Polymer microfluidic chips for electrochemical and biochemical analyses   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
Our recent developments concerning the fabrication of polymer microchips and their applications for biochemical analyses are reviewed. We first describe two methods of fabrication of polymer microfluidic chips, namely UV-laser photoablation and plasma etching that are well suited for the prototyping and mass fabrication of microchannel networks with integrated microelectrodes. These microanalytical systems can be coupled with various detection means including mass spectrometry, and their applications in capillary electrophoresis are presented here. We also present how UV laser photoablation can be used for the patterning of biomolecules on polymer surfaces for generating two-dimensional arrays of microspots to carry out affinity assays. Finally, the use of the microchips for the development of fast affinity and immunological assays with electrochemical detection is presented, demonstrating the potential of these polymer microchips for medical diagnostics and drug discovery.  相似文献

Ambient‐temperature sodium–sulfur (Na–S) batteries are considered a promising energy storage system due to their high theoretical energy density and low costs. However, great challenges remain in achieving a high rechargeable capacity and long cycle life. Herein we report a stable quasi‐solid‐state Na‐S battery enabled by a poly(S‐pentaerythritol tetraacrylate (PETEA))‐based cathode and a (PETEA‐tris[2‐(acryloyloxy)ethyl] isocyanurate (THEICTA))‐based gel polymer electrolyte. The polymeric sulfur electrode strongly anchors sulfur through chemical binding and inhibits the shuttle effect. Meanwhile, the in situ formed polymer electrolyte with high ionic conductivity and enhanced safety successfully stabilizes the Na anode/electrolyte interface, and simultaneously immobilizes soluble Na polysulfides. The as‐developed quasi‐solid‐state Na‐S cells exhibit a high reversible capacity of 877 mA h g?1 at 0.1 C and an extended cycling stability.  相似文献

Herein, we present the peptide‐guided assembly of complementary fragments of designed armadillo repeat proteins (dArmRPs) to create proteins that bind peptides not only with high affinity but also with good selectivity. We recently demonstrated that complementary N‐ and C‐terminal fragments of dArmRPs form high‐affinity complexes that resemble the structure of the full‐length protein, and that these complexes bind their target peptides. We now demonstrate that dArmRPs can be split such that the fragments assemble only in the presence of a templating peptide, and that fragment mixtures enrich the combination with the highest affinity for this peptide. The enriched fragment combination discriminates single amino acid variations in the target peptide with high specificity. Our results suggest novel opportunities for the generation of new peptide binders by selection from dArmRP fragment mixtures.  相似文献

We report the synthesis and physical characterization of a series of peripherally functionalized porphyrazines (pzs) of the forms H2[pz(A;B3)] and trans-H2[pz(A2);B2], where A is a dithiolene chelate of molybdocene or vanadocene and B is a solublizing group. The precursor pz's 8 and 9, of the form H2[pz(A;B3)], where A = (4-(butyloxycarbonyl)-S-benzyl)2 and B = di-tert-butylphenyl (8) or di-n-propyl (9), have been prepared, deprotected, and peripherally metalated with molybdocene and vanadocene to form 1(Mo(IV)) and 1(V(IV)), prepared from 8, and 2(Mo(IV)) from 9, respectively. Likewise, the protected trans-H2[pz(A2);B2)], where A = (S-benzyl)2 and B = 3,6-butyloxybenzene (12) or A = (S-benzyl)2 and B = (tert-butylphenyl)2 (13), have been prepared and peripherally metalated with molybdocene and vanadocene to give the trans dinuclear complexes, 3(Mo(IV),Mo(IV)), 3(V(IV),V(IV)) (from 12), and 4(V(IV),V(IV)) (from 13). A crystal structure of the trans vanadocene pz 4(V(IV),V(IV)) is presented; the distance between the two vanadium atoms is 14.5 A. The molybdocene-appended pz's are highly redox active and exhibit cyclic voltammograms that are more than just the sum of the metallocene and the parent pz's. Chemical oxidation with FcPF6 gives the Mo(V) species 1(Mo(V)), 2(Mo(V)), 3(Mo(V),Mo(IV)), and 3(Mo(V),Mo(V)). Their EPR spectra are indicative of extensive delocalization from the Mo(V) into the dithiolato-pz. The EPR spectrum of the mononuclear paramagnetic vanadocene pz, 1(V(IV)), shows an expected 8-line pattern for an S = 2 system with hyperfine coupling to a single 51V (I = 7/2) nucleus, but the dinuclear vanadocene pz's, 3(V(IV),V(IV)) and 4(V(IV),V(IV)), exhibit a striking 15-line pattern of the same breadth from the S = 1 state formed by exchange coupling between the S = 2 vanadium centers of a dinuclear complex. Thus, the porphyrazine macrocycle is capable of mediating magnetic exchange interactions between metal ions bound to the periphery, separated by 14.5 A.  相似文献

The redox and optical properties of various well defined polymer and copolymer films containing pyrrole or thiophene units were studied. The in situ ESR/UV‐Vis‐NIR spectroelectrochemistry was applied to investigate polymers and copolymers deposited both electrochemically or by a special chemical procedure using adhesion promoter onto the optically transparent indium‐tin‐oxide (ITO) electrodes. The spectroelectrochemical responses of chemically and electrochemically prepared polythiophenes on ITO were compared and the electronic structures of both polymers found to be similar. In situ ESR/UV‐Vis‐NIR voltammetric studies on electrochemically prepared copolymers containing pyrrole units and various N,N′‐ethylene‐bis(salicylidenimine) (salen) transition metal complexes indicate the presence of both polysalen and polypyrrole redox active centers in the copolymer.  相似文献

Thermodynamic data and mechanical measurements are shown for gels prepared in aqueous binary solvents (water/DMSO, water/DMF, water/methyl formamide and water/formamide). When electrostatic interactions, as opposed to hydrogen bonding, can be established with the cosolvent (DMSO, DMF, methyl formamide) we come to the conclusion that ternary complexes are formed (agarose/water/cosolvent). In the case of chemically‐modified agarose (OH groups replaced by OCH3 groups) we suggest that these cosolvents are directly involved in the formation of the gel.  相似文献
