Study of the conformational states of amino-alcohol derivatives of some alkaloids and bases and their protonated forms and quaternary salts

Summary 1. Salsoline, salsolidine, ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, tetrahydroquinoline, and decahydroquinoline have been condensed with ethylene oxide and the corresponding amino alcohols have been obtained.2. The conformational states and spatial structures of the compounds synthesized and their protonated forms and methiodides have been studied by IR and PMR spectroscopy. It has been shown that because of the rapid conversion of the saturated parts of the molecules of the bases and inversion processes, several stable spatial forms of the N-derivatives with quarternized nitrogen atoms exist in solutions.V. Effect of γ radiation on the long-term strength of polyethylene terephthalate

By analyzing the results of a study of the long-term strength and isometric heating diagrams of polyethylene terephthalate exposed to radiation it has been established that irradiation leads to a decrease in the short-time and long-term strength of the polymer and to the misorientation of its structural elements. The coefficient in the long-term strength equation increases with the radiation dose, while U₀ varies along a curve with a maximum at small doses.Lenin Tadzhik State University. On a boundary problem with Neumann’s condition for 3D singular elliptic equations

The present work is devoted to the studying of a boundary-value problem with Neumann’s condition for three-dimensional elliptic equation with singular coefficients. The main result is a proof of the unique solvability of the problem considered. An energy integral method and a Green’s function method were used as the main tools in the proof of the main result. The unique solution is found in an explicit form, which contains Appel’s hypergeometric functions.     

Tool measurements of thunderstorms in Yakutia in 2003–2006

We propose a technique for tool measurement of the lightning-discharge density in Yakutia in 2003–2006 by the radiophysical method using one- and two-point lightning detectors. The observed features of the spatio-temporal distribution and the parameters of thunderstorm cores are discussed. Lattice dynamics and ion transport in structurally disordered chalcogenides of copper and silver

The results of studying the copper and silver selenides and their solid solutions are reported. The methods of inelastic neutron scattering and neutron diffraction analysis are used to study the dynamics and structure of the crystal lattice. The relation of the properties of dynamics and the crystal-lattice structure to the ion transport are analyzed.
