Over the last few years LHCb found some discrepancies in b → sl~+l~-FCNC transitions, including anomalies in the angular observables of B→K~*μ~+μ~-, particularly in P′_5, in the low dimuon mass region. Recently,these anomalies have been confirmed by Belle, CMS and ATLAS. As direct evidence of physics beyond the Standard Model is absent so far, these anomalies are being interpreted as indirect hints of new physics. In this context, we study the implications of the family non-universal Z′ model for the angular observables P_(1,2,3), P′_(4,5,6) and newly proposed lepton flavor universality violation observables, Q_(4,5), in the B → K~*(→Kπ)μ~+μ~-decay channel in the low dimuon mass region. To see the variation in the values of these observables from their Standard Model values, we have chosen different scenarios for the Z′ model. It is found that these angular observables are sensitive to the values of the parameters of the Z′ model. We have also found that with the present parametric space of the Z′ model,the P′_5-anomaly could be accommodated. However, more statistics on the anomalies in the angular observables are helpful to reveal the status of the considered model and, in general, the nature of new physics.  相似文献

High and fluctuating salinity is characteristic for coastal salt marshes, which strongly affect the physiology of halophytes consequently resulting in changes in stable isotope distribution. The natural abundance of stable isotopes (δ13C and δ15N) of the halophyte plant Salicornia brachiata and physico-chemical characteristics of soils were analysed in order to investigate the relationship of stable isotope distribution in different populations in a growing period in the coastal area of Gujarat, India. Aboveground and belowground biomass of S. brachiata was collected from six different populations at five times (September 2014, November 2014, January 2015, March 2015 and May 2015). The δ13C values in aboveground (?30.8 to ?23.6?‰, average: ?26.6?±?0.4?‰) and belowground biomass (?30.0 to ?23.1?‰, average: ?26.3?±?0.4?‰) were similar. The δ13C values were positively correlated with soil salinity and Na concentration, and negatively correlated with soil mineral nitrogen. The δ15N values of aboveground (6.7–16.1?‰, average: 9.6?±?0.4?‰) were comparatively higher than belowground biomass (5.4–13.2?‰, average: 7.8?±?0.3?‰). The δ15N values were negatively correlated with soil available P. We conclude that the variation in δ13C values of S. brachiata was possibly caused by soil salinity (associated Na content) and N limitation which demonstrates the potential of δ13C as an indicator of stress in plants.  相似文献

Single core stainless steel (SS) sheathed MgB2 tapes have been made by the powder-in-tube (PIT) method using commercial Mg and B powders in two series, one with nominal composition and the other with excess Mg. The electrical resistivity and susceptibility measurements have been carried out to evaluate residual resistivity ratio (RRR), the coherence length ξ(0) and critical current density JC(T) in these tapes. Detailed structural analysis of the core material has been carried out to correlate the superconducting properties with the crystallinity. In the optimized growth condition the MgB2 tapes exhibited an estimated JC of ∼1.4×107 A/m2 at 39.45 K in zero field and the zero temperature coherence length is found to be ∼68 Å. MgB2 tapes fabricated from starting powders having nominal Mg-composition have been shown to exhibit higher JC than those fabricated from excess magnesium composition of the starting powders. The strained lattice together with the presence of nanosized MgO inclusion having size smaller than the coherence length, are shown to be responsible for the observed higher JC.  相似文献

It is well known that in a two-slit interference experiment, if the information, on which of the two paths the particle followed, is stored in a quantum path detector, the interference is destroyed. However, in a set-up where this path information is ‘erased’, the interference can reappear. Such a set-up is known as a quantum eraser. A generalization of quantum eraser to a ‘three-slit’ interference is theoretically analysed. It is shown that three complementary interference patterns can arise out of the quantum erasing process.  相似文献

Fruits, vegetables, and other edible plants in our diet have numerous health benefits, due to the bioactive compounds in these food items, including polyphenols. These plants are a rich and promising source of natural products and phytochemicals that can be used to treat and prevent numerous diseases and prevent the progression of cancer. Dietary polyphenols exhibit chemo-preventive and therapeutic effects against various ailments, including several types of cancer. The current study focuses on polyphenol’s traditional and advanced extraction methods, with supercritical extraction as a novel approach. It also deals with their identification, bioavailability, and role in preventing and treating colorectal and prostate cancers. Additionally, the article covers the literature that deals with the anticancer activities of polyphenols, as well as their potential use as anticancer agents.  相似文献

