Importance of elastic deformation control to obtain large output force with a surface acoustic wave (SAW) motor is discussed in this paper. By adding pre-load to slider, stator and slider surfaces are deformed in a few tens nanometer. Appropriate deformation in normal direction against normal vibration displacement amplitude of SAW existed. By moderate deformation, the output force of the SAW motor was enlarged up to about 10 N and no-load speed was 0.7 m/s. To produce this performance, the transducer weight and slider size were only 4.2 g and 4 x 4 mm(2).By traveling wave propagation, surface particles of the SAW device move in elliptical motion. Due to the amplitude of the elliptical motion is 10 or 20 nm order, the contact condition of the slider is very critical. To control the contact condition, namely, the elastic deformation of the slider and stator surface in nanometer order, a lot of projections were fabricated on the slider surface. The projection diameter was 20 micro m. In static condition, the elastic deformation and stress were evaluated with the FEM analysis. From this calculation and the simulation result, it is consider that the wave crest is distorted, hence the elasticity has influence on the friction drive condition.Elastic deformation of the stator surface beneath the projection from the initial position were evaluated. In 4 x 4 mm(2) square area, the sliders had from 1089 to 23,409 projections. Depression was independent to the contact pressure. However, the output force depended on the depression although the projection density were different. From the view point of the output power of the motor, the proper depression was independent to the projection density. Around 25 nm depression, the output force and output power were maximized. This depression value was almost same as the vibration displacement amplitude of the stator transducer. 相似文献

Introduction of an asymmetric center to C-2 of one of the benzothiophene rings of bisbenzothienylperfluorocyclopentene results in a highly diastereoselective photochromic system. The stereogenic center bears a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, and a methoxymethoxy group. The steric as well as the electronic repulsions gave an 87-88% diastereomer excess in various solvents at room temperature with 80-85% conversion to the colored form. The enantioselective synthesis was also carried out. Upon photoirradiation in hexane, a change in optical rotation at 820 nm, where neither the open form nor the colored form absorbs light, was observed repeatedly. 相似文献

We consider a certain Dirichlet series of Rankin-Selberg type associated with two Siegel cusp forms of the same integral weight with respect to Spn(Z). In particular, we give an explicit formula for the Dirichlet series associated with the Ikeda lifting of cuspidal Hecke eigenforms with respect to SL2(Z). Several aspects of vortex motion are considered, with a special stress on the present status of idealization, such as point vortices or vortex filament. As an introduction, elements of vortices induced by the transient flow past an obstacle are considered and their role and development are stated.
Following this introduction, a general survey of the issues in this symposium is made sketchily. As an example, the motion of point vortices in the presence of an external flow or a boundary is discussed on the basis of the Hamiltonian formalism. The cases of linear flow and semicircular boundary are taken as examples of regular and chaotic motions. Secular behaviour of a pair of vortices in the flow is remarked. 相似文献

LaCuOSe is a wide band gap (~2.8 eV) semiconductor with unique optoelectronic properties, including room-temperature stable excitons, high hole mobility ~8 cm(2)/(Vs), and the capability of high-density hole doping (up to 1.7 × 10(21) cm(-3) using Mg). Moreover, its carrier transport and doping behaviors exhibit nonconventional results, e.g., the hole concentration increases with decreasing temperature and the high hole doping does not correlate with other properties such as optical absorption. Herein, secondary ion mass spectroscopy and photoemission spectroscopy reveal that aliovalent ion substitution of Mg at the La site is not the main source of hole doping and the Fermi level does not shift even in heavily doped LaCuOSe:Mg. As the hole concentration increases, the subgap optical absorption becomes more intense, but the increase in intensity does not correlate quantitatively. Transmission electron microscopy indicates that planar defects composed of Cu and Se deficiencies are easily created in LaCuOSe. These observations can be explained via the existence of a degenerate low-mobility layer and formation of complex Cu and Se vacancy defects with the assistance of generalized gradient approximation band calculations. 相似文献

Epitaxial growth and electron doping of 12CaO·7Al2O3 (C12A7) and 12SrO·7Al2O3 (S12A7) are reported. The C12A7 films were prepared on Y3Al5O12 (YAG) single-crystal substrates by pulsed laser deposition at room temperature and subsequent thermal crystallization. X-ray diffraction patterns revealed the films were grown epitaxially with the orientation relationship of (001)[100] C12A7 || (001)[100] YAG. For S12A7, pseudo-homoepitaxial growth was attained on the C12A7 epitaxial layer. Upon electron doping, metallic conduction was achieved in the C12A7 film and the S12A7/C12A7 double-layered films. Analyses of optical absorption spectra for the S12A7/C12A7 films provided the densities of free electrons in each layer separately. Hall measurements exhibited larger electron mobility in the S12A7/C12A7 film than those in C12A7 and S12A7 films, suggesting free electrons may be accumulated at the S12A7/C12A7 interface due presumably to a discontinuity of the cage conduction bands. 相似文献

Unlike conventional electrospun polymer fibers deposited on a target electrode as a randomly oriented mesh, poly(p‐xylenetetrahydrothiophenium chloride) was electrospun into centimeters‐long yarns vertically on the surface of the electrode but parallel to the electric field. The diameter of the yarn was strongly affected by the concentration, spinning rate, and viscosity of the polymer solution, but less dependent on the applied voltage. The subsequent carbonization of thus‐electrospun yarns at 600–1000 °C resulted in uniaxially aligned carbon nanofibers with average diameters of 127–184 nm. On the basis of Raman spectra, the graphitic crystallite size and the molar fraction of graphite were estimated to be 1.2–1.4 and 0.21–0.24 nm, respectively. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
