Density functional theory has been used to investigate complexes related to the [2Fe](H) subcluster of [Fe]-hydrogenases. In particular, the effects on structural and electronic properties of redox state and ligands with different sigma-donor pi-acceptor character, which replace the cysteine residue coordinated to the [2Fe](H) subcluster in the enzyme, have been investigated. Results show that the structural and electronic properties of fully reduced Fe(I)Fe(I) complexes are strongly affected by the nature of the ligand L, and in particular, a progressive rotation of the Fe(d)(CO)(2)(CN) group, with a CO ligand moving from a terminal to a semibridged position, is observed going from the softest to the hardest ligand. For the partially oxidized Fe(I)Fe(II) complexes, two isomers of similar stability, characterized either by a CO ligand in a terminal or bridged position, have been observed. The switching between the two forms is associated with a spin and charge transfer between the two iron atoms, a feature that could be relevant in the catalytic mechanism of dihydrogen activation. The structure of the fully oxidized Fe(II)Fe(II) models is extremely dependent on the nature of the L ligand; one CO group coordinated to Fe(d) switches from terminal to bridging position going from complexes characterized by neutral to anionic L ligands.  相似文献

In the presence of catalytic amounts of tetraalkylphosphonium salts and under solventless conditions, primary aliphatic amines (RNH(2): R = PhCH(2), Ph(CH(2))(2), n-decyl, and 1-naphthylmethyl) are efficiently N-benzylated to the corresponding RN(CH(2)Ph)(2), using dibenzyl carbonate as the benzylating reagent. Compared to the reaction run without salt, where the competitive formation of the benzyl carbamate is favored, the phosphonium salt promotes high selectivity toward the benzylated amine and an increase of the reaction rate as well. However, in a single case explored for an amino acidic compound, namely 4-(aminomethyl)benzoic acid [4-(NH(2)CH(2))C(6)H(4)CO(2)H], both N,N-dibenzylation and esterification of the acid group were observed. Analysis of the IR vibrational modes of benzylamine in the presence of tetrabutylphosphonium bromide supports the hypothesis that this enhanced selectivity may be due to an acid-base interaction between the salt and the amine, which increases the steric bulk of the amine and favors attack of the nucleophile on the less hindered alkyl terminus of dibenzyl carbonate.  相似文献

The role of Lewis bases in MgCl2 supported catalysts for olefin polymerization is a subject of continuous interest and discussion in order to obtain more and more active and stereospecific catalysts and to explain their stereoregulating mechanism. Through molecular calculation and conformational analysis it was possible to identify chelating diethers that have the correct oxygen-oxygen distance necessary to tightly coordinate with the Mg ions of the support, even in the presence of other strong Lewis acids, and unable to give secondary reactions with TiCl4, AlR3, Ti-C and Ti-H bonds. The use of these donors has allowed the synthesis of catalytic systems that are both highly active and stereospecific even in the absence of external donors. Kinetic data of propylene polymerization with these catalyst systems are reported. The importance of the distance between the donor atoms in bifunctional Lewis bases has been proved also in the case of new classes of internal donors. Molecular modelling studies have enabled us to formulate models of active sites, located on some corners of MgCl2 crystallites, whose chirality is induced by the presence of a donor molecule in their environment. These models could explain, at least in part, the exceptional increase of isotactic polymer productivity observed for stereospecific catalyst systems, containing only the internal donor, with respect to catalysts lacking the Lewis base and could account for the influence of the donor on the molecular properties of the obtained polymers.  相似文献

The combined activity of the 1.1.1‐cryptand and of a dicopper(II) bistren cryptate complex including chloride makes the Cl? ion be continuously and slowly delivered to the solution, without any external intervention. The 1.1.1‐cryptand slowly releases OH? ions, according to a defined kinetics, and each OH? ion displaces a Cl? ion from the cryptate. Chloride displacement induces a sharp colour change from bright yellow to aquamarine and can be conveniently monitored spectrophotometrically, even in diluted solutions. The 1.1.1‐cryptand is the motor of a molecular dispenser (the dicopper(II) cryptate) delivering chloride ion automatically, from the inside of the solution.  相似文献

7,8-dihydroquinoline-4,5 (1H,6H)-dione (1) and 7,8-dihydroquinoline-2,5-(1H,6H)-dione (2) in their tautomeric oxo and hydroxy forms have been studied by ab initio Hartree-Fock calculations; tautomerization energies predict a more stable hydroxy structure having an intramolecular hydrogen bond for compound 1, whereas the oxo form is slightly-preferred for compound 2. Fourier Transform-Infra Red (FT-IR) spectra in CHCl3 solution indicate that the predicted most stable tautomers in the vapour phase remain as such.  相似文献

The reactivity of Δ3- and Δ2-3-bromomethylcephems toward carboxylate nucleophiles has been studied. The Δ3-bromomethylcephem 1 , less reactive than the Δ2-analogue 4 , is converted in high yields into 3-acyl-oxymethyl-3-cephems 2a-d , generally with no isomerization of the double bond, only within a narrow range of conditions. In particular, the Δ3-7-aminocephalosporanic acid (7-ACA) derivative 2a has been obtained as the only product in 91% yield by treatment of 1 with triethylammonium acetate in acetic acid. The Δ2-bromomethyl-cephem 4 is easily converted into the Δ2-acyloxymethyl-cepheras 5a-d without double bond isomerization, in very high yields.  相似文献
