The paper presents the classification of the electronic empty lattice eigenvalues and the classification of the Bloch sums for the garnet structureIa3d (O h 10 ) at the symmetry points, H, P, andN of the Brillouin zone. We study linear response theory in the general framework of algebraic quantum statistical mechanics and prove the Green-Kubo formula and the Onsager reciprocity relations for heat fluxes generated by temperature differentials. A water-cooled 785 nm diode-side-pumped high-power CW Tm:YAG laser system at 2 μm is reported. 200 W output power is achieved with cooling water running at 8°C. As far as we know, this is the highest output power for a diode-pumped all solid-state 2 μm Tm:YAG laser. The output corresponds to optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 11.2%, with a slope efficiency of about 22.8%. To make the system structure simple, only deionized water is used as the coolant instead of alcohol- or glycol-water mixture or the liquid nitrogen in the reported high-power Tm rod laser experiments, which were performed at low temperature near the freezing point of water, or even below.  相似文献

A classical treatment of the interaction between an ion and a conducting surface during an ion desorption process is presented. Analytical expressions have been obtained for the trajectories of desorbing ions as well as for the trajectories of ions trapped by the image potential. The distortion by the image potential of the energy and angular distribution of desorbing ions is estimated. Our objective has been to provide a guide for experimentalists to the surprisingly large changes in such distributions caused by the image forces.  相似文献

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a 40 Gb/s secure optical communication system with on-off-keying (OOK) modulation format by using a time domain spectral phase en/decoding scheme, which employs a highly dispersive element and high-speed phase modulator for introducing significant symbol overlapping for both the encoded and incorrectly decoded noiselike signals to enhance the information security against eavesdropping using a power detector. The influence of dispersion and chip modulation rate on the symbol overlapping of the incorrectly decoded signal has been analytically investigated and experimentally verified. Security enhancement for 40 Gb/s OOK data using fast reconfigurable 40 Gchip/s optical codes with code lengths of up to 1024 has been demonstrated and compared with a 10 Gb/s system.  相似文献

Using the field theoretic renormalization group technique the model of a passive vector field advected by an incompressible turbulent flow is investigated up to the second order of the perturbation theory (two-loop approximation). The turbulent environment is given by statistical fluctuations of the velocity field that has a Gaussian distribution with zero mean and defined noise with finite correlations in time. Two-loop analysis of all possible scaling regimes in general d-dimensional space is done in the plane of exponents ? ? η, where ? characterizes the energy spectrum of the velocity field in the inertial range Ek 1 ? 2ε, and η is related to the correlation time at the wave number k which is scaled as k ?2 + η. It is shown that the scaling regimes of the present model of vector advection have essentially different properties than the scaling regimes of the corresponding model of passively advected scalar quantity. The results demonstrate the fact that within the present model of passively advected vector field the internal tensor structure of the advected field can have nontrivial impact on the diffusion processes deep inside in the inertial interval of given turbulent flow.  相似文献

We investigated the film-thickness and ambient oxygen-pressure dependence of the electric field, EF, required to initiate unipolar resistance switching (URS) in Ta2O5?x thin films. We measured the dependence of EF by applying a triangular-waveform voltage signal to the film over a wide sweep-rate range (v = 20 mV s?1 to 5 MV s?1). Our results showed that the URS-EF was not influenced by the Ta2O5?x film thickness nor ambient oxygen-pressure. This suggested that the URS-forming process in Ta2O5?x thin films should be governed by thermally assisted dielectric breakdown in our measurement range.  相似文献

The effect of the annealing temperature T ann of extruded polypropylene films on the structure of membranes prepared by the uniaxial extension of annealed films with the subsequent thermal fixation has been investigated using small-angle X-ray scattering and scanning electron microscopy. It has been shown that an increase in the permeability of membranes with increasing temperature T ann is due to the self-organization of elements of the lamellar structure of the polymer as a result of the ordering and aggregation of particles.  相似文献

We present the first single-crystal study of Fe and Ni doped U(Co1-x T x )Al compounds in comparison to the parent compound, the itinerant 5f-electron metamagnet UCoAl. Magnetization and specific-heat data measured in the temperature range of (1.8-300) K and in fields up to 10 T are analyzed and discussed. Both compounds exhibit a strong uniaxial anisotropy with the dominating magnetic response along the c-axis of the hexagonal ZrNiAl-type structure. Ni substitution yields an increase of the critical field for metamagnetism; UCo0.95Fe0.05Al is ferromagnetic below 30 K. Temperature evolution of the entropy change between 0 and 10 T points to involvement of magnetic correlations or spin fluctuations in the paramagnetic compounds UCoAl and UCo0.95Ni0.05Al.  相似文献
