Neutron capture therapy (NCT) is a binary radio-chemotherapeutic modality for the treatment of cancer. A major focus of NCT-related research is the development of novel tumor-selective agents that serve as the chemical component in NCT. Thymidine analogues substituted with a boron-containing carborane cluster at the N3 position, designated 3CTAs (3-carboranyl thymidine analogues), constitute one class of these new improved NCT agents. Programmed frameshifting is a recoding event in which a ribosome shifts reading frame by one or more nucleotides at a specific mRNA signal between overlapping genes. Programmed frameshifting is involved in the expression of many genes in a wide range of organisms, especially in viruses and bacteria. The mechanism of programmed frameshifting is not fully understood despite many studies, and there are few databases available for detailed information on programmed frameshifting. We have developed a database called FSDB (Frameshift Signal Database), which is a comprehensive compilation of experimentally known or computationally predicted data about programmed ribosomal frameshifting. FSDB provides a graphical view of frameshift signals and the genes using programmed frameshifting for their expression. It also allows the user himself/herself to find programmed frameshift sites in genomic sequences using a program called FSFinder (http://wilab.inha.ac.kr/fsfinder2). We believe FSDB will be a valuable resource for scientists studying programmed ribosomal frameshifting. FSDB is freely accessible at http://wilab.inha.ac.kr/fsdb/. 相似文献

We obtain a global weighted L p estimate for the gradient of the weak solutions to divergence form elliptic equations with measurable coefficients in a nonsmooth bounded domain. The coefficients are assumed to be merely measurable in one variable and to have small BMO semi-norms in the remaining variables, while the boundary of the domain is supposed to be Reifenberg flat, which goes beyond the category of domains with Lipschitz continuous boundaries. As consequence of the main result, we derive global gradient estimate for the weak solution in the framework of the Morrey spaces which implies global Hölder continuity of the solution. 相似文献

Arc plasma deposition (APD) has been used for surface treatment of glass and polyimide (PI) substrates for Cu electroless deposition (ELD). The thickness of Cu ELD films increased linearly with time up to 2,000 nm on glass and 3,400 nm on PI substrates. Resistivity of Cu ELD films on glass (1.4–3.4 μΩ cm) and on PI (4.1–5.8 μΩ cm) was lower than that reported for conventional ELD processes (5–10 μΩ cm). The adhesion strength of Cu ELD films produced by our process was as good as, or better than, that for conventional Cu ELD films. APD is an effective, simple, and dry method for deposition of the seed layer for ELD on the surfaces of insulating materials. 相似文献

Bis-cyclometalated iridium(iii) complexes [Ir(F(2)ppy)(2)] (), [Ir(F(2)CNppy)(2)] (), [Ir(DMAF(2)ppy)(2)] () and [Ir(MeOF(2)ppy)(2)] () (F(2)ppy = 4',6'-difluoro-2-phenylpyridinate, F(2)CNppy = 5'-cyano-4',6'-difluoro-2-phenylpyridinate, DMAF(2)ppy = 4',6'-difluoro-4-dimethylamino-2-phenylpyridinate, MeOF(2)ppy = 4',6'-difluoro-4-methyl-2-phenylpyridinate and = 3,5-dimethylpyrazole-N-carboxamide) emitting in the sky blue region were synthesized. We studied the effect of the ancillary ligand and the substituents on the cyclometalating ligands on the crystal structures, photophysical and electrochemical properties and the frontier orbitals. Density functional theory (DFT) calculation results indicate that in and the cyclometalating ligands show negligible participation in the HOMO, the ancillary ligand being the main participant along with the Ir(iii) d-orbitals. exhibits the maximum photoluminescence quantum efficiency and radiative emission rates along with the dominant low frequency metal-ligand vibrations and maximum reorganization energy in the excited state. All the substituted complexes show more polar characteristics than , possessing the highest dipole moment among the complexes. The performances of the solution-synthesised organic light emitting devices (OLEDs) of , and doped in a blend of mCP (m-bis(N-carbazolylbenzene)) and polystyrene are studied. 相似文献

Thick target 7Li(p,n) neutron spectra were measured using a 3He ion chamber in the proton energy range of 1.95 to 2.30 MeV. The fast neutron spectra were collected for various distances from the lithium target as well as for various neutron emission angles. By unfolding the 3He raw data with the iterative van Cittert algorithm, the neutron fluence spectra were obtained. The 3He measured neutron spectra were compared with both analytically computed and Monte Carlo simulated spectra to account for neutron scatterings in the lithium target assembly and in the experimental area. To verify the accuracy of the neutron dose computation, the fast neutron kerma was obtained for each neutron spectrum using the fluence to kerma conversion coefficients and was compared with the measured neutron dose using tissue-equivalent proportional counters. In the position dependence investigation at the 0° emission angle, the analytically computed neutron kerma overestimates the experimental kerma by a factor of two mainly due to neutron moderation. The corresponding neutron kerma from the 3He measured spectra were in agreement with the neutron doses measured using tissue-equivalent proportional counters within 20% for lower proton energies, but the discrepancy increased to ~50% for higher proton energies. In the angular distribution investigation, a notable discrepancy between measured and computed neutron spectra were observed due to the neutron scattering effects in the target assembly and experimental room. 相似文献

We demonstrated enhanced surface plasmon resonance (SPR) detection by incorporating an indium tin oxide (ITO) layer on a thin gold film. Porous ITO layers were fabricated by e-beam evaporation and slanted deposition at room temperature and the ITO structure was optimized in terms of the surface roughness and the SPR curve characteristics. In sensing experiments, the results obtained by ethanol–water mixture test showed that SPR substrates with a porous ITO layer provided a notable sensitivity improvement compared to a conventional bare gold film, which is attributed to the nonlinear dispersion characteristic of surface plasmons. Our approach is intended to show the feasibility and extend the applicability of the porous ITO-mediated SPR biosensor to diverse biomolecular binding events. 相似文献

White fat cells secrete adipokines that induce inflammation and obesity has been reported to be characterized by high serum levels of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and TNF-α. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a prototype of inflammatory arthritis, but the relationship between RA and obesity is controversial. We made an obese inflammatory arthritis model: obese collagen-induced arthritis (CIA). C57BL/6 mice were fed a 60-kcal high fat diet (HFD) from the age of 4 weeks and they were immunized twice with type II collagen (CII). After immunization, the obese CIA mice showed higher arthritis index scores and histology scores and a more increased incidence of developing arthritis than did the lean CIA mice. After treatment with CII, mixed lymphocyte reaction also showed CII-specific response more intensely in the obese CIA mice than lean CIA. The anti-CII IgG and anti-CII IgG2a levels in the sera of the obese CIA mice were higher than those of the lean CIA mice. The number of Th17 cells was higher and the IL-17 mRNA expression of the splenocytes in the obese CIA mice was higher than that of the lean CIA mice. Obese CIA mice also showed high IL-17 expression on synovium in immunohistochemistry. Although obesity may not play a pathogenic role in initiating arthritis, it could play an important role in amplifying the inflammation of arthritis through the Th1/Th17 response. The obese CIA murine model will be an important tool when we investigate the effect of several therapeutic target molecules to treat RA. 相似文献
