Triangular zigzag nanographenes, such as triangulene and its π‐extended homologues, have received widespread attention as organic nanomagnets for molecular spintronics, and may serve as building blocks for high‐spin networks with long‐range magnetic order, which are of immense fundamental and technological relevance. As a first step towards these lines, we present the on‐surface synthesis and a proof‐of‐principle experimental study of magnetism in covalently bonded triangulene dimers. On‐surface reactions of rationally designed precursor molecules on Au(111) lead to the selective formation of triangulene dimers in which the triangulene units are either directly connected through their minority sublattice atoms, or are separated via a 1,4‐phenylene spacer. The chemical structures of the dimers have been characterized by bond‐resolved scanning tunneling microscopy. Scanning tunneling spectroscopy and inelastic electron tunneling spectroscopy measurements reveal collective singlet–triplet spin excitations in the dimers, demonstrating efficient intertriangulene magnetic coupling.  相似文献

Directed ortho lithiation of diphenylphosphinic acid and subsequent electrophilic trapping provides mono ortho-functionalized derivatives including enantiopure γ-aminophosphinic acids in moderate yields. Copper catalyzed coupling of the ortho anion leads to biphenyl-2,2′-diylbis(phenylphosphinic acid), a phosphorus analogue of biphenyl-2,2′-dicarboxylic acid. Preliminary studies of the metal-binding abilities of this O,O-chelating ligand towards a series of metal cations are included.  相似文献

We present a finite-difference based solver for hyper-elastic and viscoplastic systems using a hybrid of the weighted essentially non-oscillatory (WENO) schemes combined with explicit centered difference to solve the equations of motion expressed in an Eulerian formulation. By construction our approach minimizes both numerical dissipation errors and the creation of curl-constraint violating errors away from discontinuities while avoiding the calculation of hyperbolic characteristics often needed in general finite-volume schemes. As a result of the latter feature, the formulation allows for a wide range of constitutive relations and only an upper-bound on the speed of sound at each time is required to ensure a stable timestep is chosen. Several one- and two-dimensional examples are presented using a range of constitutive laws with and without additional plastic modeling. In addition we extend the reflection technique combined with ghost-cells to enforce fixed boundaries with a zero tangential stress condition (i.e. free-slip).  相似文献

Lipid vesicles and other types of amphiphilic materials are of great interest in the size-controlled synthesis of metal nanoparticles. In this study, we prepared nano-sized liposomes encapsulating tetrachloroauric acid for the facile synthesis of gold nanoparticles with controlled size over a range of 2–5 nm at room temperature. The semi-permeable character of the lipid membrane to the varying concentrations of reducing agent—sodium borohydride-regulated the particle formation kinetics. Diffusion of the reducing agent through the liposomal membrane in a controlled manner resulted in ultrasmall nanoparticles of a narrow size distribution with less aggregation as compared to the solution-based preparation method.  相似文献

This review discusses the mechanisms of oxygen activation by cytochrome P450 enzymes, the possible catalytic roles of the various iron--oxygen species formed in the catalytic cycle, and progress in understanding the mechanisms of hydrocarbon hydroxylation, heteroatom oxidation, and olefin epoxidation. The focus of the review is on recent results, but earlier work is discussed as appropriate. The literature through to February 2002 is surveyed, and 175 referenced are cited.  相似文献

Solution 1H NMR is used to probe the environments of the donor protons of eight strong hydrogen bonds on the distal side of the heme substrate in the cyanide-inhibited, substrate-bound complex of human heme oxygenase, hHO. It is demonstrated that significant magnetization transfer from the bulk water signal to the eight labile protons does not result from chemical exchange, but from direct nuclear Overhauser effect due to the dipolar interaction of these labile protons with "ordered" water molecules. The enzyme labile proton to water proton distances are estimated at approximately 3 A. It is proposed that the role of the strong hydrogen-bonding network is to immobilize numerous water molecules which both stabilize the activated hydroperoxy species and funnel protons to the active site.  相似文献

We present a theoretical investigation of energy transfer in the phenylene ethynelene dendrimer known as the nanostar. Data from extensive molecular dynamics simulations are used to model the dynamical effects caused by torsional motion of the phenyl groups. We compare rate constants for energy transfer between the two-ring chromophore and the three-ring chromophore obtained via the F?rster model, the ideal dipole approximation (IDA), and the transition density cube (TDC) method, which has as its limit an exact representation of the Coulombic coupling. We find that the rate constants obtained with the TDC are extremely sensitive to the phenyl group rotation, whereas the constants computed with the F?rster model and the IDA are not. The implications of these results for the interpretation of recent pump-probe experiments on the nanostar are discussed in detail. Finally, we predict the temperature dependence of the rate constant for energy transfer.  相似文献
