Lithiation of BF 3-complexed dimethylaminoferrocene occurs exclusively ortho to the dimethylamino group in the cyclopentadienyl ring providing structurally diverse products in 76-94% yield after electrophile quench. This method represents the first direct C2-lithiation of a monosubstituted aminoferrocene, offering rapid and complementary access to this class of compounds over procedures that utilize carbon- and sulfur-based directing groups and may serve as a prelude to an asymmetric process. 相似文献

In the presence of the N-heterocyclic carbene gold catalyst (NHC-AuIPr, 7), propargyl esters 1a-f and 13 undergo a [4C+3C] cycloaddition reaction with cyclopentadiene and furan under mild conditions. We consider an environment with m machines in parallel operating at different speeds. The processing requirements of all jobs are independent and have the same exponential distribution. Job j may only be processed on a specific subset of the m machines, referred to as its restricted set. The restricted sets are nested and preemptions are allowed. In situ straining in the transmission electron microscope and diffraction-contrast electron tomography have been applied to the investigation of dislocation/grain boundary and dislocation/twin boundary interactions in α-Ti. It was found that, similar to FCC materials, the transfer of dislocations across grain boundaries is governed primarily by the minimization of the magnitude of the Burgers vector of the residual grain boundary dislocation. Detachment of heme prosthetic groups from gaseous myoglobin ions has been studied by collision-induced dissociation and infrared multiphoton dissociation in combination with Fourier-transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry. Multiply charged holomyoglobin ions (hMbn+) were generated by electrospray ionization and transferred to an ion cyclotron resonance cell, where the ions of interest were isolated and fragmented by either collision with Ar atoms or irradiation with 3 mum photons, producing apomyoglobin ions (aMbn+). Both charged heme loss (with [Fe(III)-heme]+ and aMb(n-1)+ as the products) and neutral heme loss (with [Fe(II)-heme] and aMbn+ as the products) were detected concurrently for hMbn+ produced from a myoglobin solution pretreated with reducing reagents. By reference to Ea = 0.9 eV determined by blackbody infrared radiative dissociation for charged heme loss of ferric hMbn+, an activation energy of 1.1 eV was deduced for neutral heme loss of ferrous hMbn+ with n = 9 and 10. 相似文献

ZnO nanowire field-effect transistors (FETs) were fabricated and studied in vacuum and a variety of ambient gases from 5 to 300 K. In air, these n-type nanowire transistors have among the highest mobilities yet reported for ZnO FETs (mu(e) = 13 +/- 5 cm(2) V(-1) s(-1)), with carrier concentrations averaging 5.2 +/- 2.5 x 10(17) cm(-3) and on-off current ratios ranging from 10(5) to 10(7). Four probe measurements show that the resistivity of the Ti/Au-ZnO contacts is 0.002-0.02 Omega.cm. The performance characteristics of the nanowire transistors are intimately tied to the presence and nature of adsorbed surface species. In addition, we describe a dynamic gate effect that seems to involve mobile surface charges and causes hysteresis in the transconductance, among other effects. 相似文献

An ensemble of InAs quantum dots with ground state transition energies centered at 1.216 eV and density 1011dots/cm2 has been studied by time-resolved photoluminescence (PL). The wavelength of the 100-fs excitation pulse was tuned through the ground (excited) state transitions, resulting in resonant (optical phonon sideband) PL. The decay of the PL was time resolved with a streak camera in the interval 1.5–3 ns to avoid scattered laser light. The intensity of the PL was recorded with its polarization both parallel with and perpendicular to the excitation polarization (along one of the crystal’s cleave axes); the ratio is 2.22 at low temperatures and low excitation. A phenomenological rate equation analysis is made, separating the excitations into two classes, one polarized along the excitation polarization and the other unpolarized (either that way immediately after the excitation pulse or scattered from the first class). Excellent fits to the data lead to the conclusion that both classes decay radiatively with a lifetime of 1 ns, and a transfer from the polarized to the unpolarized species takes place with a distribution time of 12 ns at low temperatures and low excitation, dropping rapidly toward zero for temperatures above 30 K and for intense excitation levels. The polarization of a coherently excited ground state exciton should dephase with a rate equal to the sum of the radiative rate plus the inverse of this distribution time. 相似文献

In this paper, we apply the methods developed in recent work for constructing A-twisted (2, 2) Landau–Ginzburg models to analogous (0, 2) models. In particular, we study (0, 2) Landau–Ginzburg models on topologically non-trivial spaces away from large-radius limits, where one expects to find correlation function contributions akin to (2, 2) curve corrections. Such heterotic theories admit A- and B-model twists, and exhibit a duality that simultaneously exchanges the twists and dualizes the gauge bundle. We explore how this duality operates in heterotic Landau–Ginzburg models, as well as other properties of these theories, using examples which renormalization-group flow to heterotic nonlinear sigma models as checks on our methods. 相似文献
