In order to explore the potential propensity of the 1,1′‐methylenedipyridinium dication to form organic–inorganic hybrid ionic compounds by reaction with the appropriate halide metal salt, the organic–inorganic hybrid salts 1,1′‐methylenedipyridinium tetrachloridocuprate(II), (C11H12N2)[CuCl4], (I), and 1,1′‐methylenedipyridinium bis[tetrachloridoaurate(III)], (C11H12N2)[AuCl4]2, (II), were obtained by treatment of 1,1′‐methylenedipyridinium dichloride with CuCl2 and Na[AuCl4], respectively. Both hybrid salts were isolated as pure compounds, fully characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and their molecular structures confirmed by powder X‐ray diffraction studies. The crystal structures consist of discrete 1,1′‐methylenedipyridinium dications and [CuCl4]2− and [AuCl4] anions for (I) and (II), respectively. As expected, the dications form a butterfly shape; the CuII centre of [CuCl4]2− has a distorted tetrahedral configuration and the AuIII centre of [AuCl4] shows a square‐planar coordination. The ionic species of (I) and the dication of (II) each have twofold axial symmetry, while the two [AuCl4] anions are located on a mirror‐plane site. Both crystal structures are stabilized by intermolecular C—H...Cl hydrogen bonds and also by Cl...π interactions. It is noteworthy that, while the average intermolecular centroid–centroid pyridinium ring distance in (I) is 3.643 (8) Å, giving strong evidence for noncovalent π–π ring interactions, for (II), the shortest centroid–centroid distance between pyridinium rings of 5.502 (9) Å is too long for any significant π–π ring interactions, which might be due to the bulk of the two [AuCl4] anions.  相似文献

Water-soluble functionalized bis(phosphine) ligands L (ah) of the general formula CH2(CH2PR2)2, where for a: R = (CH2)6OH; bg: R = (CH2)nP(O)(OEt)2, n = 2–6 and n = 8; h: R = (CH2)3NH2 ( Scheme 1), have been prepared photochemically by hydrophosphination of the corresponding 1-alkenes with H2P(CH2)3PH2. Water-soluble palladium complexes cis-[Pd(L)(OAc)2] (18) were obtained by the reaction of Pd(OAc)2 with the ligands ah in a 1:1 mixture of dichloromethane:acetonitrile. The water-soluble phosphine ligands and their palladium complexes were characterized by IR, 1H and 31P NMR. A crystallographic study of complex 1 shows that the Pd(II) ion has a square planar coordination sphere in which the acetate ligands and the diphosphine ligand deviate by less than 0.12 Å from ideal planar.  相似文献

Contamination of food with biological toxins as well as their potential use as weapons of mass destruction has created an urge for rapid and cost effective analytical techniques capable of detecting trace amounts of these toxins. This paper describes the development of a sensitive method for detection of cholera toxin (CT) using a flow-injection capacitive immunosensor based on self-assembled monolayers. The sensing surface consists of monoclonal antibodies against the B subunit of CT (anti-CT), immobilized on a gold transducer. Experimental results show that the immunosensor responded linearly to CT concentrations in the range from 1.0 × 10−13 to 1.0 × 10−10 M under optimized conditions. The limit of detection (LOD) was 1.0 × 10−14 M. Two more analytical methods were employed for detection of CT using the same antibody namely, sandwich ELISA and surface plasmon resonance (SPR)-based immunosensor. The former had an LOD of 1.2 × 10−12 M and a working range from 3.7 × 10−11 to 2.9 × 10−10 M whereas, the later had an LOD of 1.0 × 10−11 M and a linearity ranging from 1.0 × 10−9 to 1.0 × 10−6 M. These results demonstrate that the developed capacitive immunosensor system has a higher sensitivity than the other two techniques. The binding affinity of CT to the immobilized anti-CT was determined using the SPR-based immunosensor and an association constant (KA) of 1.4 × 109 M−1 was estimated.  相似文献

Development of new generation vaccines requires adjuvants to elicit the type and intensity of immune response needed for protection. Liposomes have been shown to be an effective adjuvant formulation. In this study, the role of liposome bilayer composition with different phase transition temperature (Tc) to induce a T helper 1 (Th1) type of immune response and protection against leishmaniasis in BALB/c mice was assessed. Liposome formulations with different bilayer compositions consisting of egg phosphatidylcholine (EPC, Tc < 0 °C), dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC, Tc 41 °C), or distearoylphosphatidylcholine (DSPC, Tc 54 °C) were prepared. All liposomes were contained rgp63 as a recombinant antigen and used to immunize mice subcutaneously 3 times in 3-week intervals. Evaluation of lesion development and splenic parasite burden after challenge with L. major, evaluation of Th1 cytokine (IFN-γ) and Th2 cytokine (IL-4), and titration of IgG isotypes were carried out to assess the type of generated immune response and extent of protection. The results indicated the generated immune response in mice was influenced by the bilayer composition of liposomes, so that mice immunized with liposomes consisting of EPC induced a Th2 type of immune response while liposome consisting of DPPC or DSPC induced Th1 type of immune response. It seems that liposomes prepared with higher Tm phospholipids are suitable formulation to induce Th1 type of immune response and protection, and so might be used for further investigations to develop an effective vaccine against leishmaniasis.  相似文献

Abstract  

The electronic structure of a boron nitride nanocone with 240° disclination, and some properties that derive from this structure, were studied by density-functional theory calculations. In the considered model there are only hexagonal rings, with the apex and mouth of the nanocone saturated by hydrogen atoms. The model was optimized, and then the nuclear quadrupole resonance parameters were calculated at the sites of 11B and 14N nuclei. The results revealed that the nuclei in the boron nitride nanocone are divided into layers with similar electronic properties. The nuclei at the apex and mouth are very important for the electronic behavior of the nanocone, with 11B playing the major role.  相似文献
