or [MCl2(COD)] (M = Pd, Pt). The new compounds were characterized by NMR, IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The catalytic activity of Pd(II) complex 1d was tested in the Suzuki coupling reaction and Heck reaction. The palladium complex 1d catalyses the Heck reaction between styrene and aryl bromides as well as Suzuki coupling reaction between phenylboronic acid and arylbromides affording stilbenes and biphenyls in high yield, respectively.  相似文献

Acidity constant values of benzoic acid (BA)-modified platinum electrode (Pt-BA) and p-aminobenzoic acid (pABA)-modified platinum electrode (Pt-NHBA) surfaces were determined using cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and contact angle measurements (CAM). Diazonium tetrafluoroborate salt reduction and pABA oxidation reactions were used to prepare (Pt-BA) and (Pt-NHBA) surfaces, respectively. Both surfaces exhibited pH dependence with [Fe(CN)6]3?/4? redox probe solutions at different pH; this allowed us to estimate the surface pK a values. Acidity constants for Pt-BA surface were found to be pK a (3.09 ± 0.25), (4.89 ± 0.11), and (3.91 ± 0.54) by CV, EIS, and CAM techniques, respectively, while the values for Pt-NHBA surface were pK a (3.16 ± 0.45), (4.24 ± 0.40), and (5.64 ± 0.12). The Pt-BA surface pK a values were lower in CV and CAM measurements relative to the bulk solution of BA, while a higher value was observed in EIS for Pt-BA surface. The pK a values determined for Pt-NHBA surface via both CV and EIS were lower than the bulk value; however, the result obtained from CAM was one unit higher than pK a of bulk pABA.  相似文献

One of the most attractive areas of research in drug delivery is the design of nanomedicines consisting of nanosystems that are able to deliver drugs to the right place, at appropriate time. Natural polysaccharides, due to their outstanding merits, have received more and more attention in the field of drug delivery systems. In particular, polysaccharides seem to be the most promising materials in the preparation of nanometric carriers. The main goal of the present study was to investigate the potential of a recent generation of hybrid polysaccharide nanocarriers, composed of chitosan (CS) and an anionic cyclodextrin, carboxymethyl-β-cyclodextrin (CM-β-CD), for the encapsulation of a model drug, sulindac. CS and CM-β-CD were processed to nanoparticles (NPs) via the ionotropic gelation technique. The stoichiometric ratio between these two polymers was found to influence particle size and zeta potential. Decreasing CS:CM-β-CD ratio led to an increase in particle size and decrease in zeta potential. DSC and FTIR analyses confirmed formation of NPs and encapsulation of sulindac inside them. Release profiles indicate a continuous release of the drug throughout 24?h. However, the rate of release was more rapid during the first hours; about 55–90% of the drug being released after 3?h.  相似文献

Fluorescent gold nanoclusters (Au-NCs) were synthesized by a one-pot method using 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid as a reducing and capping reagent. It is found that the red fluorescence of the Au-NCs is quenched by the introduction of Eu(III) at pH 7.0, but that fluorescence is restored on addition of phosphate. The Au-NCs were investigated by transmission electron microscopy and fluorescence photographs. The effect of pH on fluorescence was studied in the range from pH 6 to 10 and is found to be strong. Based on these findings, we have developed an assay for phosphate. Ions such as citrate, Fe(CN)6 3?, SO4 2?, S2O8 2?, Cl?, HS?, Br?, AcO?, NO2 ?, SCN?, ClO4 ?, HCO3 ?, NO3 ?, Cd2+, Ba2+, Zn2+, Mg2+, and glutamate do not interfere, but ascorbate and Fe3+ can quench Au-NCs fluorescence. The fluorescent nanocluster probe responds to phosphate in the range from 0.18 to 250 μM, and the detection limit is 180 nM. The probe also responds to pyrophosphate and ATP. Figure