In the present work, an effort has been made to utilize Phyllanthus emblica (PE) fruit stone as a potential biomaterial for the sustainable remediation of noxious heavy metals viz. Pb(II) and Cd(II) from the aqueous solution using adsorption methodology. Further, to elucidate the adsorption potential of Phyllanthus emblica fruit stone (PEFS), effective parameters, such as contact time, initial metal concentration, temperature, etc., were investigated and optimized using a simple batch adsorption method. It was observed that 80% removal for both the heavy metal ions was carried out within 60 min of contact time at an optimized pH 6. Moreover, the thermodynamic parameters results indicated that the adsorption process in the present study was endothermic, spontaneous, and feasible in nature. The positive value of entropy further reflects the high adsorbent–adsorbate interaction. Thus, based on the findings obtained, it can be concluded that the biosorbent may be considered a potential material for the remediation of these noxious impurities and can further be applied or extrapolated to other impurities.  相似文献

Chrozophora tinctoria (Euphorbiaceae) has been used as an emetic, anthelminthic, and cathartic agent in traditional medicine. We used gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) to characterize the composition of ethyl acetate (EAC) and dichloromethane (DCMC) fractions from the whole Chrozophora tinctoria plant. EAC and DCMC fractions were evaluated for acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitory activity and acute toxicity. Their effects on intestinal propulsive movement and spasmogenic activity of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) muscle were also assessed. The compounds detected in both fractions were mostly fatty acids, with about seven compounds in EAC and 10 in DCMC. These included pharmacologically active compounds such as imipramine, used to treat depression, or hexadecanoic acid methyl ester, an antioxidant. Both EAC and DCMC fractions inhibited acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity with IC50 values of 10 µg and 130 µg, respectively. Both the fractions were found to be toxic in a dose-dependent manner, inducing emesis at 0.5 g or higher and lethargy and mortality from 3–5 g upwards. Similarly, both of the fractions showed laxative activity in metronidazole- and loperamide-induced constipation models. EAC relaxed the intestinal muscle at a lower dose (1 mg/mL) than DCMC. Similarly, the EAC extract showed a significant relaxation effect (EC50 = 0.67 ± 0.15 mg/mL) on KCL-induced contraction in rabbit jejunum as compared to DCMC (EC50 = 5.04 ± 0.05 mg/kg). The present study strongly supports the folklore that this valuable plant is a cathartic agent. Further work is required to isolate and validate the bioactive compounds that act as diarrheal agents in Chrozophora tinctoria.  相似文献

Cytochrome P450 enzymes protect the body from foreign substances through a mechanism that involves oxidation of those substances into more readily excretable polar compounds. It has been shown that some naphthoflavones function as substrates of certain P450 enzymes (CYP1A1 and CYP1B1) and with appropriate structural changes may become inhibitors. Moreover, propargyl ether derivatives of adamantane have been shown to function as selective inactivators of some P450 enzymes (CYP2B1 and CYP2B5). In an attempt to improve the potency and selectivity of inhibition, we have designed and synthesized a series of naphthoflavone propargyl ethers. We report here the synthesis, X-ray crystal structures, and inhibition data (IC50 of EROD inhibition in CYP1A1 and CYP1B1 enzymes) of α-naphthoflavone 2′-propargyl ether, β-naphthoflavone 2′-propargyl ether, α-naphthoflavone 4′-propargyl ether, and β-naphthoflavone 4′-propargyl ether. Single crystals of CdI2 were grown by employing the horizontal zone refining method. Emission spectra of these crystals were recorded at room temperature and liquid nitrogen temperature. Various emission parameters such as optical gain coefficient, lifetime, gain, stimulated emission cross section were evaluated for the various emission components. The results show high gain at low temperature whereas very low value at rmm temperature. This has been explained by invoking the existence of self trapped excitons in the crystal.  相似文献

This paper compared the effects of A. indica plant proteins over chemical methods in the morphology of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) prepared by a co-precipitation method, and ethanol sensing performance of prepared thin films deposited over a fluorene-doped tin oxide (FTO) bind glass substrate using spray pyrolysis technique. The average crystallite sizes and diameters of the grain-sized cluster ZnO NPs were 25 and (701.79 ± 176.21) nm for an undoped sample and 20 and (489.99 ± 112.96) nm for A. india dye-doped sample. The fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis confirmed the formation of the Zn–O bond at 450 cm−1, and also showed the presence of plant proteins due to A. indica dye extracts. ZnO NPs films exhibited good response (up to 51 and 72% for without and with A. indica dye-doped extracts, respectively) toward ethanol vapors with quick response-recovery characteristics at a temperature of 250 °C for undoped and 225 °C for A. indica dye-doped ZnO thin films. The interaction of A. indica dye extracts helps to decrease the operating temperature and increased the response and recovery rates of the sensor, which may be due to an increase in the specific surface area, resulting in adsorption of more oxygen and hence high response results.  相似文献
