Composition-Nominative Logics as Institutions

Composition-nominative logics (CNL) are program-oriented logics. They are based on algebras of partial predicates which do not have fixed arity. The aim of this work is to present CNL as institutions. Homomorphisms of first-order CNL are introduced, satisfaction condition is proved. Relations with institutions for classical first-order logic are considered. Directions for further investigation are outlined.     

Design of terahertz-bandwidth arbitrary-order temporal differentiators based on long-period fiber gratings

We show that long-period fiber grating (LPG) incorporating N-1pi-phase shifts can serve as an Nth order temporal differentiator that operates in transmission. Due to the inherent large bandwidth provided by LPGs, subpicosecond (terahertz-bandwidth) optical signals may be processed with centimeters-length devices. Design parameters for up to fifth-order differentiators are given.     

On a nonclassical fractional boundary-value problem for the Laplace operator

In this paper we consider a boundary-value problem for the Poisson equation with a boundary condition comprising the fractional derivative in time and the right-hand sides dependent on time. We prove the one-valued solvability of this problem, and provide the coercive estimates of the solution.     

Synthesis of 3‐Aryl/methoxycarbonyl‐3,4‐dihydroisocoumarin‐6‐carboxylic Acid Derivatives

3‐Substituted methyl 3,4‐dihydroisocoumarin‐6‐carboxylates were obtained by the intramolecular cyclization of 2,5‐dimethoxycarbonyl benzenediazonium bromides with methyl/ethyl acrylate and styrenes under Meerwein's arylation conditions.     

Novel Peroxide Containing Maleinate Surface-Active Monomers for Obtaining Reactive Polymers

Novel surface-active monomers were synthesized by successive treatment of tert-butylperoxy-6-hydroxyhexanoate with maleic anhydride, 1,3-propane sultone and triethylamine or with maleic anhydride and poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether. The surface-active properties of monomers were studied. The critical micelle concentrations (cmc) as well as the surface tension at the cmc were determined for obtained monomers. The synthesized compounds were shown to be suitable reactive surfactants for obtaining styrene latexes.     

Electrochemiluminescent detection of labile radical intermediates of electrochemical reactions

The article considers the basic principles of electrochemiluminescent spin traps diagnostic method which consists of efficient trapping of intermediate labile radical products (free radicals of complex organic molecules) by electrogenerated radical ions of electrochemiluminescers in different liquid-phase systems including bioobjects. The method permits qualitative and quantitative identification of such particles by measurement of electrolysis radical recombination luminescence (electrogenerated chemiluminescence) intensity which is emitted by electrolyzed solutions of organic electrochemiluminescers. The unique possibilities of the method are illustrated on examples of experimental study of systems with sodium tetraphenylborate and chloride ion.
