We propose several examples of smooth low-order autonomous dynamical systems which have apparently uniformly hyperbolic attractors. The general idea is based on the use of coupled self-sustained oscillators where, due to certain amplitude nonlinearities, successive epochs of damped and excited oscillations alternate. Because of additional, phase sensitive coupling terms in the equations, the transfer of excitation from one oscillator to another is accompanied by a phase transformation corresponding to some chaotic map (in particular, an expanding circle map or Anosov map of a torus). The first example we construct is a minimal model possessing an attractor of the Smale-Williams type. It is a four-dimensional system composed of two oscillators. The underlying amplitude equations are similar to those of the predator-pray model. The other three examples are systems of three coupled oscillators with a heteroclinic cycle. This scheme presents more variability for the phase manipulations: in the six-dimensional system not only the Smale-Williams attractor, but also an attractor with Arnold cat map dynamics near a two-dimensional toral surface, and a hyperchaotic attractor with two positive Lyapunov exponents, are realized.  相似文献

The effect of macroscopic parameters of a substance on the optical characteristics of impurity particles is investigated. A generalized control equation is derived for two-level emitters forming an ensemble of optical centers in a transparent dielectric medium. In this equation, the effective values of the acting pump field and the radiative relaxation rate of an optical center are taken into account. The formalism developed here is a completely microscopic approach based on the chain of the Bogoliubov-Born-Green-Kirkwood-Yvon equations for reduced density matrices and correlation operators for material particles and modes of a quantized radiation field. The method used here makes it possible to take into account the effects of individual and collective behavior of emitters, which are associated with the presence of an intermediate medium, consistently without using phenomenological procedures. It is shown that the resultant analytic expression for the effective lifetime of the excited state of an optical center conforms with experimental data.  相似文献

The objective of the research outlined in this paper was to develop the analytical approximations for calculating real-gas properties (p-v-T data, thermodynamic functions: internal energy, enthalpy, and entropy, and specific heats) of vapor-phase n-alkanes from C1 (methane) to C14 (normal tetradecane), O2, N2, H2O, CO, CO2, and H2 within the range of pressure 0.05 MPa ≤ p ≤ 20 MPa and temperature 280 K ≤ T ≤ 3000 K aimed for implementation into computational fluid dynamics (CFD)-codes simulating the operation process in modern Diesel engines. The analytical approximations have been developed based on available literature data and on the new equation of state for moderately dense gases. The approximations reported are rather simple and therefore can be used directly in CFD codes. Approximations for mixing rules are also provided.  相似文献

Different scavenging techniques using polymer-supported sequestration agents are described for the purification steps in the synthesis of N3-acylated dihydropyrimidines. For scavenging both excess anhydride and unwanted byproducts, polystyrene and silica supported diamines, aminomethyl-functionalized SynPhase Lanterns and diethylenetriamine StratoSpheres Plugs are used. In both synthesis and purification microwave flash heating was utilized, reducing reaction times from hours to minutes. These two steps coupled with an efficient solid-phase extraction (SPE) workup allowed the generation of a 28-member library of N3-acylated dihydropyrimidines using anhydrides. Using related protocols a 15-member library of N3-functionalized dihydropyrimidines utilizing acid chlorides as acylating reagents was also obtained.  相似文献

Experimental investigations have been carried out to measure the transmission coefficient of laser light through an erosion flare, the coefficient of reflection from the irradiated solid surface, and the recoil momentum of insulating and metal targets in the range of pulsed laser intensities from 106 to 107 W/cm2 with variation in the pressure of the surrounding medium from 10−2 to 105 Pa. An analysis is made of how the screening properties of the erosion flare affect the recoil momentum, and it is found necessary to take into account absorption of the radiation in the flare in determining the coefficient of reflection of the radiation from the surface. The yield and energy distributions of potassium and cesium atoms emitted in electron-stimulated desorption (ESD) from a molybdenum surface, oxidized to different extent and maintained at 300 K, have been measured by the time-of-flight technique with a surface ionization detector. The ESD threshold for potassium and cesium atoms lies around 25 eV, irrespective of molybdenum oxidation state. In the case of molybdenum coated by an oxygen monolayer, secondary thresholds at ∼40 and ∼70 eV have been observed, as well as atomic energy distribution tailing down to very low energies. The most probable kinetic energies of the atoms are a few tenths of one eV. The results are explained within a model involving Auger neutralization of the adsorbed alkali metal ions after the filling of the 2s O, 4s Mo, and 4p Mo core holes. The possibility of ESD of a neutral species as a result of oxide-cation core-level ionization has been demonstrated for the first time. Fiz. Tverd. Split RF coils offer improved patient access by eliminating the need for the coil to be slid over the region of interest. For unshielded birdcage coils, the presence of end ring currents necessitates a direct electrical connection between two halves of the coil. For high-field (>3T) shielded birdcage coils, both the shield and the coil must be split and reliably connected electrically. This problem can be circumvented by the use of split TEM volume coils. Since the elements of a TEM coil are coupled inductively, no direct electrical connection between the halves is necessary. In this work we demonstrate that the effects of splitting the shield for head and knee TEMs can be compensated for, and performance retained. For the knee, the improved access allowed the coil diameter to be reduced, enhancing the sensitivity by 15-20%.  相似文献

The effect of structured plasma-sprayed capillary-porous coatings on transient processes and the development of crisis phenomena at boiling under pulsed heat release was studied. The working fluid was liquid nitrogen on the saturation line at atmospheric pressure. It is shown that under unsteady heat release, there is a degeneration of the development of the boiling crisis on heaters with structured capillary-porous coatings at q < qCHF (critical heat flux at steady heat release). Under unsteady pulsed heat release, no rapid transition to the film boiling regime (without passing through the nucleate boiling stage) is observed on heaters with such coatings until the thermal load is more than two times higher than the critical heat flux for steady heat release. This significantly increases the times of transition to post-critical heat transfer. Analysis of synchronized measurements of surface temperature of heaters and high-speed video recording of transient processes shows that the degeneration of the heat transfer crisis at q < qCHF on samples with coatings occurs due to significantly lower liquid boiling temperature differences and specific features of the dynamics of propagation of self-sustaining evaporation fronts in comparison with a smooth heater.  相似文献

We present a first-principles density functional theory study on the structural, electronic and dynamical properties of a novel barium doped graphene phase. Low energy electron diffraction of barium doped graphene presents clear evidence of (2 × 2) spots induced by barium adatoms with BaC8 stoichiometry. First principles calculations reveals that the phase is thermodynamically stable but unstable to segregation towards the competitive BaC6 monolayer phase. The calculation of phonon spectrum confirms the dynamical stability of the BaC8 phase indicating its metastability, probably stabilized by doping and strain conditions due to the substrate. Barium induces a relevant doping of the graphene π states and new barium-derived hole Fermi surface at the M-point of the (2 × 2) Brillouin zone. In view of possible superconducting phase induced by foreign dopants in graphene, we studied the electron–phonon coupling of this novel (2 × 2) obtaining λ = 0.26, which excludes the stabilization of a superconducting phase.  相似文献

The problem of heat and mass transfer has been solved numerically under the conditions of coal-water fuel particle ignition. The concurrent processes of evaporation, filtration of steam, thermal decomposition of the organic part of coal, thermal and chemical interaction of steam and coke carbon, and oxidation of products of their reaction and volatiles by the external oxidizer have been taken into account. The scales of influence of individual thermophysical and thermochemical properties of coals on the characteristics and conditions of ignition of coal-water slurry have been determined.  相似文献
