Brush macro‐RAFT agent mediated dispersion polymerization of styrene in the alcohol/water mixture

Dispersion RAFT polymerization of styrene in the alcohol/water mixture mediated with the brush macro‐RAFT agent of poly[poly(ethylene oxide) methyl ether vinylphenyl‐co‐styrene] trithiocarbonate [P(mPEGV‐co‐St)‐TTC] with similar molecular weight but different chemical composition is investigated. Well‐controlled RAFT polymerization including an initial slow homogeneous polymerization and a subsequent fast heterogeneous polymerization at almost complete monomer conversion is achieved. The molecular weight of the synthesized block copolymer increases linearly with the monomer conversion, and the polydispersity is relatively narrow (PDI < 1.3). The RAFT polymerization kinetics is dependent on the chemical composition in the brush macro‐RAFT agents, and those with high content of hydrophobic segment lead to fast RAFT polymerization. The growth of the block copolymer nano‐objects during the RAFT polymerization is explored, and various block copolymer nano‐objects such as nanospheres, worms, vesicles and large‐compound‐micelle‐like particles are prepared. The parameters such as the chemical composition in the brush macro‐RAFT agent, the chain length of the solvatophobic block, the concentration of the feeding monomer and the solvent character affecting the size and morphology of the block copolymer nano‐objects are investigated. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Improved λ/4 phase-shifted DFB semiconductor laser with spatial hole burning compensation using grating chirp

A λ/4 phase-shifted distributed feedback (DFB) semiconductor laser with a preformed chirped grating used to compensate the spatial hole burning (SHB) induced index change is proposed and analyzed. It shows that compared with the three phase shifted DFB laser which is known for its good performance to eliminate SHB, the proposed SHB compensated laser has better single longitudinal mode property, narrower spectral linewidth and better dynamic characteristics.     

Friedel–Crafts alkylation between chalcone epoxides and heteroarenes induced by triarylaminium salt

Triarylaminium salt was disclosed as a highly efficient nonmetallic initiator for the Friedel–Crafts reaction between chalcone epoxides and heteroarenes to construct a series of complex β-heteroaryl α-ketols in mild conditions and with good yields. Chalcone epoxides were presented as valuable halogen-free pre-electrophile in Friedel–Crafts alkylation through the formation of the stabilized benzylic cation intermediates. A plausible radical cation chain mechanism was also proposed.     

碘伏术前消毒阴道、术中冲洗宫腔预防急诊剖宫产术后切口感染疗效观察

目的 探讨碘伏术前消毒阴道、术中冲洗宫腔对产妇急诊剖宫产术后腹部切口及子宫感染有无预防作用。方法 选取2010 年3 月至2014 年6 月行急诊剖宫产术的产妇218例,随机分为3组,均采用抗生素围术期用药（头孢唑啉钠针2.0g,术中断脐后及术后各1次,静脉滴注）。Ⅰ组（81 例）0.5%碘伏术前消毒阴道、术中冲洗宫腔;Ⅱ组（73 例）0.9%氯化钠溶液术中冲洗宫腔;Ⅲ组（64 例）不做上述处理,比较3 组产妇术后腹部切口及子宫感染发生率。结果 术后腹部切口感染：Ⅰ组3例,Ⅱ组2例,Ⅲ组4例;3组比较,差异无统计学意义（P＞0.05）;术后子宫感染：Ⅰ组2 例,Ⅱ组4 例,Ⅲ组7 例;Ⅰ组与Ⅲ组比较,差异有统计学意义（P＜0.05）;Ⅰ组与Ⅱ组、Ⅱ组与Ⅲ组比较,差异均无统计学意义（均P＞0.05）。结论 在合理预防性使用抗生素前提下,碘伏术前消毒阴道、术中冲洗宫腔可降低急诊剖宫产术后子宫感染发生率。     

由从属关系定义的亚纯多叶函数的子类的某些性质

In the present paper, we introduce some new subclasses of meromorphic starlike,convex, close-to-convex and quasi-convex functions of β-reciprocal in terms of the linear operator using subordination. We obtain the coefficient estimates, convolution properties, integral preserving properties and inclusion relationships of the classes. The results presented here include several results as their special cases.     

Preparation and Characterization of Polyhydroxyurethane/Attapulgite Nanocomposites Via In-Situ Surface-Initiated Polymerization

The polyhydroxyurethane/attapulgite nanocomposites (PHU/ATP) were prepared by in-situ surface-initiated polymerization of a five-membered cyclic carbonate, 2, 2-bis [p-(1, 3-dioxolan-2-one-4-yl-methoxy) phenyl] propane (B5CC) and hexamethylene diamine, from the surface of the aminopropyl attapulgite nanoparticles (APATP) for the first time. The chemical grafting of the polymer on the surface of ATP was confirmed by FTIR and the morphology of the attapulgite nanoparticles in the nanocomposites was examined by TEM. The thermal stabilities of the polyhydroxyurethane (PHU) and the polyhydroxyurethane/attapulgite nanocomposites (PHU/ATP) were compared with thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).The %G of the attapulgite nanoparticles was also calculated from the results of TGA after the free polyhydroxyurethane was washed off.
