Thermodynamic studies on ternary oxides of Li-Fe-O systems were carried out using differential scanning calorimetry, Knudsen effusion mass spectrometry, and solid-state electrochemical technique based on fluoride electrolyte. Heat capacities of LiFe5O8(s) and LiFeO2(s) were determined in the temperature range 127-861 K using differential scanning calorimetry. Gibbs energies of formation of LiFe5O8(s) and LiFeO2(s) were determined using Knudsen effusion mass spectrometry and solid-state galvanic cell technique. The combined least squares fits can be represented as

Aberrant activation of hepatocyte growth factor/scatter factor (HGF/SF) and its receptor, Met, is involved in the development and progression of many human cancers. In the cell-based screening assay, (-)epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) inhibited HGF/SF-Met signaling as indicated by its inhibitory activity on HGF/SF-induced cell scattering and uPA activation (IC50=15.8 microgram/ml). Further analysis revealed that EGCG at low doses specifically inhibited HGF/SF-induced tyrosine phosphorylation of Met but not epidermal growth factor (EGF)-induced phosphorylation of EGF receptor (EGFR). On the other hand, high-dose EGCG decreased both Met and EGFR proteins. We also found that EGCG did not act on the intracellular portion of Met receptor tyrosine kinase, i.e., it inhibited InlB-dependent activation of Met but not NGF-induced activation of Trk-Met hybrid receptor. This inhibition decreased HGF-induced migration and invasion by parental or HGF/SF-transfected B16F10 melanoma cells in vitro in either a paracrine or autocrine manner. Furthermore, EGCG inhibited the invasion/metastasis of HGF/SF-transfected B16F10 melanoma cells in mice. Our data suggest the possible use of EGCG in human cancers associated with dysregulated paracrine or autocrine HGF/SF-Met signaling.  相似文献

Interactional studies of new flavonoid derivatives (Fl) with chicken blood ds.DNA were investigated spectrophotometrically in DMSO-H2O (9:1 v/v) at various temperatures. Spectral parameters suggest considerable binding between the flavonoid derivatives studied and ds.DNA. The binding constant values lie in the enhanced-binding range. Thermodynamic parameters obtained from UV studies also point to strong spontaneous binding of Fl with ds.DNA. Viscometric studies complimented the UV results where a small linear increase in relative viscosity of the DNA solution was observed with added optimal flavonoid concentration. An overall mixed mode of interaction (intercalative plus groove binding) is proposed between DNA and flavonoids. Conclusively, investigated flavonoid derivatives are found to be strong DNA binders and seem to be promising drug candidates like their natural analogues.  相似文献

Undoped and zinc-doped TiO2 nanoparticles (Ti1−xZnxO2 where x = 0.00–0.10) were synthesized by a sol–gel method. The synthesized products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and UV–VIS spectrometer. XRD pattern confirmed the tetragonal structure of synthesized samples. Average grain size was determined from X-ray line broadening using the Debye–Scherrer relation. The crystallite size was varied from 10 to 40 nm as the calcination temperature was increased from 350 to 800 °C. The incorporation of 3–5 mol% Zn2+ in place of the Ti4+ provoked a slight decrease in the size of nanocrystals as compared to undoped TiO2. The SEM and TEM micrographs revealed the agglomerated spherical-like morphology with a diameter of about 10–30 nm and length of several nanometers, which is in agreement with XRD results. Optical absorption measurements indicated a blue shift in the absorption band edge upon 3–5 mol% zinc doping. Direct allowed band gap of undoped and Zn-doped TiO2 nanoparticles measured by UV–VIS spectrometer were 2.95 and 3.00 eV at 550 °C, respectively.  相似文献

The flow and heat transfer for an electrically conducting fluid with a porous substrate and a flat plate under the influence of magnetic field is considered. The magnetic field is assumed to be uniform and also along normal to the surface. The momentum and energy equations are transformed to ordinary differential equations by using suitable similarity transformation and are solved by standard techniques. But the energy equation is solved by considering two boundary layers, one in the porous substrate and the other above the porous substrate. Numerical results are presented through graphs with various values of magnetic parameter for both velocity and thermal boundary layers along with Nusselt number and for various values of Prandtl number and Eckert number in thermal boundary layer.  相似文献

The structural and magnetic properties of as-grown 5–50 nm thin ion-beam sputter deposited transition metal–metalloid Co20Fe60B20 (CFB) films are reported in this communication. A broad peak observed at 2θ∼45° in the glancing angle X-ray diffraction pattern revealed the formation of very fine nano-sized grains embedded in majority amorphous CFB matrix. Although no magnetic field is applied during deposition, the longitudinal magneto-optic Kerr effect measurements performed at 300 K in these as-grown films clearly established the presence of in-plane uniaxial magnetic anisotropy (Ku). It is argued that this observed anisotropy is strain-induced. This is supported by the observed dependence of direction of Ku on the angle between applied magnetic field and crystallographic orientation of the underlying Si(100) substrate, and increase in the coercivity with the increase of the film thickness.  相似文献

Discrete Element Method (DEM) has been successfully coupled with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) in the framework of OpenFOAM an open source CFD simulation code. In the current study, at first the model is validated with the simple test case of spherical particle comparing the results with the analytical solution. Then the simulation of a gaseous fluidized bed is considered. The coupled mass and momentum balance equations are used to calculate the flow behavior, particle fluidization and bubble formation. The dimensions of the simulation domain are similar to Link et al. (2005) but with different stiffness of particles. The higher velocity of gaseous fluid relative to particles entering through a jet causes the particles to fluidize. The particles behavior, fluidization, bubble formation and the velocity vectors of particles show a good agreement with the literature. (© 2012 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)  相似文献
