MCM-48 membranes have been prepared on alumina supports of different pore sizes. A battery of characterization techniques has been used to study the physical properties and the quality of the membranes prepared. The highest quality membranes were prepared on supports with pore size of up to 60 nm. The MCM-48 membranes were tested in the separation of gas phase mixtures and a cyclohexane/O2 selectivity higher than 270 was obtained. The selective separation of organic compounds from inert components is a result of the cooperative effects of capillary condensation in MCM-48 pores and of the specific interactions of the permeating compounds and the membrane material. 相似文献

The collapse behavior of a single comblike copolymer chain has been studied by Monte Carlo simulations. It has been supposed that the solvent is good for the side chains but the solvent quality for the backbone chain changes. It has been shown that depending on the structural parameters of the comb copolymer (the lengths of the backbone and side chains, grafting density of the side chains) various thermodynamically stable morphologies of the collapsed backbone chain can be realized. In addition to ordinary spherical globule we have observed elongated structures as well as necklace-like conformations. The proposed model can be used to describe conformational behavior of stoichiometric complexes between block copolymers with a polyelectrolyte short block and oppositely charged linear homopolymers. 相似文献

The structure-property relationships of thermoplastic
polymer blends based on poly(ether-urethane) ionomer (PEUI) and ion-containing
styrene-acrylic acid copolymer (S-co-AA(K))
have been investigated by using DMTA, DSC and TGA, as well as tensile tests.
Convergence of the glass transition temperature (Tg)
values of the PEUI and the S-co-AA(K) components
in the blends studied, as compared to the individual polymers, was found and
explained by improving compatibility of the components due to increasing effective
density of physical networks formed by ion-dipole and ion-ion interactions
of ionic groups of the components. Character of E'=f(T) and E'=f(T) dependencies confirms the increase of the effective
density of physical networks in the compositions studied compared to individual
PEUI and S-co-AA(K). Improvement of end-use
properties, i.e. thermal stability and tensile properties has been found for
the PEUI/S-co-AA(K) compositions with lower
content of S-co-AA(K) (i.e. <10 mass%)
and explained by formation of additional network of intermolecular ionic bonds

The pharmacokinetics of caffeine (CAF) and its metabolites, dimethylxanthines, were examined in horses administered 2.5 mg/kg of CAF intravenously (i.v.), intramusculary (i.m.), or orally (p.o.). The plasma samples were extracted by Extrelut and the concentrations of CAF and metabolites were determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with a short column. The pharmacokinetics of CAF after bolus i.v. injection were described by the assumption of a two-compartment model, and those of CAF after i.m. or p.o. administration were done by the assumption of a one-compartment model. The biologic half lives of CAF were 15.5, 18.6, and 16.4 h after administering i.v., i.m. and p.o., respectively. The extent of the bioavailability of the p.o. administration was determined as 1.04 times the dose. The differences in pharmacokinetic parameters were not statistically significant among administration routes. A straight correlation existed between the logarithms of body weights of different species of animals and those of their biologic half lives of CAF. Therefore, the biologic half life of CAF in an animal might be predictable as a function of its body weight. 相似文献

A series of neutral meso-arylglycosylporphyrins has been tested in order to evaluate their potency as antifungal agents against the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Photodynamic activity of these molecules results in intracellular damage as evidenced by the loss of clonogenicity and DNA fragmentation. The ability of these photosensitizers to permeate yeast cells is determined by microspectrofluorimetry and is correlated with their antifungal potency. Amphiphilic porphyrin derivatives are shown to exhibit the more pronounced photoactivity. 相似文献
