Quantum information theorists have created axiomatic reconstructions of quantum mechanics (QM) that are very successful at identifying precisely what distinguishes quantum probability theory from classical and more general probability theories in terms of information-theoretic principles. Herein, we show how one such principle, Information Invariance and Continuity, at the foundation of those axiomatic reconstructions, maps to “no preferred reference frame” (NPRF, aka “the relativity principle”) as it pertains to the invariant measurement of Planck’s constant h for Stern-Gerlach (SG) spin measurements. This is in exact analogy to the relativity principle as it pertains to the invariant measurement of the speed of light c at the foundation of special relativity (SR). Essentially, quantum information theorists have extended Einstein’s use of NPRF from the boost invariance of measurements of c to include the SO(3) invariance of measurements of h between different reference frames of mutually complementary spin measurements via the principle of Information Invariance and Continuity. Consequently, the “mystery” of the Bell states is understood to result from conservation per Information Invariance and Continuity between different reference frames of mutually complementary qubit measurements, and this maps to conservation per NPRF in spacetime. If one falsely conflates the relativity principle with the classical theory of SR, then it may seem impossible that the relativity principle resides at the foundation of non-relativisitic QM. In fact, there is nothing inherently classical or quantum about NPRF. Thus, the axiomatic reconstructions of QM have succeeded in producing a principle account of QM that reveals as much about Nature as the postulates of SR. 相似文献

Alkali‐free Cu(In,Ga)Se2(CIGS) absorbers grown on Mo‐coated alumina (Al2O3) substrates were doped with potassium (K) after CIGS growth by a potassium fluoride (KF) post‐deposition treatment (PDT). The addition of K to the absorber leads to a strong increase in cell efficiency from 10.0% for the K‐free cell to 14.2% for the K‐doped cell, mainly driven by an increase in the open‐circuit voltage Voc and the fill factor FF, and to an increase in the net charge carrier density. Hence K doping by KF‐PDT is comparable to doping with Na.

The three-phase approach provides a simple and robust way to develop discrete computer simulation programs. Object-orientation allows system developers to develop software which can be extended and also makes it impossible for important variables within a software system to be tampered with. This paper shows how the two approaches can be usefully combined and discusses the development of a simulation library, written in C++ and based on these ideas. In the theory of iterative methods, the classical Stein-Rosenberg theorem can be viewed as giving the simultaneous convergence (or divergence) of the extrapolated Jacobi (JOR) matrix Jω and the successive overrelaxation (SOR) matrix , in the case when the Jacobi matrix J1 is nonnegative. As has been established recently by Buoni and Varga, necessary and sufficient conditions for the simultaneous convergence (or divergence) of Jω and have been established which do not depend on the assumption that J1 is nonnegative. Our aim here is to extend these results to the singular case, using the notion of semiconvergence. A stochastic production frontier method is used to examine technical efficiency among Indian vacuum-pan sugar factories over a five-year period. Most factories are close to Indian best practice in terms of technical efficiency. Smaller firms and firms with access to sweeter cane are likely to be more efficient than other firms, while publicly owned firms are less efficient. A graph G is said to be k-γ-critical if the size of any minimum dominating set of vertices is k, but if any edge is added to G the resulting graph can be dominated with k−1 vertices. The structure of k-γ-critical graphs remains far from completely understood, even in the special case when the domination number γ=3. In a 1983 paper, Sumner and Blitch proved a theorem which may regarded as a result related to the toughness of 3-γ-critical graphs which says that if S is any vertex cutset of such a graph, then G−S has at most |S|+1 components.
