Locoweeds cause significant livestock poisoning and economic loss all over the world. The purpose of this study was to investigate the immune effects of locoweed toxin, swainsonine (SW) and human serum albumin (HSA) conjugate (SW-HSA), on goats. Twenty-four Sannon goats were randomly separated into immune control group (eight goats), immune poisoning group I (six goats), immune poisoning group II (six goats) and poisoning control group (four goats). Immune control group, immune poisoning groups I and II were first vaccinated with SW-HSA conjugate. The poisoning control group, immune poisoning groups I and II were then fed with 10.0 g/kg BW/day dry powder of Oxytropis kansuensis Bunge everyday morning. The immune control group was supplied with an alfalfa-based diet. Blood samples of these experimental animals were collected at different time interval. Immunoassay was performed using indirect ELISA and E-rosette technique. The results show that, after second booster immunization: (1) anti-SW antibody level in some goats increased to 2(8), which proves that SW-HSA conjugate can induce experimental animals to produce high-level anti-SW antibody in their bodies; (2) the high-level antibody in their bodies could maintain 30 days, and decreased gradually after poisoning experiment (in our experiment, there was a return of the antibody level on day 21 after poisoning experiment); (3) the decreasing of the E-rosette rate of the immune poisoning group was delayed 14 days, which suggests that SW-HSA could low down the loss of the immunity of the goats; (4) swainsonine concentration in the blood was significantly lower (p<0.01) in the immune poisoning groups than that in the poisoning control group, and there was no significant difference (p>0.01) between the two immune poisoning groups within the poisoning experiment. 相似文献
Charitable crowdfunding provides a new channel for people and families suffering from unforeseen events, such as accidents, severe illness, and so on, to seek help from the public. Thus, finding the key determinants which drive the fundraising process of crowdfunding campaigns is of great importance, especially for those suffering. With a unique data set containing 210,907 crowdfunding projects covering a period from October 2015 to June 2020, from a famous charitable crowdfunding platform, specifically Qingsong Chou, we will reveal how many online donations are due to endogeneity, referring to the positive feedback process of attracting more people to donate through broadcasting campaigns in social networks by donors. For this aim, we calibrate three different Hawkes processes to the event data of online donations for each crowdfunding campaign on each day, which allows us to estimate the branching ratio, a measure of endogeneity. It is found that the online fundraising process works in a sub-critical state and nearly 70–90% of the online donations are endogenous. Furthermore, even though the fundraising amount, number of donations, and number of donors decrease rapidly after the crowdfunding project is created, the measure of endogeneity remains stable during the entire lifetime of crowdfunding projects. Our results not only deepen our understanding of online fundraising dynamics but also provide a quantitative framework to disentangle the endogenous and exogenous dynamics in complex systems. 相似文献

The unique electronic structures of heteroatomic conjugated polymers (HCPs) offer an attractive platform to tune optoelectronic properties via a supramolecular coordination strategy. This study reports on an sp2 nitrogen heteroatom containing fluorene‐based copolymer namely poly(9,9‐dioctylfluorene‐co‐9,9‐dioctyldiazafluoren‐2,7‐yl) (PF8‐co‐DAF8), with ≈20% DAF8 units. Tuning the optoelectronic properties of PF8‐co‐DAF8 via supramolecular coordination with a Lewis acid (B(C6F5)3 or AlCl3) is explored. Formation of either the PF8‐co‐DAF8‐B(C6F5)3 or PF8‐co‐DAF8‐AlCl3 adducts reduces the optical gap and causes an attendant redshift of the photoluminescence spectra. Controlling the degree and strength of the coordination allows the emission color to be tuned from blue through to green and yellow. This strategy is successfully implemented for polymer light‐emitting diodes, confirming the large degree of spectral tuning whilst maintaining good device performance. Maximum luminous efficiencies, η ≈ 1.55 cd A−1@ 2120 cd m−2, 1.32 cd A−1@ 1424 cd m−2, and 2.56 cd A−1@ 910 cd m−2 are, respectively, recorded for the blue‐emitting diodes with Commission Internationale de L'Eclairage (CIE) (x, y) coordinates = (0.16, 0.16), the white‐emitting diodes with CIE (x, y) = (0.28, 0.38) and the green‐emitting diodes with CIE (x, y) = (0.33, 0.52). The results highlight the versatility of the supramolecular coordination strategy in modifying the electronic structure of HCPs.
By using instrumental variable technology and the partial group smoothly clipped absolute deviation penalty method, we propose a variable selection procedure for a class of partially varying coefficient models with endogenous variables. The proposed variable selection method can eliminate the influence of the endogenous variables. With appropriate selection of the tuning parameters, we establish the oracle property of this variable selection procedure. A simulation study is undertaken to assess the finite sample performance of the proposed variable selection procedure. 相似文献
The haptens 4-[[(2,3-dihydro-2,2-dimethyl-7-benzofuranyloxy)carbonyl]-amino]butanoic acid (BFNB) and 6-[((2,3-dihydro-2,2-dimethyl-7-benzofuranyloxy)-carbonylamino]hexanoic acid (BFNH) were synthesized and then used to develop a rapid,specific and sensitive ELISA method to determine residues of the pesticide carbofuran in a variety of matrices. A hybridoma cell line (5D3) producing anti-carbofuran monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) was also established. Based on the MAbs in combination with the heterologous hapten BFNH coupled to either horseradish peroxidase (HRP) or ovalbumin(OVA), four ELISAs (formats I-IV) for the quantification of carbofuran were developed and compared. Among them, the optimized format II (the conjugate-coated direct competitive ELISA) showed the best characteristics, with an IC50 value of 18.49 ng/mL, a limit of detection of 0.11 ng/mL and the shortest assay time (1 h). This ELISA method was then applied to the determinations of carbofuran in environmental water, soil and food samples. The relative standard deviations (R.S.D.s) ranged from 1.8% to 21.3% and the mean recoveries were 104.6%, 108.3%, 106.3% and 100.1% for water, soil, lettuce and cabbage, respectively. Thus, the ELISA method of format II exhibited the potential to develop commercial ELISA kits for a rapid detection of carbofuran for human health and environmental safety. 相似文献
