The phase diagram of the acrylic acid–acrylamide system as determined by DTA and the supporting x-ray diffraction data are presented. The hydroxy- and methoxyphthalimidoacetic acids and the methyl methoxyphthalimidoacetates have been synthesized. The ultraviolet absorption spectra of these compounds in 95% ethanol, aqueous acid, and aqueous base are discussed. Structures are suggested for the hydroxy- and methoxyphthalamate ions which are formed in basic solution. The Gabriel-Colman rearrangements of methyl 3- and 4 - methoxyphthalimidoacetate give, respectively, 8-methoxy-4-hydroxy-3 - carbomethoxy-1(2H)-isoquinolone (VII) and 6-methoxy-4-hydroxy-3-carbomethoxy-1(2H)-isoquinolone (VIII). 相似文献

A study has been made of the electrochemical reductive breakdown (ECRB) of solid-phase chlorinated butyl rubber (CBR). It has been established that CBR does not accept electrons under conditions of fast sweep of electrode potential; however, with prolonged cathodic polarization of the substrate at the polymer/cathode/solution three-phase boundary, it undergoes reduction and subsequent chemical conversion, including intermolecular cross-linking and breakdown of the macromolecules. The rate of ECRB of the CBR depends on the potential and materials of the cathode, and also on the nature of the solvent. In a aprotic medium, the process of CBR breakdown leads to the formation of long polyconjugated structures that color its surface black in the vicinity of the three-phase boundary. In an aqueous medium, no such color is observed, but the products of ECRB are found to contain conjugated double bonds with a shorter conjugation chain than in the case of the aprotic medium. Extraction of 3d-Metal Ions by Bidendate Sulfonamides. I. Ligands with Sulfur or Heterocyclic Nitrogen as a Second Donor Atom The properties of 2-acetylpyridine-p-toluensulfonylhydrazone (APSH - H), arensulfonylthioureas (I), and the esters of arensulfonylmonothiocarbamic acid (II) or arensulfonyldithiocarbamic acid (III) as extractants for the late 3d-metal ions are proved. APSH-H is comparable to the proprietary extractant LIX 34. But, because of the special structure of the corresponding 1,2-chelates, the pH1/2-values of nickel(II) and cobalt(II) are ≈2 units lower. The pKs-values, measured in dioxane-water mixtures (75 per cent v/v), increase in the order III < II < I. In aqueous solutions compounds of type III are acids of medium strength. In the case of compounds of type I the substituents of the non-sulfonated nitrogen have a strong influence on the pKs-values (ΔpKs = 4.6). Among the late 3d-elements, the ligands II and III extract only copper(II) (pH1/2 ~2.7 or ~1.6), the ligands I extract zinc(II), cobalt(II), and nickel(II) as well, but not iron(II) and iron(III). Spectroscopic and potentiometric methods have been used to study the ionic properties of several N-substituted acrylamide copolymers that display unusual ion-binding character. The ionic groups and the amide groups (both on the same repeating unit and on adjacent acrylamide units) in the copolymers are found to chelate calcium ions. The stabilizing effect of this amide chelation is found to be dependent on copolymer composition. A model is proposed to explain the unusual binding behavior of the acrylamide polymers. This involves the formation of an intramonomer chelate or one with neighboring acrylamide units that prevent precipitation of the polymers. 相似文献

The crystal structure of La3ReO8, prepared at 1425°C, is reported to be different from a previous result on a preparation at 900°C (BAUD et al., 1979). The high temperature modification crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/m with a = 7.757(1), b = 7.777(1), c = 5.928(1) Å, γ = 111.1°, Z = 2. The structure was solved by Patterson and Fourier methods from single crystal diffractometer data and refined to final R(F) = 0,073. The structure consists of isolated, distorted ReO6 octahedra and double chains of edge-shared La4O tetrahedra. 相似文献

Liquidus and solidus curves of the -AuCd phase were determined byDTA measurements. -AuCd has a congruent melting point of 629.5°C at 47 at% Cd with no signs of other minima or maxima in the liquidus curve between 43 and 51 at% Cd. Liquid and solid Au–Cd alloys were investigated by theemf method between 40 and 90 at% Cd and 653–973 K. A consistent set of integral thermodynamic data for liquid and for solid alloys of the entire Au–Cd system were calculated at 1000 and at 700K, resp., using values taken from the literature. Partial molar entropies of Cd of solid -AuCd and of liquid alloys in the same concentration range were compared and discussed with respect to ordering phenomena in solid and liquid alloys.

LDPE synthesized under two-phase conditions is known to have a good balance of blown film properties. Good optical properties and high impact strength are characteristic for two-phase LDPE grades. In order to obtain systematic information, LDPE was synthesized at several different pressures with two different melt index levels. Blown film was extruded at different output rates and melt temperatures. The influence on haze and dart drop impact was studied. Two-phase conditions were found to improve haze and dart drop impact and the improvement was impressive, especially for the low melt index grades. By increasing the output rate, the dart drop values were further improved. The influence of melt temperature on dart drop impact goes through an optimum and overall haze decreases with increasing melt temperature. For films made from two-phase grades, dart drop impact decreases as internal haze increases. For corresponding internal haze values, the films made from single-phase grades have lower dart drop values and they are somewhat scattered. 相似文献

Summary A new technique is described for the identification of the chloride ion through the formation of chromyl chloride, based on the extraction of the latter with carbon tetrachloride. The identification limit is 2g of chloride. It is possible to carry out the test in the presence of many other anions, including fluoride, which cannot be present when the traditional distillation technique is employed.
Zusammenfassung Vorgeschlagen wird eine neue Technik zum Chloridnachweis durch Bildung von Chromylchlorid. Dieser Nachweis beruht auf der Extraktion des Chromylchlorids mit Tetrachlorkohlenstoff. Die Nachweisgrenze liegt bei 2g Chlorid, wobei die Möglichkeit besteht, den Test auch in Gegenwart von Fluorid durchzuführen, das bei Anwendung der üblichen Destillationsmethoden nicht anwesend sein darf.相似文献
